The brewery is super cute and cozy, with wood/black accents and a boutique shop in the corner featuring local artists. There is plenty of places to sit inside or outside or at the bar. The bartender helped me pick a beer, and it was happy hour, so I only spent $5 on my 16oz pour :) We shared the Krupuk and pickle plate. Krupuk = airy tapioca chips, melt-in-your-mouth or crispy, with two flavorful sauces. It was a pretty large bowl so great for sharing. The pickle plate was lovely, 4 types of pickled vegetables (cucumbers, red/white onions, and bell peppers) which went great with the krupuk. Great place to pass the time!

Their selection of brews are pretty extensive, so we selected a couple of samplers. I got The Tux, a nitro milk stout, and a seasonal cider (something with Harvest in the name), while my friend got the Good Good and Light Hike. Everything tasted great, though I'd probably ordered the cider again. We also ordered food from Sama Sama, a serving of their Wagyu Beef Sando and Chicken Sando. Wait time was roughly 10 minutes and was surprisingly served with a side of prawn crackers. I kept thinking that the wagyu was incredibly easy to eat and was done before I knew. Portion-wise it's a bit on the small side, but it had great flavor. All in all, a good place to past the time.

Jeremy was super chill…read more I visit Oja Valley Brewery with my family and my little fur friend and it was definitely a hot day. Super dog friendly and they have a dog beds under the pool table. Our dog Goro was panting pretty hard and Jeremy offered us that we can try to wash him down in the sink which I was very touched as lot of places are not like this. When we walked in the live band was setting up to leave but very spacious place and they have a great selection of beers and wines. Jeremy said he makes beer and his wife makes wine there. He even had the TV set up for the World Cup game. We ended up sitting inside due to heat but outside was super cute spot to sit. They have firepits and plenty of seating areas. We tried Pixie and J.F.B. and opted in for the large beer. Definitely a pot that we will return if we ever go back to Ojai.

They took the time to answer questions and make recommendations, which made the experience even better. We tried the Spritz and the Accidental Belgium, and both were incredibly refreshing and full of flavor. The beers were well-crafted and perfect for a warm Ojai day. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and inviting--an ideal spot to unwind with friends or family. Great brews, exceptional service, and a laid-back vibe make Ojai Valley Brewery a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

Saw, the chef-owner, was raised in Burma with an Indian father and it seems as if he was blessed with an instinctive understanding of spice and flavor. His culinary journey includes 4 years at Tallula, (Mexican) in Santa Monica and today he's creating something uniquely his own in Ojai. Open-Fire BBQ with an artist's touch that makes even cornbread elevated. I promise- you'll be a fan too. The spiced compound butter with honey and flaked salt takes this dish over the top. I ordered the Smoked half chicken with lemongrass curry and rice. The meat was perfectly tender and smoked and complimented by the fabulous curry sauce. I wanted to lick the plate- it was that good. We shared the pulled pork with tamarind BBQ sauce and it too was a flavor bomb. The tamarind sauce was both Smokey, a tad spicy and just enough sweet to balance it. As sides we shared the beans and the garlic slaw. Each dish had its own garnish and flavor surprise in my mouth. Both were delicious. I can't say enough about the food other than -Do yourself a favor and eat at Joplin's. The setting is equally inviting with a charming outside patio with plenty of shade and Mountain Views. It's an ideal spot to linger over lunch. The indoor dining room is dark and dramatic with the bold rock-n-roll soundtrack playing in the background. The front of the restaurant is run by Saw's wife and you order before you're seated. They are gracious hosts and the service is good but remember- they are busy. Be patient and take your time to enjoy your flavor experience.
