The food here is exceptional and the service is superb. Attentive without hovering and everyone who works here is so welcoming and friendly - always with smiles on their faces. The ambience is clean and quaint with assorted pictures of local favorite Johnny Cash on the walls. I honestly question the 2 disatisfied reviews regarding customer service or the food being bland but, as you'll see from the overwhelming majority of reviews, this simply isn't the case :) Prices are beyond reasonable (especially for this area). I had a ride to take some hschool kids up to "the camp". I do this every year and I've seen this cafe place but as time would have it I didn't stop for a neal. Today was different...and on the way home I stopped. Now it was later in the morning but I had breakfast on my mind. Once inside I saw the counter and there I sat. Coffee arrived a moment later and I was reading the menu. Simple and to the point, the carne asada omelet that sounds good, no potatoes fresh fruit please. It wasn't long and my breakfast arrived. Nothing fancy here Omelet and a bowl of fruit. The Omelet looked small at first but once I realized the amount of carne asada and I was sold. This bad boy was full of it asada that is and the best mix of different fruit I've seen in a long time My choice of bread was a biscuit with a dab of gravy. Gravy tasted like dry mix with a little help from the cook, good but not to memorable on parker house roll size and was "with" so..no complaint. I gobbled the breakfast and swore I'd stop in on my run to pick up the kids. We'll see. Needless to say this is a no nonsense cafe. This is a no fluff diner, the interior is quite stark, blank but I wasn't here for frills or the romance. I am a DoorDash Food Photographer, so you can imagine I get to sample a lot of dishes from a variety of restaurants. Noe's has 2 locations, one on Anapamu in Santa Barbara and one one the main road through Oak View, CA. I have only been to the Oak View one so far. This is a great little place that reminds me of local places in the 70's. Boths, tables and counter. The interior has a lot of memorbelia about Johnny Cash who used to live in Oak View. I love Johnny, so it took me back to my teens. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is great. It's a very informal place, so very comfortable. The best thing though is the food! Hats off to the cooks and managers for developing the menu. One of my favorite dishes was the blackened salmon, wow! it was some of the best I've ever had and the amazing rice on the side was a flavor I'd never tasted. It was delicious. They have a large menu with a lot of your favorite choices. Luckily it's not far from my house so I'll be back just as a regular customer. Happy to have a classic style diner in Oak View. Very clean. Love the Johnny Cash theme as he's a big part of our area. The staff were excellent. The owners were present which is always a plus. I always had a full cup of coffee because the staff were so attentive. What I ordered was different than what I expected, it was more of a stewed steak and eggs meal. The meal was actually better than what I thought I was getting. I always ask for well done hash browns, they nailed it. The biscuit that came with it was huge and fluffy. This restaurant is a California throwback to simpler times, great staff who are friendly and where you can expect a diner style setting and solid meal. Great stop for after a walk, run, bike ride. To be in the Ojai Valley and not use local eggs and produce makes no sense. The food is bland and lacks seasoning, my eggs were neon yellow and not farm fresh, potatoes undercooked, biscuit undercooked, coffee was hot flavored water. They didn't answer the phone professionally like, Noes café. How could I help you? When I called back and informed the lady didn't ask who was gonna pick up my order and how much the total price was she made it seem like I was inconveniencing her for informing her about that information. It's been some time that I have been there. Thought I'd stop in and say me and my girlfriend had a great enjoyable breakfast. Fast ordering and fast delivery. Great coffee. Their breakfast burritos and pancakes were amazing. We shared two plates and it was more than enough. The burritos came with great salsa and pancakes came with great syrup and lots of butter and jelly packs. Great biscuits and gravy. Down to earth and down home cooking. We stopped last week for lunch. Our first visit with new name and owner. I ordered the Monte Cristo Sandwich, something I rarely find outside of Solvang. It was outstanding and large enough to take half home for dinner. My friend had the Cobb Salad and loved it. Everything coming out of that kitchen looked fantastic. I can't say enough how impressed I am with this place in so many ways. To start the food is delicious and very well priced. I ordered a tuna melt and it came out quickly and very hot. We're in town to spend Christmas with family and Noe's Cafe was recommended by the clerk at our hotel as having good food. He told us he eats there frequently and enjoys the food and the service. After our lunch we heartily agree. My wife ordered a salad and the seasonal vegetable side, while I had the classic cheeseburger. Both had fresh and colorful produce, were served at the proper temperature by friendly and accommodating staff, and the cheeseburger was cooked to order. At one point Noe, the owmer, visited the customers at their tables to check that everything was satisfactory. He spent a few minutes with us and shared that the cafe had opened about 10 months previously and they had been very successful. He also mentioned he would be expanding the menu in the new year. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the food. We strongly recommend the cafe to anyone who is in the area. read more

If you are vegan, don't shy away! Noe said they are open to vegan options! I suggested some veggie breakfast burritos, regular veggie burritos, or veggie tacos. Service was just as good as the breakfast and ambiance was 50ish with a couple photos of the areas famous singer Johnny Cash. The owner helped out and very nice. The service was genuinely the best service I'd ever received in my life!! Both of our servers were the sweetest, made wonderful conversation and genuinely made our day! They were also so attentive!
