This was was our on restaurant list for Ojai and we finally got to try it out. The outdoor seating was nice and refreshing! I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap and Matcha Latte. The wrap was delicious, but the chicken was pretty dry. I couldn't finish the second half of my wrap because of that. The matcha was honestly more milk than matcha. I actually had to ask for a side of vanilla syrup to pour in, but ended up making it sweet than I'd like. Service was great! I loved the outdoor seating because the big tree in the middle also provided some shade. Overall, it's a nice place to have brunch! I'd probably look at different menu items though. read more

First time I came, service was great. Second and third service was lacking. Breakfast burrito is good. Pickled carrots and cauliflower taste like white vinegar, adding some aromatics could help. I've gotten the bodega sando. 1st was great 2nd time was lacking. The server was confused on how the eggs were prepared and kept asking me how I wanted them after telling her I'd take it as is from the menu. 2nd time I was unimpressed, released it was just a potato hamburger bun with scrambled egg and the sauce that comes on it 2nd time just tasted like salt. Egg to bun ratio was off. It was too much bun not enough egg. Their drip coffee is not my favorite. It has a strong sour berry taste. First visit service was great and we got refills on our coffee promptly. 2nd time drip coffees took longer than our food to come out and no refills were offered. Servers were standing around but we were unable to get their attention despite sitting at the bar. Atmosphere is nice. Will most likely try a few more things on the menu. read more

We decided to walk through Ojai and take in some great sights, fresh air and of course get in some healthy steps. Well, we stumbled upon Highly Likely and spoke with the hostess about viewing the menu and she gave us two menus and was quite kind. We decided to sit at the bar. That's where we met Jessica and Adrian, the dynamic duo. What amazing individuals. Carli also provided assistance and you could feel genuine love and caring hearts that not only enjoy their positions but truly love people. Ofcourse we were not familiar with the menu and Adrian helped me with my selection of chiliquiles with grilled chicken and Jessica helped my wife with her egg breakfast plate. Carli brought out our drinks as my wife had a great tasting cappuccino and I had an Americano. Both drinks were fantastic. Adrian and Jessica also helped me as I asked for cranberry juice which they don't carry although better yet they both recommended the hibiscus lemon spritzer juice. It was so good and refreshing. We also had some great conversations with both Adrian and Jessica which we truly enjoyed. I must say the staff here are phenomenal and so authentic and genuinely kind. We just loved our meals and the way these amazing individuals make you feel so welcomed and like family. Everything was beyond great. Great cafe in Ojai. We went for breakfast but you can also get lunch. There were quite a lot of people there and by the time we left there were at least 10 people waiting. The food came out fairly quick and tasted really good. My burrito was on point. My wife had the avocado toast which hit the spot. We also had a side Halloumi which is not typically something you often see in a restaurant. The service was a little bit slow initially but picked up quickly. Everybody was nice and very helpful. The cafe is nice, my only complaint was that it was a bit cold in there due to the AC being on full blast. Will we go back next time we go to Ojai? Highly Likely! read more

While I enjoy the Kale Salad in principle, the execution is very unreliable, making me second guess the choice to go to Highly Likely. It's as if the same ingredient list has been given to different kitchens but without further instruction. I've had it three times and the type of kale (Lacinato vs. curly), ratio of kale to other bases (cabbage and arugula), volume of crispy quinoa and dill (they should nix the latter altogether), adequacy of dressing coverage and amount of butternut squash are all highly variable and it's highly likely the meal won't live up to memory or expectation. It's a solid dish but I wish I could count on the ideal preparation, not a lesser facsimile. Consistency is difficult for a restaurant and this place should focus on it given how excellent they can be if reliable. read more

