Swoooooooooon. Love staying at Ojai Rancho Inn and this little bar is a big reason why. I mean "little" quite literally--it's tiny in . Never fear though, as you are welcome to hang in their cool back area with a pool, fire pit, hammocks, basically all the vacation-y things. The bartenders are really laid back and friendly--props to the bartender who even went out of his way to make sure the campfire didn't go out as we were hanging out with our drinks. Chief's Peak has a fun list of beer, wine, and soju + shrub cocktails. Really enjoyed one of their funky rosés and a soju cocktail on my last visit. They don't really have food--I think some fancy chocolate bars and potato chips--but we brought some snacks from our room to eat by the fire and they didn't mind a bit. This place is open to for hotel guests as well as the public--we learned the ceramic cups on the wall belong to Ojai locals, which is rad! Aside from wine bars it seems like Ojai gets pretty sleepy at night, so definitely put this on your list for a night cap next time you're in town.

Hipster vibes all around. It's to be expected and what made me enjoy Chief's Peak even more. From the minimalist aesthetic on the bartenders to the random dog wandering around the bar, this was my favorite part about my Ojai day trip. Most of the drinks are Soju based and wasn't really wowed by any of the ones I tried. Still good nonetheless. Make sure you stop by if you're around the Ojai area and remember that they open at 4pm!

Friendly staff and cozy vibe. It's tiny and intimate, just what we were looking for during a winter night.

Great vibes and good beers. The best part of all, however, is the bartenders. Very friendly, warm, and welcoming.

They have two great options. They have a four choice wine tasting, which allows you to choose any 4 from the current list of 8. Or, you can indulge in the full monty which is where you get tastings of all wine currently on the menu. They are both very good values when comparing wine tasting rooms. The air conditioning was on, and we were happy. The music, the wine, the vibes and there was a wonderful employee working that day (I'm sorry, it's only been 24 hours and I cannot remember his name) Anyway, the whole experience was great. I would definitely return again.

Great local artwork all around the tasting room and a fun painted upright piano. Our tasting host was very friendly and provided short tid bits of information of each wine. My husband did the $19 four wine pour tasting and I did the $36 Full Monte pouring of their entire eight wine tasting. I enjoyed my first Grüner Veltliner white wine, 2024 Grunay (a hint of sweetness yet still crisp to the tongue and a light body). I also enjoyed their Tempranillo red wine, 2023 Taransay (well balanced medium body, slightly on the drier side but not too much, and had some nice tannins), this is the full glass I ordered after the tasting. I was not a fan of the 2021 Soay (Red Blend of 70% Granache, 15% Petit Verdot and 15% Petit Syrah) - I really wanted to like it as I typically like this blend, however there was a strange aftertaste that reminded me of water that was rinsed in dried rice. From 4PM - 6PM on Saturdays and Sundays, there is a local musician. Today was a singer-songwriter who played both acoustic and electric guitar and was accompanied by a lovely bass guitar player. They performed a few lighter versions of rock music and a handful of originals. Overall, great value and good music.

He's an Ojai local with a kind calming demeanor. He spun some vinyl, gave us some tips about Ojai, and poured our wine. I loved how he gave us alone time to sit with each other and really taste the wine instead of talking over every sip and trying to sell us what to think. I like white wine, but I cannot drink it because it always makes me slightly nauseous, but Josh assured me that this white wine would not do that. I could tell the minute I smelled it that I was going to be fine. Instead of that stainless steel I smell in white wines, I could smell fruits and florals. I've had organic wines in the past, but this winery goes way beyond that. The Naturalist is a pure winery, and that is quite rare in California. I had a hard time choosing my favorites, so I joined the club and I figured they could pick which four they'd like to send me every season. Josh said It is a very flexible club, so we were quick to join. Joining is free, deferring shipments is an option, and changing the wine choice to also, however you wish. Can't wait for our first shipment!

The brewery is super cute and cozy, with wood/black accents and a boutique shop in the corner featuring local artists. There is plenty of places to sit inside or outside or at the bar. The bartender helped me pick a beer, and it was happy hour, so I only spent $5 on my 16oz pour :) We shared the Krupuk and pickle plate. Krupuk = airy tapioca chips, melt-in-your-mouth or crispy, with two flavorful sauces. It was a pretty large bowl so great for sharing. The pickle plate was lovely, 4 types of pickled vegetables (cucumbers, red/white onions, and bell peppers) which went great with the krupuk. Great place to pass the time!

Everything tasted great, though I'd probably ordered the cider again. We also ordered food from Sama Sama, a serving of their Wagyu Beef Sando and Chicken Sando. Wait time was roughly 10 minutes and was surprisingly served with a side of prawn crackers. I kept thinking that the wagyu was incredibly easy to eat and was done before I knew. Portion-wise it's a bit on the small side, but it had great flavor. All in all, a good place to past the time.
