Best breakfast place in town. Great food and the views are hard to beat! Their salsa and refried beans are really yummy.

My family has been coming up here for years but sadly I will not be coming here again because of the astronomical price increase. Cheeseburger, fries, and coke = $23.00, regular house salad = $15.00, 5 breakfast burritos = $80.00. No way man! Hard working Americans busting their butts to cook very good tasty simple food. We go there to have a breakfast from time to time and have never been disappointed. Sometimes the wait is a long time but that's not their fault they put out a good product. The views are amazing as it's right on the lake. If you are worried about paying for entrance to campsite area, tell them you're going to restaurant and they'll give you a pass just for that. Food is excellent and very traditional. Love to come here since it's about 5 minutes from my house. read more

The Marina Cafe is a super nice break from my cooking in our camper!! It's our second visit here to Lake Casitas and our third trip to the cafe. I had the avocado omelette with a side of hash browns (it usually comes with beans and cheese) orders crispy and they were PERFECT!! My omelet was also delish and cooked perfectly, with LOTS of yummy and awesomely ripe avocado. It said it came topped with salsa, but it was more of a sauce and it was SO GOOD!! Hubby had the chicken fried steak and home fried and he cleaned the plate!! Happy to have come to brekkie here the food was GREAT!! read more

Delicious food with a beautiful view. This was the relaxing morning I needed with the hubby. Right when you walk in the decor is so unique. I really loved it. Like camping vibes. The cashier was warm and welcoming. They had a good size menu, but I went with the Chicken Fried Steak and pancakes. Yum! You can always tell if a restaurant is good by the gravy and it was GOOD! Expect to pay $25 per person for breakfast and cold coffee. The eggs are neon, the toast is stale with oil sprayed on it, and the bacon seemed microwaved. Worst breakfast I've had in a LONG time. And terrible service last Thursday morning by an older lady with an accent. Very rude. I asked for a cup of hot water (I was going to pour it in my cold coffee) but she was going to charge me $4.37. For hot water that she rang up as hot tea. Great outdoor seating though. It's no wonder this place was empty but has great potential! Make better food Marina Cafe! read more

Food was good as was the service. The redfish was cook perfectly and had a spicy favor accompanied by a wonderful sauce. The salads were very good - caesar and wedge. The filet mignon wontons were excellent. Ambience was nice although it was really quiet the night we went (Sunday). I would definitely eat here again. I like the fact they took reservations vs the place next door that look like a zoo of activity from the parking lot to people waiting. I ordered the taquitos and they were made with 90% disgusting veins! I am pretty sure you took 2 taco size tortillas and filled them with horrible meat, cut them in half and passed those disgusting 4 pieces of on as a meal. I saw many people ordering decent-looking burgers, so that may be the heads-up, but stay away from the gross taquitis!! I can't say anything about the service, since it's cafeteria style. read more

Breakfast by the lake! Had a great little breakfast here today. Just your basic eggs bacon hash browns. My GF had juevos rancheros. Al pretty good. Nothing spectacular but if you want a scenic lakeside breakfast or lunch, you can't go wrong here. Great friendly low key place. read more

Avocado Omelet for breakfast was the absolute BEST I've ever had! I should have taken a picture of this beauty. It was so good, I went back the very next day and had it again! Carlos the owner was DELIGHTFUL and boy can he cook! We were immediately greeted by friendly staff in a very clean restaurant. Both inside and outside dining with a view available. The staff was "spot on", very kind and tended to our every need. In the world of trying to figure out if a pandemic is ongoing or over, it's an absolute delight to have respective, friendly, young staff come back to your table several times to ensure everything is okay and inquire if you need anything else is desired. Service was FANTASTIC. Pet friendly. Kid friendly. We had a group of six and every person ordered something different. From French Toast, to Omelet's, to Breakfast Burritos, Sausage, Bacon, the Home Potatoes & Eggs,... EVERYTHING was delicious. And I just have to rave about the beans for a moment. I am super picky about my refried beans,.. these were definitely the best beans I've ever tasted. They were outta this world DELICIOUS! If your on the lake enjoying the day... don't really want to leave... have no food of your own... don't want to buy some at the market and cook it or make a sandwich... guess what? You got the very convenient (I believe closes by 2pm though) Marina cafe located about 3 min directly to the left as you enter the lake. The staff is nice The view is nice The menu has the usual suspects you would want from a lake There is beer on tap and in the bottle (hey now) I ordered the cheese burger and fries. The actual burger is way to small for the bun they use... that's ok your at the lake. The lettuce was abundant and a bit wilted.. that's ok I chased it down with my beer. The cheese was melted nicely. All in don't expect in n out or eggs n things. Instead enjoy a fun meal on the lake with your pals and family.. have some beer... it's all good. read more

I really do like this place after I fish I head down here and I love the chicken fried steak and eggs. Also the hamburger combos are good. The service is really great. There is not a long wait. They sell ice cream also, diner food, cafe food, and some mexican food. It closes early so you have to catch them in the morning. If you at Lake Casitas I recommend you should try it here. read more

I love eating the breakfast here! All you have to do is ask for the cafe pass at the gate for lake casitas and they'll let you in for free so you can come to the cafe! I love to sit in the booths inside and eat breakfast and maybe hangout and read or do homework. I've recommended to my entire family that they eat here (even extended family) and they always go back to eat their repeatedly. My dad loves the chicken fried steak and orders it almost every other weekend. I like all their food whether it's just bacon and eggs or a breakfast burrito (the best breakfast burrito in town). The cook and servers always make sure we are happy and enjoying our meals! I highly recommend eating here, it's definitely the most reliable breakfast place in town, since a lot of restaurants in Ojai are closed on some weekdays. So glad I found this place and have somewhere to go with my family for a nice breakfast or lunch. read more
