Don't go to this restaurant we went with our family party of sixteen from the minute we walked in the door the host was giving us excuses on how are food was going to take long because we were a big group. Well it did but our server said it was because she had a problem with her other table and they were first , and nobody told her she would have to help with our table. After a late workout nothing was open in Lompoc but Applebee's. I was hesitant but ended up enjoying a steak salad. The server was nice and explained the steak was only 4 oz when I ordered. She let me upgrade the steaks size. The food wasn't fancy, but it was good-like a high end Chipotle salad with steak that looked like steak. The restaurant was clean, the waitress was friendly, and I wouldn't hesitate to come again for a late dinner salad. Four stars for the price. Too bad that this place has not changed for the better. Been there many times but the food never gets better. I have heard that everything comes precooked in a bag that they just reheat. As locals in Lompoc, it's a real bummer that we have had problems with this Applebee's in the past, considering how small our town is, we don't have very many options. We kinda ended up here again on accident, and I'm glad. Gigi was such a nice and accommodating server, we were really impressed with her helpful attitude. And the food was much better than our previous visits. Something changed, maybe management? Hopefully it sticks. Hi, This was a disaster. I've been here before and it's always been very uneven food quality. Sometimes good and other time not so good. However today was a disaster. I send out the food twice and my wife did not eat her salad. The funny thing was the manager came around and he told me that he would teach the cooks how to cook after the shift was done... Just had dinner. Oh My Gosh! Our food was so late coming out of the kitchen, the table beside us had their apps and began their main course before we got our apps. On the 2 for twenty menu, we requested side salads as our apps. the salads were tiny! When my sister-in-law's coffee came, we had to send it back...the coffee cup had lipstick on it. Went on a Tuesday night around 5:30pm. We got seated right away and received menus, and the waitress took our drink order. Got the drinks about 10 minutes later, then took our food orders. Waited about 40 minutes before we saw our first plate of food, which was an appetizer. When I got my entree (chicken strip basket) there were about 14 french fries in the basket along with 5 tiny chicken strips. My grandmother ordered the fish and chip basket, and hers was overflowing with fries. Hers were also fresh, still hot and crispy. Mine were soggy and definitely had evidence of being under a heat lamp. Service was OK. Food was garbage, even for an Applebee's. My toddler didn't touch her food, and she lives for mac and cheese, so something wrong there. I don't think I'll be back. They have some cute waitresses but otherwise this place is a disappointment. If you want Applebee's, drive to Santa Maria. WAYYY Better service and food there! read more

We had to ask for refills, food was cold, and mostly the server stood at the back waiters station talking to the other crew members. Got to the restaurant, it was hardly anyone there, mentioning this because 30 minutes to even get a drink order, the waitress got to the people who came in after us, and apologized saying "sorry it took so long, suddenly we got sooo busy?" I ordered all you can eat shrimp, that took forever to get. Then she say her husband and kids across from us....that was sweet but, their food took a shorter time and looked way more than what we had! This was our First time since they opened 2 months ago. Not super impressed for my first visit. The decor is nice and the restaurant is nice, new and clean. The restaurant was full when we arrived and we were told it would be a 20 minute wait, not a problem at all. We told the hostess our name and told her we would wait in the bar. My boyfriend asked, "do you have a loud speaker?" And we were told, "no, we go through the bar when calling a name." We sat at the bar 5 mins.before being approached. I ordered my drink and my bf ordered a Coors Light. The bartender walked away and then came back and she asked my bf again, "what kind of beer did you order again?" After about 45 mins. The male bartender came up and asked if we would be eating in the bar tonight, which we replied that we've been waiting for a table. He asked for our name and said he would go check. He came back stating they had called our name and no one responded. I told him we had told the waitress we would be in the bar. I suggested to him that they need to note when a patron would be in the bar when told to avoid this in the future. We were sat right away after the mix up. We were sat at table 60. As you enter the bar it's the last table on the right, right in front of the server station... Going to give you little short opinions of the rest of the visit as this is getting lengthy. Waitress had to come back and ask my bf what beer he had ordered again. People in server station were unprofessional and it seemed like a social gathering. One waitress was getting off and stood right in front of our table saying goodbye and chit chatting with people in the server station. I was done with my food and the waitress took my plate then tried to take my bf's plate and he had to tell her he wasn't done yet. When she dropped the check, she said "here ya go", that's it. Overall the food was good but the service and staff was very unprofessional. I've been in this business for over 25 yrs. and I'm pretty easygoing, but I almost feel compelled to write Corporate a letter concerning our visit and feel they need more training in service and professionalism. I'm a fair person, and I'll go back again and give them another try and hopefully it'll be a MUCH better experience. If not, they won't get my business again. read more

I have been there three times, each time at the bar for food and drinks. Each time my order was either incorrect, missing something, or my glass was empty long enough that by the time she paid attention I was over it. One bartender in particular has given off the "I'm annoyed and really don't care" vibe. This is not true of all the bartenders, but I seem to get stuck with the same one each time. The food is ok. Service could use some attention. All I can say is if you order a side of ranch, that will take a while...for some reason that is really hard to do. read more

