This spot is really dope for lunchtime, though I haven't checked out their nightlife yet. I've heard the evening scene is amazing, so that's definitely on my list. Just a heads up, their burritos are super skinny, so don't expect huge portions. But honestly, the flavors more than make up for it. Food Highlights (4/5) -- Mushroom and Nopales Taco 5/5 - NEXT LEVEL!!! Maitake mushrooms, nopales, black bean, crema, avocado, salsa macha (contains peanuts) -- Churros 5/5 - BITE SIZE, maybe two bites but fresh and DELISH! Whipped cream, dulce de leche -- Crispy Lamb Carnitas Taco 4/5 Not bad for something new and NOT gamey tasting Local lamb, guacamole, salsa macha (contains peanuts), onion, cilantro Ambiance & Service (3/5) The staff is pretty average, nothing fancy, but they get your order out without any hassle. It's more functional than friendly, but no problems at all. Parking (4/5) There's a lot right next to the restaurant, plus some free street and perimeter parking, so you don't have to stress about paying for parking or searching forever. If you're looking for some creative tacos and a cool lunch spot, this place is worth a try. Just don't expect big burritos, but the taste and quality more than make up for that.

Taco Roma side. Taqueria part of the place.

Tucked just off Ojai's main street, Radio Roma is more than a mezcal bar--it's an intimate hi-fi listening lounge with a heartbeat all its own. From the kitchen of the adjacent Taco Roma, Mexico City-inspired street food fuels the vibe, while guest DJs spin vinyl five nights a week, filling the air with eclectic soul, funk, and everything in between. We arrived on a crisp Friday night around 7:30 PM. As we stepped out of the Uber, faint tunes hummed from the distance. With every footstep, we left the hum of the street behind and drifted deeper into something that felt like a secret--something alive. Outside, curious passersby lingered, drawn in by the chatter and basslines seeping through the glass. I'd been here before. I knew the code: head straight for the limousine-tinted glass door--unmarked and understated. Inside, the energy embraces you like a warm, seductive whisper. Is it the music? The lighting? The mezcal? All of the above. If you've got a reservation, check in at the front and take a beat to absorb the scene. I like to slide up to the bar first--the Oaxacan Old Fashioned is my ritual; the Mezcal Negroni if I'm feeling adventurous. It's the kind of cocktail that warms you from the inside out, especially on chilly winter nights when the sun dips before dinner. Once your table is ready, settle in and order tacos--immediately. The Carne Asada is a bold nod to CDMX, packed with smoke, salt, and soul. But my forever favorite? The Crispy Lamb Carnitas. It's a masterclass in flavor layering--like a hip-hop classic: each bite sampling tradition, adding its own twist, and demanding your attention. Radio Roma doesn't try to impress. It just is. Confident. Undeniably cool. Authentically itself. It knows who it is--and it doesn't apologize. And before you leave, hear me loud and clear: order the churros. Not to share. Not to split. Get your own. These aren't the soggy, reheated kind from a sad fairground stand. They're golden, fresh, crunchy on the outside, cloud-soft inside, and unapologetically addictive. Your selfish side will thank you. Radio Roma is where you go to fall in love--with the music, the mezcal, the moment. Smile at a stranger. Strike up a conversation. Who knows what kind of magic you might find.

This restaurant has only been opened in Ojai for approximately three months! Even though its only been opened for a short period of time, it seems to be on people's radar. This restaurant/bar is almost like a speakeasy as its outside appearance is minimal and hidden off the main drag downtown Ojai- tucked on side facing a public parking lot. The restaurant opens at 5:30pm. If planning to not arrive when it opens up, I highly recommend reservations, especially if you are planning to eat inside. The inside features a small darkly light space that host about 6 tables that range from 2-6 people . The bar features approximately 6 seats. Outside features multiple tables on the patio along the parking lot. Given the small size, most guest sit outside which is nice on a cool night. With the said, the indoor space atmosphere is a cool club like environment- that is darkly lit. Featuring a gigantic disco ball and musical instruments lining the walls. For drinks, the bar is known for their mezcals. Their margaritas were solid, nice and tart. We enjoyed their Paloma which featured the smokiness of the Mezcal. If you are not a mezcal fan, there is a lengthy wine and beer list. Plus they have plenty of hard alcohol to make you other drinks. We did not eat at the restaurant but the restaurant features mexican and seafood items. The menu is small. On the menu you can find a wide range of tacos- from fish to chicken mole, ceviche and more. The portions look small so don't come hungry or plan to order a lot. Lastly, the bartender informed me that on a nightly basis there is a DJ that spins- this could be a cool place to hang at the bar.

