I love Jimmy's, I always stop by whenever I go to Ojai. They are open all day, and don't require reservations so it's nice and laid back. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service can be slow at times, but the servers are very nice and friendly

We were staying on the property and after trying the brunch, this was super close (literally next door)! Food Fennel sausage: we ordered the fennel sausage which is white sauce pizza. Hamburger and fries: The burger was really good and the skinny fries? So good with ranch. Recommend. Margherita pizza was delicious. Get this. Maybe add sausage for added protein. Ice cream cookie dessert: Love the ice cream on the warm cookie dessert. Salsa and guacamole chips: Delightfully crispy and flaky. Amazing to sit outside overlooking the golf course. We enjoyed this more than The Oak. The service was also casual and friendly.

Jimmy's Pub Smash Burger

Had a Jimmy's Pub Smash Burger with fries. This is the first time I have had a smash burger and it did not disappoint. The burger parties were done with a nice crispness to them. The staff was attentive and the evening temperature was just right.

Old Fashioned and Lemon Lavender

Promptly seated by host who seemed genuinely pleased we stopped in. Our server was polite but insincere. Beautiful patio area overlooking the golf course. We started with cocktails. The lemon lavender was refreshing and my old fashioned was very good. Decided to split a pepperoni pizza which was quite good. And it wasn't swimming in oil like so many are when pepperoni is the protein. Was it worth fighting to find a parking place? Probably not. There are friendlier options in Ojai. Cheers!

We came here in a big college football game day and it was busy but we got right in at 12:30. We had to wait a decent amount of time in between meeting our server to ordering our food which was disappointing, but we could semi enjoy the football game in the mean time on the tvs inside. It's also very dark in the corner we sat in which isn't my style and it was hard to see the colors in the food. I got the grilled chicken wrap which was filled with dryish chicken chunks, yummy cheese, watery pesto, some greens and lots of onions. The best part was the pita wrap it came in, but it was mildly cold instead of warm like it's meant to be. I think my food was waiting on the pizzas we ordered. The side salad was topped with raw onions which I'm not a fan of, and it seems they love to use onions on everything here. The pizzas were fresh and tastey. The perfect crispy and soft crust; and in good amount. They pile on the pepperoni for the pizza and had a good amount of sausage on the sausage and fennel pizza. We also got an Italian chopped salad which was drenched in dressing and had a few chickpeas sprinkled without, I have to say it did not look appetizing at all.

Another year later and I finally made it back to the Ojai Valley Inn. My friends and I chose Jimmy's Pub again specifically for their Italian Chopped. My friend has been dreaming of this salad since last year when we visited. The balance of flavors and the light oregano dressing makes this one killer. It's hard to find a good chopped salad! The service is always amazing and the view is just spectacular if you can sit outside. We were there a few hours and Joe was our server. So awesome! Shout out to Joe! This Jean jacket crew loved our time there yesterday. I really love their menu and execution. The Ojai Valley Inn is truly a gem I need to visit more often.

Really loved this restaurant during our stay at the Oahu Valley Inn. Ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, fish's tacos, and smash burger. Everything was excellent including their top notch staff. We had our dog with us, and they accommodated us in their patio area and provided a lap blanket. Liked it so much we returned the next day for the margarita pizza in the bar area to watch the Rams game.

Fennel sausage pizza

Although this place is on campus for Ojai Valley Inn, I think it's reasonably priced and does a great job with staff and food. Also, sitting outside by the golf course is a must if you've never done it. I love the fennel sausage pizza, but the fish tacos, wagu tacos, and burger are also really good. The views are great of the mountains, but it gets cold in the evening.

Soba noodles with salmon, white sausage pizza with jalapeños and sage.

Had dinner here last weekend. Emmy is the man! Gave us plenty of personal recommendations that included some substitutes on his end and he was so attentive and kind. Must get the pub chips if you like potato chips. Such crack those chips are! We got the sausage pizza on white with the added jalapeños and sage per Emmy's recommendation. Very tasty. Also got the soba noodles. The view was perfect. We really enjoyed it all and have extras for later! Oh yeah get the pixie margarita spicy if you like margaritas. It's delicious!

Wings

We went to Jimmy's this afternoon. Tip notch experience. Great service, food, and atmosphere. Started with the ahi poke. So fresh and the plantains were great and plentiful. Then we had the smashburger and wings. Burger was phenomenal and so flavorful. Fries great also. Wings were some of the best I've ever had. Super crispy. Definite must try when in Ojai.

Jimmy's is the most informal dine-in location on the resort. It's called a pub but sort of a restaurant too; not high end enough food to be considered a gastropub. Burger - below average. American cheese and no other choices. No tomato which is weird to me. Fries were stringy and wish they had been cooked a bit more. Asked for medium and it was over cooked Fish tacos - better than I expected. Generous portion of fish. The aioli has a good kick to it. The slaw was really just shredded cabbage. Would eat it again. Little gem Caesar - generous amount of lettuce. Garlic dressing was tasty. Skip the croutons. You can add steak, chicken, or salmon but we convinced them to add shrimp. Decent selection of beers including Black Butte which was an unexpected porter. Full bar so they can make almost any drink. Waitstaff was very nice and attentive without being intrusive.

Wangs ($17) meaty, but pricey AF
Joe P.

