It's been a long while since I visited the Angelic Nails in Haymarket - primarily because I was visiting the Angelic Nails in Centreville all these years. I was in desperate need of a manicure - so at the last minute, I walked in - hoping that I would not have to wait - and that whomever performed my manicure - would do a quality job. As chance would have it - there was a nail technician available immediately. The place was pretty busy when I arrived - so I lucked out. The young lady who did my manicure did a fantastic job! When she was done - I requested she buff my nails to make them shiny. She had to search for a minute to find the necessary buffing block. My only criticism of this location is that the temperature inside was on the warm and stuffy side. Guys - it's summertime and it's hot out. Let's make sure we use the Air Conditioning! If I could give 0 stars I would. Called, they said yes to walk in pedicure, get there and they said no one can do it. WTH?

I have been a customer at Angelic Nails for over a year now. I always get the same service with the same person. During my last visit I noticed that the prices were higher than usual, so when I got home, I reviewed my bank statement for the last 12 months. Every month I was charged a different price for the same services. I understand a couple of times there was a nail repair, but the variance was shocking and unacceptable. I was charged between $74 - $101 for a pedicure and fill (w/o tip). The nail tech does a good job however, she NEVER starts on time for my appointment. She is always running 10-20 minutes behind, even if I am the first customer. My time and money are valuable. There should not be such big discrepancies in the prices. With all the nail salons in the area, sadly, I will be looking for a new one. read more

I wanted to gift my wife, a manicure,and pedicure combo, and relaxation Sunday afternoon, but some of the local nail salons left us a little underwhelmed in the past. We had seen this salon next to our favorite optometrist, Dr Gore , I thought we'd give it a shot. my wife has had a lot of health issues and is not totally mobile. I walked in after work an hour before they closed and they were still willing to take me. I ended up making them leave 30 min after their close time. I got my nails done by David and he was SO meticulous and patient while doing my nails. I have been to many nail salons, including Korean ones, and he is the ONLY person who made my nails on both hands EVEN and the only person who made the shape of my nails EXACTLY how I wanted them to be (and I didn't even have to tell him to make them even). I went on a Friday night. They were very nice and patient. Kathy was very kind and shaped my nails nicely. The problem was when I left there was a little orange tinge. A couple days later my nails started turning brown. I went back next Friday to get the topcoat redone because that's what I thought what the problem was. Turns out it was actually the dip powder that was turning brown. Kathy then insisted I get a white top coat to cover the brown spots. Later that day the polish immediately started to peel off and now the dip powder is chipping as well ! I am very dissatisfied and am embarrassed when people look at my nails. read more