Made a TikTok (@tiktokmarg) about this place because it's such a hidden gem! Not much seating but it's such a vibe in there. Frozen Paloma with mezcal is amazing and you HAVE to get some tacos!! The cocktail was smoky and I could tell they used good quality stuff. The staff was chill and the atmosphere was super laid back. Food was delicious I was very happy. Ask for the habanero salsa if you like spice

A mixture of food but the main focal point is the $7 California burrito. A fair amount of meat but only two French fries. It's the smallest burrito the world has ever seen. The chef is Japanese so it makes sense the portions would be small but this was tiny for me. And we all know in a deep fryer no one on gods green earth is frying just two French fries. A burrito should come with a minimum of 3 fries. This is the world's tiniest taco pretending to be a burrito. To be fair they did warn me it would be small but not this small. The atmosphere is loud and disco and bright. The chef apparently has a Michelin star for tortillas so that's amazing but the music makes my ear bleed. Overall I left still hungry. If you're looking for a typical Mexican restaurant this is not it. Two French fries in a burrito with cheese, crema, steak. Steak is good but it's no burrito it's like a tacos smaller cousin. Overall it's a miss for me. Please avoid this place

Good tacos, nice patio. Not much seating inside as it is a small, dark, bar. Cool retro vibe with shelves of old LPs.

Frankly, I thought it was probably just another taco place and wasn't expecting much... but BOY was I wrong! One pork and one chicken soft taco and they both knocked my socks off. I'm not even a chicken taco fan, but that one was mind blowing good! The owner whose name I won't even attempt to spell because I would just butcher it, was very kind. He only takes cash, but I didn't notice the sign. I was a dollar short and he took care of me anyway. Trust me though, his tacos are worth more than he charges and worth every penny! Definitely give him a try! You won't be sorry! TWO HUMBS UP!

The tacos were packed with protein, honestly a much better meat-to-filling ratio compared to the quesadilla. We didn't try the burritos this time, but maybe we'll give one a try on our next visit...maybe. It's mainly a lunch stop and takeout only, so plan to grab your food and head to a nearby park or shady corner to enjoy it. It is cash only, though there's an ATM inside, and you'll find assorted drinks, juices, and refreshing aguas frescas to go with your meal. The line can get long, so arrive early and bring your patience. They can sell out too, so plan accordingly. Overall, it's a low-key spot with authentic flavors and reasonable prices. If you don't mind waiting a bit, it's worth trying for an early lunch since there are plenty of other great restaurants in the area.

You pony up to the line, which moves pretty fast. You order your food, which will be brought to your table. All the seats are outside, most under some kind of shade. There is a large keg of water outside, that you can keep refilling your glass from. We were with a party of four; however, the two of us had the Pesto Chicken Pizza, which was yummy; however, quite a bit of the bottom/crust was a bit overly burnt -- otherwise, quite yummy. We also had the Fried Chicken Sammy with a Vegan Cesar salad. The chicken sammy was great with some bacon jam and onion. I was given a salad on the side; however, it was not at all a Cesar salad -- so I'm not sure what it was (I couldn't replicate it on the menu) Overall, a good experience; however, it just seemed that the order may have been rushed a bit creating a few too many mistakes. I would still return though.

Hole in the wall dining at its best, and authentic mexican flavors without a big bill. In fact, this was one of the cheapest meals I've had in a while in SoCal, under $20 a person for generous portions, free tortilla chips, and a tasty salsa bar. It's an order at the counter place, there were no prices on the menu board overhead, and the staff was super friendly and caring. We had a carnitas burrito, i had shrimp enchiladas with green sauce, and we had an order of 2 sopes. All hugely generous servings, served hot. They seemed to have a lot of takeout orders going on while we were there. Not a lot of people around but a lot coming and going, and it took about 20 minutes before our food came out. All around delicious, nice patio seating if you have a dog, and a few tables inside as well. Ample parking lot. If you're in the Ojai area, this is worth a stop.

I am definitely surprised by the lower reviews as our experience on a Sunday evening was pretty stellar and hopefully the reviews continue to be more positive if the restaurant and staff are making adjustments to the feedback. We stumbled in on a Sunday evening after wine tasting. We truthfully wanted round two of drinks and a clean bathroom lol. I had heard about this spot in the past and their curb appeal drew us in. Love their signage, the name/logo on the front wall, and once we walked in the bar seemed very cute and inviting. Probably what would have been an initial red flag was that it was dead inside but we just wanted to sit and enjoy a cocktail. The outdoor patio seemed cute and did have like three tables full. We looked over the menu and were actually very impressed. They have an extensive cocktail menu with fun looking drinks and ingredients. The food menu looked pretty appetizing to me if I'm being honest. Based off of the menu alone I'd come back. Happy hour during her weekdays seems legit too. My group only ordered cocktails but the drinks were pretty and a generous pour! Three of us ordered the prickly pear margaritas and we loved the tall glass they came in. We really loved how the female bartender whipped our drinks up super quickly. My other friend got a Smokey cocktail and we all agreed we really liked our drinks. Had we not already been drinking all afternoon I would have definitely ordered another cocktail. The staff were actually very nice and sweet (going against other reviews). The bartender again was really quick with the drinks and made them very tasty. The waitress who checked up on us was darling. Me and my girlfriends were deep in conversation and I appreciated how she would check in on us but also was mindful to not seem interruptive. She also gave us recommendations on what food is popular and to order next time. While I only experienced the bar area I was very pleased with our visit. Drinks were good, the decor cute, and nice staff. Hoping more people will give them a try as we really liked this spot. Clean single bathroom too in the back which was helpful as we all needed a pit stop and refresh. Definitely keeping this spot in mind next time I'm in Ojai and needing a margarita.