After a round of golf at Ojai Valley Inn (with no lunch in between), we were ready for some heavy apps. Jimmy's is the onsite watering hole at the resort. We had wangz, loaded fries, and a pepperoni pizza. First of all, the wangz were meaty and tangy. We didn't mind the high price bc we knew wing prices are going through the roof (plus we were captive at resort). Secondarily, the portion of fries was huge, and there were a ton of toppings (think nacho fries). The fries were crispy down to the last bite. Lastly, the pizza had a lot of pepperoni. Yes, it was pricey, but we didn't scoff at the resort price. The crust had a nice char also. The main reason we didn't blink at the resort prices, was the excellent service from Matilda. She was friendly & attentive. As opposed to our breakfast experience at The Oak (the all day restaurant at the resort), we received requests on a timely basis. The ambiance outdoors was nice, and properly spaced. The next time I return to golf, I would have no problem coming back to Jimmy's. The food & drink selection is wide, and the service from Matilda is outstanding.

Starting to fill up at noon but still plenty of second tier seats. Lots of good beers on tap, freshly made iced tea. Ample, happy, friendly wait staff-empty plates cleared within seconds! We shared the fish tacos and beet salad (now available at lunch-not just dinner as noted by another yelper). The fish tacos (3 good sized) were delicious-with a nice big piece of grilled fish-moist, just the right spice. The beet salad was impressive--someone in the kitchen really takes pride in this dish--lots of beets-2 types, arugula, pistachios and beautiful fresh fruit--I'm generally not a big salad guy but this one could convert me! Prices are very good. We will be back.

Upon arrival, the staff seemed a bit frazzled. The menu changed a few times, which made things a little confusing, but the two women helping us were very kind and did their best, they just didn't seem fully prepared for a group our size. We kept our orders simple, and surprisingly, the food came out extremely fast... before the coffee even arrived. Overall though, the food was good. I had the avocado toast, which was really tasty, and everyone in the group seemed to enjoy what they ordered. The real standout here is the setting, the golf course and surrounding grounds are absolutely beautiful and make for a really nice atmosphere. Overall, a solid spot for smaller groups or a casual outing, but larger parties might be a bit of a challenge for them.

The brewery is super cute and cozy, with wood/black accents and a boutique shop in the corner featuring local artists. There is plenty of places to sit inside or outside or at the bar. The bartender helped me pick a beer, and it was happy hour, so I only spent $5 on my 16oz pour :) We shared the Krupuk and pickle plate. Krupuk = airy tapioca chips, melt-in-your-mouth or crispy, with two flavorful sauces. It was a pretty large bowl so great for sharing. The pickle plate was lovely, 4 types of pickled vegetables (cucumbers, red/white onions, and bell peppers) which went great with the krupuk. Great place to pass the time!

Everything tasted great, though I'd probably ordered the cider again. We also ordered food from Sama Sama, a serving of their Wagyu Beef Sando and Chicken Sando. Wait time was roughly 10 minutes and was surprisingly served with a side of prawn crackers. I kept thinking that the wagyu was incredibly easy to eat and was done before I knew. Portion-wise it's a bit on the small side, but it had great flavor. All in all, a good place to past the time.

We are rarely in the area, but since we had some errands to take care of that led us to be in the nearby, and we didn't know what to eat, then my wife said how about some fish and chips from a different place, then it hit me that I had this place bookmarked and saved for some time now, and now was the perfect time. We came there and parked in the public parking building that was free. We came inside and there was a party of two in front of us waiting. The waiter, seemed to be the only one, came by and said hi to everyone and his thanks for our patience and wait. He later came by and took them to their seats. They requested outside, and the took them. We waited a few more minutes, then it was our turn and he was ready to lead us to our seats, but we asked for outside as well. He asked us to give him a few minutes to clean up a table for us. After so, he sat us and gave us menus. The service is good, considering he is the only one, but he moves about pretty quickly and still giving everyone his all. The table was pretty nasty. It was sticky. But we wiped it down and proceeded onto our night. We ended up ordering the two piece fish and chips and their pub burger with no cheese as my wife is lactose intolerant. People really need to realize that smoking is smoking, it does not mean that vaping is ok. Respect others by keep that to yourself, especially in a restaurant. The food came out pretty fast, and very hot and fresh. One of the fish was perfect and crispy, the second pieces was lacking. It was soggy and not fried long enough. The fish itself was great. It had a nice texture, firmness, and lightly salted. The batter was bland and could use some salt. However, eating it with the tartar sauce was amazing. The tartar sauce is perfection. Definitely a good fish and chips combo when consuming with the tartar. The steak fries were perfect. The burger was completely lacking. I thought it should be sent back. The idea was ok, but the execution was wrong. The burger was overcooked, way too overcooked. If it was cooked correctly, it would have been a great burger. The onion rings are great though. Great flavor, great batter, good frying. Overall, the waiter made the experience good because he was on top of it. The food was ok, as there are things that would make it better. But if you have never been here, definitely come try it. Remember, the atmosphere is still a pub, not a family type restaurant, but is ok for a family to come here as well.

I liked how comfortable everything felt, and I appreciated that I could enjoy my time without feeling pressured or hurried. I noticed a lot of teenagers at this location, which made sense because the place has a fun, friendly vibe that younger people would enjoy a lot. Seeing them there made me realize how much teenagers would love spending time at The Perch, especially since it gives them a spot where they can eat good food, talk, laugh, and feel like they belong. Even though this restaurant was new to me, I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and settled in. I've only visited The Perch one time in my life before writing this review, but that one visit was enough for me to understand why people speak so positively about it. It's one of the most comfortable and enjoyable restaurants I've been to in a while, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a place to enjoy good food, spend time with friends, and feel part of a lively environment.
