I booked on their website with Tina. Because she is the only one with photo. But the lady who did for my nail was introducing herself as Annie. This lady is old Vietnamese. She doesn't put the nail polish well. Not sure if she can see well enough to do the job right. I had to ask several times to fill in my empty nails but she messed it badly. I didn't get to see my toe nail until I got home and it looks terrible. Her station is filthy. I had to clean myself. She didn't do any hand massage which others do. I'm not happy at all with my visit. I won't go here any more. She did such a terrible job. I used the gift certificate from my son. I hate to waste it like this. But so unhappy with the result. When I received the gel polish service it was the quickest application by far I've ever had, so I was not super surprised but should've advocated more. Overall, I really liked this salon. I've been to several places around Gainesville. And most of them are not good and I always feel rushed. I did feel a little slighted because the person next to me started before me but finished after me. However, this place is pretty good and seemed very friendly. I had Andy for my pedicure. Although, he's not the best in my experience he's decent enough. Pros: decent massage (because it wasn't 2 seconds long like most places) but, I would recommend to ensure the customer's legs and feet are in a more relaxed position when massaging. He's a good painter, and he shapes the nail beds nicely. Cons: I do like my nail bed to have more attention with smoothing and getting that skin off around it. Trust me, I know the difference between a great job and mediocre job. He was in between that. I do have to mention the person next to me had Ivy. Just by watching her out of my peripheral, I could tell she was much better. Seems to give an excellent massage too. One thing that bothered me was no one asked if I wanted a water like they did for the other customers. I mention this for learning purposes. You must treat everyone the same. So hopefully that was just an oversight. I would definitely recommend this place. I will probably request someone else the next time though. The front guy was really nice but I didn't catch his name. The few times I've visited this salon, I'm blown away by the staff attitudes. I will not be returning. The most recent time, I called ahead and showed up at the time they said they could fit in removing my powder manicure. I showed up on time but they asked me to wait. I'm sure they forgot about me because when I got up to stretch my legs and appear in their line of vision, they called me right over. The lady sanded my nails so aggressively that I still have grooves in my nails a month later! See picture. She sanded, then soaked in acetone, then kept reminding me that I was soaking them the wrong way (prompting me to ask her to demonstrate instead of continuing to be condescending), then sanded off the remaining sns because she was in a hurry. Wow! First off, the staff is beyond friendly, I have never been to a nail salon and had such a warm welcoming. My family booked 4 appointments at 6pm on a Friday night. They didn't rush us, offered us drinks numerous times. I had asked for a Pinterest nail design with glitter and they made it happen. I really wish Yelp allowed half stars because if so I would give this business 3.5 stars. Let me start off by saying most of the staff in here are fabulous. From my first visit them seemed to really listen to my wishes and make sure I was satisfied. I typically get the SNS or gel manicure and each time the application is done flawlessly (no cuts, which is very important to me). So why the three star rating? Unfortunately each time (except for once) that I've gotten my nails done they have lasted les than a week before they start to chip and crack. I pay extra for SNS and gel in order for them to last longer, so having them chip (especially my SNS) by day four is very annoying. What makes matters worse is that they're policy only covers chips that happens in the first 24 hours. Overall there customer service is phenomenal, but unfortunately I have not been satisfied with the long term wear of my manicures. read more

Worst. I made an appointment but when we got there we still had to wait. Not too bad except when they finally came to get us they filled my water and let my daughter sit for a while with a dirty area . I went to the bathroom...disgusting and dirty. The lady who did my pedi had a extremely dirty station that she did nothing to fix. In fact, I didn't realize until she was part way through my pedi that she didn't even open a new clean pack of tools and used the tools and towels she already had there. She rushed through my pedi missing some ingrowns. The guy who finally did my daughters pedi did a good job but kept having to leave to answer the phone and check people out so I had to wait for her to be done for a while. After a few minutes the lady that did my pedi threw what (from experience) was supposed to be a warm towel on my legs (I was completely done by then) but was freezing cold...then just left it there for about 10 mins while she looked at her phone. To add insult to injury she used the same tools and towels on the next persons AND yelled at me when I tried to put my daughters shoes on to leave saying it wasn't long enough and I needed to sit down. One negative comment.. there was a lady technician who was literally talking too much with a very high pitch tone on my March 15th visit. Given that I came at 530pm, they still had few customers when I came and I called first to see if they can accommodate me still. I actually had a headache after my pedicure. Clients should feel relaxed after a great pedicure but that was not my experience. I hope the staff will consider how their clients are feeling too. I will still come back because of Pau and/or Iris. AVOID MIMI.  