First time was a good experience. Took me same day. Clean relaxing place. 2nd, she was late, fine no biggie, life happens. Pedicure was nice, texting a lot. Find out product I asked for originally was not used. Now I need to transition into what I asked for on my nails. Gave me a bit of " you said". I never get acrylic! It is gel or powder only! and only powder that you soak off each appt. Since around 2017. I showed a picture of what I wanted. I did not want to argue with someone so got what I got gave a good tip, bye! She burned my cuticle, and shape was what I had not what was in the photo. 2 hours I learned my lesson. I gave more than I got. Not acceptable nail work this time. Whew, onward! Two days after finger is still red and tender even with Neosporin. Not only is it the cheapest within Haymarket and the Gainesville area, they have a technician in there that does amazing designs and artwork! I took my daughter in there to get her second full sets she's ever had and she was so happy! I was pleasantly surprised how they were so Nice when it came to my OCD!! I have been here 3 times hoping maybe it was a bad day the first time! But this was the worst experience! I'm in the beauty Service industry and I know how it goes. At first glance, its an average nail shop. I wasn't expecting much but I left surprised and fabulous. Shout out to Harry and Tammy! Fabulous Care They were clean, organized, the decor wasn't the usual cheap early 90s nail poster. I showed them a picture and wanted a few changes. Ended beautifully. Tammy is one of the BEST nails I've ever had. I've been getting my nails done for over 16 years and she is impressed me very much. She is so diligent, careful, precise, and works quick. I didn't have to asked her for anything or point out anything that needed fixing because she did a wonderful job. She is so sweet and professional. *Please note that I am giving this business 5 stars only because of the nail technician Sue* I have been going to Angelic Nails in Haymarket on and off since 2011, but consistently since 2012 when I had the nail technician Sue for the first time. Before Sue, I tried many other technicians there but was not particularly impressed so I would not stick to Angelic nails as my go-to place. Ever since Sue, I go there for every manicure (and pedicure) unless I am out of town, can't get an appointment, or some other similar scenario. I currently get gel manicures every couple of weeks, and with Sue they always last more than two weeks! Not only do they last but they look great. I especially love her french gel manicures because she uses a technique for the white tips which I really love: she paints two generous coats of white on the tips, drying in between, and then goes in with a brush dipped in acetone to create the shape. This results in a clean white tip every time, that (most importantly) lasts! I cannot stand when I get french gel manicures and the technicians use the actual nail polish bottle brush to paint the white tips- this is so messy in my opinion looks crappy. Every gel manicure (french or not) or even pedicure from Sue always looks great, and lasts so long. I have never found someone as good as Sue for my nails, and am always disappointed with my manicures if I end up having to go somewhere else. It is so nice to have someone you can go to and know that you are getting great, consistent service, and an awesome lasting manicure! My only regret about posting this is that now it may be harder for me to get an appointment! :) As for the salon itself, nothing special. Just a routine strip-mall nail salon with no bells or whistles. Oh and I believe the gel manicure is $30-$35. As I mentioned, I go there specifically for Sue! read more

Went today post-covid. The place is spotless they have plexiglass up everywhere, they have everyone sign in that they are well and answer questions on a sheet that u sign and they take your temperature. I felt very comfortable and that my health and safety were placed in the highest regard. Plus that pedicure manicure and eyebrow wax after three months in quarantine...Priceless :-). New management! They also remodeled the whole place and it's been quite zen. Everyone is adamant about cleanliness (masks+gloves+barricade) and has COVID19 safe certificates. Been here multiple times, people are very straightforward. I can literally go search some references through pinterest or instagram that I like and they will tell me it's possible. My nail tech asked me every step of the way to see how I wanted my nails (color, designs, shape, length, etc). Every step is quite meticulous. I just left this place and it was downright horrible, I dont know his name but the man that did my nails was very rough and hurt me he was manhandling me! Shoving and grabbing. Also he mangled my cuticles, tore them up until I bled even though I would pull away and tell him he was hurting me...my teo daughter also got mani/ pedis and both of there results were horrible like they were painted by a toddler!!! I liked this place a lot. I went in for an eyebrow and upper lip wax. The lady was nice and did a really good job. She didnt just put on the wax on, then the strips, then rip off. She took time and made sure ny eyebrows looked right. She rubbed the waxed areas with a soothing oil and tweezed the eyebrows a little where needed. For eyebrow and lip wax it came to $16, and I tipped her $4, so I got both for $20 which is a little better than another place I used to go to in fair oaks mall. I came here only for removal of acrylic nails and a manicure. I usually don't do fake nails, but I had a photo shoot and needed my nails done. My real nails have been chewed up since I have been doing a lot of remodeling of the house and yard work. The lady was very nice and friendly. She did a superb job with nail removal especially since the acrylic nails were about 10-12 days old! I hate fake nails and they drive me crazy with how they feel. LOL The price of beauty!!! My manicure was great and the cost was cheap. I paid about $20 for nail removal and a manicure which was super cheap I thought. The place looked alright, but I prefer a more posh atmosphere personally. They were very busy and I walked right in and got serviced. Definitely a lot of nail techs which is not a norm around the area. Not sure if I will try pedi there, but might if I feel like taking a chance. Worse place every, they give you one price of $38 for a full set, and when you get to them, they charge $45. They also said $45 only for short nails, and if you want them long it cost more. My daughter and her friend went in to get a full set and TWO HOURS later they were finished. Neither one got what they wanted - even after showing pictures. One was done ok, but not to specs.
