First visit service was great and we got refills on our coffee promptly. 2nd time drip coffees took longer than our food to come out and no refills were offered. So, it took 9 months for my husband to agree to giving Highly Likely another chance. We are both glad that we did! They seem to have worked the kinks out. Service was quick and everyone working was quite friendly. I got the turkey sandwich which comes on this delicious, robust seeded bread. The prune mostarda added a nice sweetness to the sandwich. It came with a side of beets (I hate beets) which were so pickled that I actually really liked them! My husband got the bodega sandwich which was so flavorful! While I enjoy the Kale Salad in principle, the execution is very unreliable, making me second guess the choice to go to Highly Likely. It's as if the same ingredient list has been given to different kitchens but without further instruction. I've had it three times and the type of kale (Lacinato vs. curly), ratio of kale to other bases (cabbage and arugula), volume of crispy quinoa and dill (they should nix the latter altogether), adequacy of dressing coverage and amount of butternut squash are all highly variable and it's highly likely the meal won't live up to memory or expectation. It's a solid dish but I wish I could count on the ideal preparation, not a lesser facsimile. Consistency is difficult for a restaurant and this place should focus on it given how excellent they can be if reliable. read more

what a wonderful place in town! my mom and i decided on the Steak Frites & Seedy Schnitzel and it was absolutely delicious. Very very cute location. They have indoor and outdoor seating and both areas were so cute we couldn't decide where to sit! We were greeted immediately by every single staff member which was so nice. We just came in for a small bite and a little Matcha after driving over to Ojai before we have dinner plans. This was the perfect stop! I got the passionfruit Matcha, which was phenomenal. Matcha and passionfruit are both of my favorite flavors and they mix so well together neither was overwhelming or overpowering, I could taste both. We also got a regular iced Matcha latte, which was also delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy. The deviled eggs were really delicious. They had a nice little kick to them with what tasted like a Yuzu sauce that went so well with the spice! Theu are also connected to a store that was very cute too! So while we were waiting we got to look around which was fun! Great experience and will for sure be coming back to try more things and get another passion fruit matcha!! Decent food, but the service was SLOW, and the restaurant wasn't even full. There were multiple instances where the servers and bussers would take care of the table around us, but seemed to ignore our needs (serve water, take orders, etc.). When we first got seated, we weren't given water, and our order wasn't taken until 20 minutes in, after I CALLED over a waiter. I tried to wave down a waiter 10 and 15 minutes into our experience, but they would talk to the table next to us, then run away to the kitchen or the bar. I was wondering if this was on purpose or something, given how many opportunities they had to take our orders, fill our waters, and give us a candle, yet they treated us as invisible. Again, the tables around us got more attention, even the table next to us that needed cleaning got 3+ bussers (which doesn't even make sense? It should only take one person to clear the table, IT'S NOT A RELAY RACE). I saw another couple leave after getting their appetizers, so they also got the hint that the service was subpar. I don't usually write reviews or make a big fuss about restaurant service as a Gen Zer, but their service system needs to change because it shouldn't take 7+ people to (barely) run a restaurant floor at 70% capacity. I am disappointed as I booked this restaurant for Valentine's Day with high expectations. Definitely don't go here if you have plans after dinner, because you will not make it there in time. The food was okay (got the arugula artichoke dip, bolongese, half chicken), but the ambience really saves this place. If you walk along Ojai's main street, you will find 10+ restaurants with lovely ambience, so try those places instead. *Note: It seems like people on Yelp do get quick and friendly service sometimes, so maybe it depends on who is working that night.