So, it took 9 months for my husband to agree to giving Highly Likely another chance. We are both glad that we did! They seem to have worked the kinks out. Service was quick and everyone working was quite friendly. I got the turkey sandwich which comes on this delicious, robust seeded bread. The prune mostarda added a nice sweetness to the sandwich. Got their KISS (Keep it Simple Salad) which was actually surprisingly light and delicious. Nice citrusy flavor without overwhelming, good amount of parm and crunchy croutons. I had their Chagaccino iced which was so excellent and refreshing on a hot summer day. My friend got some oatmilk matcha drink with cold foam which I don't remember the name of now. That was also delicious! The banana matcha cocktail was skippable. It sounded so delicious but ended up tasting just kind of cough syrup-y. I didn't mind, so I had it, but they gave me an iced one later when they noticed it. The second time, I ordered a Good Turkey Sando, which was delicious. We got the yuzu deviled eggs and salmon crudo to start and to say they were delicious is an understatement. For entrees we got the seedy schnitzel, the branzino, and the bucatini beet arabbiatta. The service was super friendly and attentive. We walked in on a busy Sunday midday and the host made use a reservation for 15 min later. The wait staff were super upbeat and helpful. We had a matcha lemonade with coconut cold foam- unique and delicious! I had the hippy Crunchwrap- the crispy rice was great, and the broccoli and carrots were crunchy - I didn't notice any avocado in my wrap(which was disappointing) and it could have had more tahini and more chili crunch - but overall it was tasty. My friend had the kale salad with fried chicken added--she said it was fantastic especially the chicken. Very very cute location. They have indoor and outdoor seating and both areas were so cute we couldn't decide where to sit! We were greeted immediately by every single staff member which was so nice. We just came in for a small bite and a little Matcha after driving over to Ojai before we have dinner plans. This was the perfect stop! I got the passionfruit Matcha, which was phenomenal. Matcha and passionfruit are both of my favorite flavors and they mix so well together neither was overwhelming or overpowering, I could taste both. We also got a regular iced Matcha latte, which was also delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy. The deviled eggs were really delicious. They had a nice little kick to them with what tasted like a Yuzu sauce that went so well with the spice! Theu are also connected to a store that was very cute too! So while we were waiting we got to look around which was fun! Great experience and will for sure be coming back to try more things and get another passion fruit matcha!! We've been here 5+ times now and the first 2 times were great with service and food was excellent. Last few times the service was inconsistent. Some servers are great and others seem to be very spaced out. Food has been different each time as well such as different porpotions of ingredients in dishes. Today the kale in the Kyoto bowl was not sauted and just plopped on top of the bowl. My wife just ended up pulling it out and not eating it. Also, we weren't greeted for about 15 minutes and then no acknowledgement either of the wait once we were greeted we only saw the server one other time when she came over to tell us she was taking her break and someone else would be taking care of us. The other girl who helped us toward the end was definitely nice and attentive. One thing to note which at the end of the day is what it is... The kids cheese burger is $15 and add a gluten free bun to that and it comes out to $19. For a kids meal that's pretty wild. We're used to the upcharge on gluten free options seeing as we have two kids who don't do well with gluten so I'm not surprised by it, it just might be a good idea to add that upcharge for GFO to the kids menu (not that we would have not ordered the GF option, but I think menu price and upcharges should always be very transparent on a menu). But yeah, $19 for a kids burger... And it says it comes plain and the server reiterated that too but it came with lettuce for some reason. My kids didn't mind it at all but this was another sign to us that there are some inconsistencies here in the kitchen. Also, I really dislike leaving negative reviews as I managed and worked in restaurants for years in my younger days. But nowadays, I feel like the price point for a full service meal that restaurants are asking consumers to be okay with warrants an honest review. read more

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen needed caffeine in a bad way. This was a lovely place to land in the city of Ojai. They roast their own coffee and it is quite good. A very smooth finish. We also ordered the breakfast raspberry bun. It was perfect. If I could make a couple of recommendations, I would suggest servers' long hair be pulled back while working near food and remind the very kind and busy (!) cashiers (not the servers or food prep!) to sanitize their hands after a sneeze.
