French toast

Fantastic view, friendly service, full menu, and delicious food- what more could you ask for?! I got the French toast for breakfast which was three gigantic pieces with a heap of fresh fruit and maple syrup. We also got the veggie omelet at our table and I didn't hear any complaints!

Great for breakfast! Service was a bit slow except for the person who actually brought out our meals. Food came out hot and delicious. We sat outside so we had great views of the First Tee and the 9th green. An order of Brioche FR. Toast, a Breakfast Burrito &a Ranchers Omelet all meals were hot and delicious.

Beautiful location next to the golf course. Wonderful seating outside in the patio. Enjoyed my turkey club sandwich along with the cesar salad. All very fresh and tasty. Service was very good. Servers very attentive. Buen provecho.

The place is a gem! The remodel they completed a few years ago was done really well. The natural wood and stone decor make you feel like you're in a country cabin. The space is airy, clean, and gorgeous. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. This place delivers platters of delicious and fresh food. The Veggie Omelette is my favorite. You have to split the Pancakes and added Blueberries. The fruit is added to the batter, so when you cut into the three layers of hotcakes, you see the blueberries warmly rolled into the middle. The bar serves up reasonably priced cocktails and great views of the golf course! If the weather permits, sit outside and enjoy some sun and fairways.

The setting here is unbeatable: looking over the sweeping green golf course with the beautiful Ojai bowl mountains in the background. And during sunset it's so serenely peaceful with the hint of pink moment coloring the scene. The service was super kind and attentive. The portions of food here are very generous and the food is fresh. My husband got the California burger and my dad got the Cobb salad. The Cobb salad had huge chunks of delicious chicken! The menu has one of everything I'd say, but is not too expansive in its offerings. I look forward to bringing more of our guests back here to see the beauty of Ojai.

This place has it all! Everything on the menu is great, the view is AMAZING, staff was very friendly and there was even smooth jazz playing over the speakers. Great place for picky eaters or people with allergies as the menu is more traditional American food in comparison to the other local spots!

So Tasty! Love their new menu options in 2026. The Truffle Fries and Cauliflower 'Wrap' are fantastic :P

Ojai Rotie - White bean hummus with grilled manouche

Ojai Rotie slaps. As in this place is so stinking good…read more I've been here twice now and just the flavors they get on the skin of the chicken, or in their side dishes is insane. I especially loved their manoushe (pita-like bread) which was so tasty. The chicken is moist and flavorful (even the breast!) and I probably didn't need to get the 3 dips to share with my husband, but every single one was great. My favorite was the eggplant dip - that one I was eating by itself it was so chunky and delicious. My only gripe is that you have to be seated and then you leave to go order - I'm always worried that they're not going to remember that I'm sitting there and give my spot to someone else lol. And sometimes you have to wait to get in and be seated, and then you have to go stand in line to wait again to order. When it's not super busy, it's a dream spot to eat, but when it's busy, it can be a little bit of a pain. Still worth it in my opinion, though!

I had a pleasant lunch for two for my girlfriend's birthday. We were seated promptly after opening…read more(seemed like quite a wait if you didn't have a reservation after the dining area filled up). We appreciated the backyard-like atmosphere, and I scrambled to the counter to order once the doors opened. We ate the hummus (fresh, tangy, more than enough for two people), a half chicken with the cauliflower and carrots (perfect for two people, well seasoned chicken but the texture of the cauliflower/carrots was limp/underwhelming), and split a lemonade (didn't really taste much lavender). Would come back, probably would opt for a sandwich next time.

The Farmer and the Cook -- Fresh Finds Off the Main Road…read more I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect walking in for the first time, but The Farmer and the Cook won me over pretty quickly. It's bright, clean, and has this easy organic warmth to it... the kind of place that feels like it was put together by people who actually care. Right off the main road, easy to find, and the family vibes are real. It's the kind of spot you want to linger in. If you're navigating dietary restrictions, this place is a quiet goldmine. Strong gluten free options, a genuinely vegan friendly menu, and plenty of vegetarian choices too... so everyone at the table actually gets to eat something they're excited about. That's rarer than it should be. The food? Solid. I went with the raw tacos, sopes, and huarache; all filling, all fairly priced for the area. The raw tacos especially surprised me... fresh, flavorful, and not in a "I wish this was a real taco" kind of way. These hold their own. Service was quick and most of the staff had a warm, genuine energy about them. The one small snag; the cashier seemed to be having a rough one. A little gruff, made me feel like my first visit was mildly inconvenient for them. It happens, we all have bad days, but first impressions do stick a little. Overall though, I'm absolutely coming back. There's more on that menu calling my name and an atmosphere that makes it easy to slow down for a bit. Whether you're vegan, gluten free, or just looking for something fresh and honest... this one's worth the stop.

A really difficult review to write. On the one hand, decent food, and decent environment…read more On the other hand, very dramatic and poorly managed "community" space. I was poisoned there with food that I am allergic to by a spiteful employee. Management not only never apologized, they never did anything. The results were lab tested. I went over and above to give them a chance to be civil and professional, and they came up a complete blank. So sad

The food here is pretty good, which is what you would expect of a restaurant on property of a luxury resort. The hamachi crudo was laughably small so maybe opt out if you're starving or plan to order more than 1 order. Really enjoyed the scallop entree and their Parker house rolls. Breakfast was great - highly recommend the French toast with a side of whipped cream. Service was disappointingly slow both times. The brunch service was better than dinner but our food took so long the first night (I want to say close to or over 30 minutes). I would expect better at an establishment like this. Ambiance is nice with outdoor seating (not sure if they even have indoor seating). There were a ton of flies though at brunch, which dampened the experience.

The highlight for me were the giant cocktail tiger shrimp - so plump and tender, and those alone made the cost worth it for me! Be mindful that unfortunately there are flies and bees which may approach your food, especially if you have seafood shells - you can ask a server for one of the fans at your table to keep away those bugs. We also had a slight hiccup with our OpenTable reservation where in our communications with the restaurant they told us they could accommodate an earlier time but the hostess told us that it did not update in their system - fortunately we were still able to be seated at the earlier time, but at a slightly less ideal table further from the view.

Today was different...and on the way home I stopped. Now it was later in the morning but I had breakfast on my mind. Once inside I saw the counter and there I sat. Coffee arrived a moment later and I was reading the menu. Simple and to the point, the carne asada omelet that sounds good, no potatoes fresh fruit please. It wasn't long and my breakfast arrived. Nothing fancy here Omelet and a bowl of fruit. The Omelet looked small at first but once I realized the amount of carne asada and I was sold. This bad boy was full of it asada that is and the best mix of different fruit I've seen in a long time My choice of bread was a biscuit with a dab of gravy. Gravy tasted like dry mix with a little help from the cook, good but not to memorable on parker house roll size and was "with" so..no complaint. I gobbled the breakfast and swore I'd stop in on my run to pick up the kids. We'll see. Needless to say this is a no nonsense cafe. This is a no fluff diner, the interior is quite stark, blank but I wasn't here for frills or the romance. The delicious carne asada Omelet made my stop worthwhile and certainly worthy of four star Later Foodguy-Martin