My husband and I decided to give Applebee's another chance since they're the only restaurant in Lompoc open past 9PM. We had a late dinner here on Saturday. It was relatively busy; however our server was very quick on her feet and was always at our table when we needed her (never had to use the tablet to call her over). Where do i begin?! Applebees; a well known food chain just seems to be going down hill in lompoc. I arrive to dinner with my family and notice no staff out in the dining area, it takes someone 5 minutes to greet us and take us to our table. I also notice 6 dirty tables that the staff just walk by and seem to "not notice". We wait thirty minutes if not more to receive our appetizers, which was within a short time interval to receive our main dish. To top it off the food is just flavorless. Some of the servers seem to still be learning the trade and can be a little slow at times. I've been here a few times with friends and when it gets busy it appears that the staff let themselves feel overwhelmed. Customer service sucked! They all need to be retrained!! All they did was talk to each other and not to the people who will be paying them! We had to wait five minuets to be helped once we were helped it took a while for our drinks to come out. When we finally ordered our food, for some reason the server forgot how to take a order and just started writing stuff down or something. Our food came out wrong. Once our food did come to us they never came back to see how we were doing, or filled our drinks. So we sat with empty glasses. When we asked for a to go box he brought out the smallest box they had. When he knew my husband still had most of his food on his plate. When we asked for a bigger box he was unsure if he could even get us the bigger to go box. We will definitely not be coming back. Tonight was not a good night to go out to eat. The service is usually really good at Applebee's but tonight was a flop. The waitress was just out of it and rarely came to check on us. Our food took nearly 30 minutes to come out and it was wrong. My steak was over cooked and tough, Chris' food was overcooked and he and Joselyn both asked for loaded baked potatoes and only got a little bit of butter and sour cream, not even enough to make it tasty. Plus we didn't even get any silverware until I asked for some. We weren't asked for refills on our drinks, I had to flag down another waitress to just get some water. And they took so long with our desert that all three of the kids fell asleep. And the manager was being kind of rude to his staff right in front of us. At least the desert was yummy. read more

Applebees is finally getting their stuff together with the new store in Lompoc. Love too much stuff on the menu to list. But if you like burgers and bleu cheese they have an awesome burger worth trying. Steaks are good, even the kids steak my son and nephew love them as well as the sliders and pizza. Full bar is nice too... Staff are friendly and take care of you pretty good especially for being such a busy place. Try the large mud slide for dessert, HUGE and delicious! read more

I live just a block away from this New Applebee's so I had to come try it out when they opened. I came like a week or two after it opened hoping it would calm down a little bit. It didn't. Me and my wife went to dinner at our local Applebee's and we had an experience we never had. Our server never came to serve us after we were seated the busboy took our drink order and our food order. Then thus girl showed up with our food 15 minutes later but never returned to offer us to freshen up our drinks. We noticed 2 couples came in were seated and left after not getting any service after 10 minute wait. I didn't get a name of our server but I did of the young man that took our order his name was Beau. Very kind and understanding this young man should be taking over our slooooooow waitress. Worst service I have had at any restaurant in Lompoc and on the entire West Coast. Myself and my wife took my Mom and Dad out to dinner tonight for their 54th anniversary. 1. I told the waitress 3 times it was my Mom and Dad's 54th anniversary and no one said happy anniversary, no complimentary ice cream or anything. Two separate tables near us had Happy Birthday sang to them. 2. The waitress told me the chicken breast was moist and very tender so I took her suggestion and ordered it. the chicken was charred on one side and dry. 3. The side dishes on my Wife and my Mom's plates were switched so they had to take the plates back and correct it. My Dad's french fries were cold and they had to bring him another order. 4. Our table was not cleared before we left. Nothing was cleared off the table while we ate. 5. They did not carry brandy for my Dad so he Had one Cognac for 10.50 and my mom had one glass of white wine for over almost 9 bucks get outta here at Applebee's are you serious. 6. The restaurant was not busy and it took 1 1/2 hours from the time we were seated until we finished eating because the service was very slow. Management should be ashamed of their selves. Thanks for making my parents 54th anniversary an experience they will never forget. Next time I want to share a special dinner with my family I will take my business to another restaurant. read more

This place is dirty. I came to eat and it not only took 20 mins for me to be seated, but it took an hour and a half for me to get my food and it was cold and not even cooked fully. My family and I were there for lunch yesterday and the service was great. Food was fine, though the portions were pretty small for what you pay. Why didn't I rate this more stars? Because there's a major safety hazard that needs to be addressed. My father almost fell because no place near the door has a curb height or sidewalk ramp for those with mobility issues. Thank God I was right there and could catch him. Management needs to fix those curbs near the door. It's reasonable to expect that there is a safe way nearest the entrance to get to the restaurant. read more

I took the fam to Applebee's in Lompoc, after receiving the bill I paid with my card and left an $8 cash tip. After receiving my bank statement today I noticed the payment was $10 more then the bill. So I went there and spoke to the manger, she told me there WAS a $10 tip added. The manage said they will refund my money and the waitress will be fired. Gee, Thanks. Now its bad food, bad service. Server came out 10 minutes later to take the drinks and by then we had ordered our food on the tablet. 5 minutes later, another person comes out with drinks and 5 minutes after that, the hostess comes out with half our order, we remind her that were missing food and 5 minutes later(literally) another person comes back with the second half of our order-cold- starving, we eat it. Then we order dessert on the tablet because no one came to check on us, (4 brownie bites) they come out 10 minutes later completely melted and the hostess looks down emberassed saying we can remake these if you want. When we say yes, we watch her go tell the female manager that she needed to reorder them, she rolled her eys(the manager) walked over and just ordered new ones and walked away. We got our brownie bites 5 minutes later, only half melted this time. When we got the bill I was not surprised to see the brownie bites still on there. Sucks Lompoc doesn't have many things open late night, leaving our choices to fast food, pizza, or applebee's. read more
