It's more of a vibe than a place to come to for other things; hence why we just can't to play pool. When karaoke night started, the 3 people in here got up she left it was dead after that. But I have to say, as unpopular as this place may be on a weekday, I appreciate that it's still here in Ojai because it adds so much flavor. I really think they should consider aging a food menu tho to get more visitors. I think this place could really elevate if they wanted.

The Hub has that old-school, no-frills, local hangout vibe that feels like it's been there through a thousand Ojai sunsets. It's cozy, unpretentious, and genuinely fun. The drinks were solid, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it felt like one of those places where you can actually exhale and just be. The service was perfect! Rob was the absolute best! If you're expecting craft cocktail theatrics and curated Instagram lighting, this isn't your spot. If you want a cute, classic dive with personality and good energy, it absolutely is. Support local. It really was snug, nestled into a corner of the lobby, with one bartender, a few stools, and a cozy, intimate vibe. The bar was as beautiful as the rest of the hotel, richly designed with polished wood, attractive furnishings, and warm lighting. The whole lobby was loud and happening on the Saturday night of our stay, but when we walked into Snug Bar after dinner on the Sunday, we were the only customers. The bartender was a friendly woman, named Lauren I think, who we learned was a cousin of the nice server who waited on us at dinner. She made our cocktails and we took them into the lobby, where we claimed two handsome chairs on either side of a handsome table. The drinks were excellent. I got the Summer Blanco Negroni, a clear negroni with La Tierre de Acre Cenizo mezcal, Luxardo bitter bianco, and Spanish blanco vermouth. My husband had the Wild Condor Old Fashioned with Wild Turkey bourbon, Amaro Picon, vanilla, and house bitters. The Snug Bar experience was so snug that I fell fully asleep in one of those handsome chairs. The bar was good enough that I might have wanted another round, but I guess that negroni was all the nightcap I needed. I very much enjoyed this bar and Hotel El Roblar in general. I hope to come back and have another drink in this little corner.

Third time she came back, we said well just take the fries and go. Fourth time she asks what they were again, her system just updated. We tried telling her we didn't want anything but the fries. Awkwardly she told us the food was already in the kitchen. Food was ehhhh. Only liked the chickpeas. Midst eating we were entangled by another server/chef? Who circuitously talked for 30 mins, most of which was nonsensical. It was hard not to suspect both of the servers were tripping. Most awkward experience we've ever had at a restaurant.