I wasn't going to write a review but after I learned what was said about me after I left the salon, I decided to write this.  Here is my one star experience:  I visited this nail salon on a Thursday to get a manicure and a pedicure before I went out of town.  I had the manicure first.  During the pedicure, the manicurist (who I later learned was named Mimi) buffed my heels and when I flinched, she asked if I was okay and so I told her it hurt.  She stopped.  When she was done with the pedicure, and was painting my toenails, I noticed blood in the area she buffed. She asked me "What happened?"  I told her she buffed it.  I asked for a band aide and so she put one on.  I was willing to overlook it because truly - I just wanted to leave and my heel will heal.  I just made a mental note not to return to this Mimi person and return to another person whom my girlfriend recommended.  I went out of town the next day with a bunch of girlfriends, one of whom actually recommended this nail salon to me.  In fact a bunch of my girlfriends who went on the trip regularly go to this nail salon.  Two days post manicure, my girlfriend, who recommended this nail salon actually noticed my cuticles, as they were red and peeling.  I was shocked.  I also showed her my heel.  She took pictures of both and planned to send it to her manicurist.  I was completely shocked.  I have never had my cuticles damaged after a manicure.  I returned to town four days after the manicure and I decided to return to the salon the next morning because I wanted to show them the damage that was done and I wanted to either get a refund or a gift certificate so I can try my girlfriend's manicurist.  Fortunately, the lady who did my nails was there and I was able to get her name - Mimi.  I was shocked when she pointed to my nails and said that was normal two to three days after a manicure.  I told her I don't care about the chip because it is normal.  I told her what wasn't normal were the red and peeling cuticles.  I also showed her my heel to which she responded that she didn't touch that portion of my heel.  REALLY? I couldn't believe what I was hearing.  To the salon's credit, they gave me a gift card for a manicure and pedicure.  The next day, my cuticle on one finger started to bleed so I had to spend about $7.00 to get cuticle lotion.  At the end of the day, I am really out of pocket because Mimi kept the tip I gave her and I had to spend $ that I would not have spent on cuticle lotion.  This is why I am writing the review: I find out from a reliable source that after I left the salon, Mimi tells everyone that my cuticles were damaged BEFORE she gave me the manicure.  Unbelievable.  I'll figure out a way to post pix. read more

This salon is probably the best one I have been to. I don't treat myself often, but this experience made me wish I did. We showed up without appointment to what looked like a busy house. We still were taken within 10 mins, offered drinks and given pedicures/manicures that have held up more than any others I've had. He really meant well but I mean I already gave him a second chance when I was sitting there hurt my finger then when I got home I realized there's a whole spot missing on my dip another finger had the whole finish not even put on the top coat I had to put my own crappy top coat on it and then another finger has a blotchy cloudy spot on it. I'm not going out of my way to come back and get it done I'm just never going back there you have to really take the whole entire thing off there's paint stuffed underneath the bottom layers of my nail on the opposite side. Had a Shellac manicure here - thought I'd try somewhere new. Did not enjoy this experience at all!! And I had to come back a day later as 3 nails had already chipped (Shellac should last 2-3 weeks). I went back to my now favorite nail salon today and had yet another GREAT experience. Mimi gave me my pedicure and I almost passed out. She delicately massaged my feet and legs for *legitimately* 20 minutes. I know this because I had to reset the timer on my chair two times (in increments of ten minutes). WOW! I can't tell you how much I needed that today. Also, I decided to get acrylic nails for an event this weekend and another employee did a phenomenal job, I believe her name was Lisa. I wish That I could get this place zero stars, I went in for a simple wax for my upper and eyebrows. I have gotten wax regularly since I was 16 years old.... I am 23 now do that would be 7 years. It was terrible, the lady forgot to wax the middle in between my eyebrows, I had to ask her to do it. She still almost forgot to do it. Then when she waxed my lip she literally got wax in my nose. There was wax all over my face, in my eyelashes, in my nose, the side of my nose, and even after she tried to wipe it all off when she showed me in the mirror my end result there was still wax on my face that I picked off myself.
