Fun place! We absolutely LOVED our bartender Trisha! She greeted us with a huge smile and was super attentive throughout our meal! You can tell she's very loved as every single patron wanted to chat with her. She definitely knows how to talk and work at the same time. She was busy! We grubbed down on some tater tot's, sweet potato fries, a small salad along with virgin micheladas. It was all so yummy with huge portions and very reasonable. I ordered the Steakhouse Burger togo. It was so delicious, a mix of savory and a little tangy it was a great balance. We waited about 10 mins for our food and the bartender was really sweet. Next time we will eat there as the bar and restaurant seemed really nice! We would have eaten outside but they were doing some maintenance to the patio. Visiting a friend in town, decided to hit the bar to talk / eat / drink. Sat at the bar with a friend on the night of May 3rd and waited to be acknowledged for 20 minutes before leaving. The lady behind the bar seemed unbothered to check up on us, and there was a whole 8-ish people sitting at the bar. She just talked to other ppl and cleaned a glass or two in that entire 20 mins while avoiding eye contact. Walked passed us MANY times. One random person was able to walk up and get a shot immediately, TWICE, while we just sat there, staring at her, waiting for her to look at us so we could ask for something. Only tried to do her job when we got up and were literally walking out. Typical Lompoc business lol. read more

I used to be a longtime mailman for this company and come here to grab a beer their Pacifico wasn't working but the girl kept on filling up two big pitchers with foam and the Pacifico wasn't pouring right and she served me the beer which tasted like flat beer and she had an attitude when I told her it didn't taste right read more

Nice bar and grill with plenty of natural lighting and with some really good food. Ventured here with some friends as they have two pool tables that have recently been re-felted. They play nice and there is plenty of room indoors and they also have an outdoor patio. I've tried the sandwiches and the burgers with both being really good. The staff here are awesome and we've never had a complaint with the food, or service. I moved here a few months ago. I soon found this place and I was excited because I thought I found my new spot. A couple visits later I came on a Saturday and drank more than I ate. Thankfully Christian took my keys. Or so I thought. Fast forward a few months and my friend cones to visit. We met at my last hometown bar. I brought her to Johnnies. Christian was working. Cool, I thought. But no. When it was time to order he pointed out how "wasted" I was the last time I came thru because apparently I was dancing while I payed my bill. Wait. Is that an asshole move? To dance? So I laughed and ordered our drinks even though I was embarassed. THEN Christian brings out our drinks and brings it up AGAIN, mentioning how I should be embarassed. Well, my friend's drink was wrong, she asked for a whisky ginger and got a whisky tonic with a splash of coke. Yuck. Plus, I reached for my phone and knocked over my drink. Not wanting the expected ridicule, we left. I went inside to pay and Christian said out loud "Leaving out of embarassment?" I wasn't, but I am now. I'm embarassed for you. Anyway. If you want a place to feel welcome. This isn't it. Especially if you like the music while your card is being run. I'm a good tipper, too. read more

This place was very deceiving when I looked at it from the outside but once inside it wasn't bad at all. Between Lompoc and Santa Maria by far this town is on the higher end of the food chain. Nice ambient, friendly bartenders, offers a variety of beers, alcohol and pool tables. Yes the TV's would be nicer if they were bigger but regardless they do have more then a few up on the walls. Unfortunately, Sara, the pretend bartender is only out for tips! She doesn't care about customer service or anything else except making money. Drinks and food prices vary with her. Not cool! Management really needs to take a look a cameras and talk to customers, maybe not regulars that get perks . . .!! On the other hand, there are really good people that at least try to make good drinks and give good customer service, whether your a regular or not so regular. Those should be praised. read more

Johnnys bar .....hmmm what can i say if your a local and frequent the place i suppose you either live close by or just dont care..To many bosses and not enofe caring help..i have a certified service dog was told i had to leave because they serve food i showed them her card and they still refused service that had been the 2nd time my friend lives in lompoc and goes quite often so the 1st time i went to go have lunch with him and they refused service i just told my friend lets just go didnt want to make a issue out of it but my friend told me they had contacted him a d apologised for the mistake and saud my service dog was welcome anytime so again i went with my friend and they refused service... they seem to think they can make up the rules as fitted for that day or time. I am currently with counsel to maje sure they never refuse service to a disabled person with a service dog read more

I've lived in Lompoc a little over a year, drove past this place multiple times a day on my way to and from work. Always thought it was just a dive bar didn't really think much of the signs mentioning food on the windows. One day at work my coworkers and I were talking about good spots to eat in town and someone mentioned Johnny's. Said that had really good burgers and it's worth checking out. I mentioned it to my fiancé one day and so yesterday we went to check it out for lunch. He got the bacon burger and that thing was huuuuuge, a 1/2 pound patty, the bun was great quality, French fries were awesome. I got the appetizer sampler because I was curious about the "bar grub." It included 2 burger sliders with cheese, onion, 1000island. Fried cheese curds, fried green beans, wings, and jalapeño poppers. Honestly it was a huge portion, more than I was expecting so even though we shared everything we didn't come close to finishing the app. I love fried cheese curds so I ate a ton of those, my fiancé is the jalapeño fiend so he polished those off. Neither of us are huge fans of fried green beans but they were on par with every other time I've had them. Nice and crunchy on the outside. The wings however were horrible. They were super dry, hard, no sauce. We each tried a bite of one and left them alone. Next time I think I'll get myself a burger though or try a sandwich. And just add the cheese curds as an app. If you're looking for a good ass burger that's not super overpriced, this is a great spot. Just know it's not some upscale restaurant, it's in a bar, with people drinking. We will definitely go back sometime and once my pregnancy is over we will probably go have some drinks as well. read more

While we arrived too late for lunch at Johnny's, our bartender suggested that we order Mexican for take-out from Tortillleria La Reyna across the street to bring in. What a great idea! The services from the bar is a bit slow at times, the food and drink selection are great, they might have a new cook which is making the dishes more presentable and tastier. The place is kind of ok. I didn't feel safe being there. There seem to always be some sort of bar scene drama going on there. The entrance seemed to be roamed by many regular boys/men for no reasons. Food was ok. Tacos was cheap, but it was just ok. Drinks was good for happy hours. Good place for games and bar games. Services was alright. I was hoping to find this place interesting and fun like some far and dingy bars. But that's all it is. Would I come here again. Maybe if there's was a special event that was held by a friend or a group. I wouldn't make there again by myself. read more

Was told they had great hamburgers and decided to stop in while passing through lompoc. I was very disappointed with the staff!Seems that there was an issue with a customer order. The waitress had poor customer service while handling the situation. She created a mess of drama without even realizing she was making it uncomfortable for other customers. One of my favorite watering holes in town. Staff all know me by name and I'm always greeted with a smile. The food is great and the portions are good.
