Jimmy's Pub has a casual atmosphere, beautiful views, and tasty bites. The pulled pork sandwich and burger are tasty, and plentiful. On weekends the pub offer an unlimited Bloody Mary and mimosa bar. You can doctor up your Bloody Mary to your liking, extra spicy for me The service is good. The wait staff are attentive and friendly, giving off that Ojai Valley Inn appeal. Had guests over for the weekend and they were looking for a classy place to have a drink. I suggested Jimmy's. They went over and sat down and waited for 20 minutes and no body came to take their order. The issue is, they weren't busy at all. I was surprised they got poor service at the Ojai Valley Inn. We have stayed there several times and used the spa services and had great service there. While there is not a lot of places to choose from while staying at this resort, it is not a bad choice for lunch especially if you like a nice outdoor scene. Their tortilla soup was not my favorite, but the pizza (idk the name but it had truffle oil and mushrooms) was a good choice. For such a nice hotel/resort, I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food here. The service was great, and everyone was very accommodating, but the food quality just wasn't there. To boot, this pub/restaurant is quite pricy.. Especially for the mediocre food. My friends and I came here on a Saturday around 3pm in the afternoon. We ordered the chicken wings and chips/guac/dip appetizers to start, with drinks. I ordered a large 22 oz Topa Topa IPA, and my friends ordered various cocktails. No complaints about the drinks, they were great. The guacamole was exceptional, as well. The chips themselves were alright, and the wings were decent enough. A little spicy and messy, so if that's what you're into, order away. They were decently meaty. The ambiance was nice. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the greenery and views. It really was beautiful here. The main course: Pretty average. I ordered the margherita pizza which was good, and I liked that it came with a lot of sauce. My friend ordered the hotdog, which was enormous! The dog itself did not taste that good, however. My other friends ordered the tacos, which they liked, but didn't think were that great. All in all, this place is worth it for the experience and I would come back. The views are beautiful, and it really is relaxing. A great place to sit out, drink a few beers, and enjoy the day. The food here is good but nothing special. The best thing about this restaurant is definitely the atmosphere. Beautiful view of the golf course and mountains - if you are able to find seating that is. If not, the restaurant is okay too. The food was not bad at all but seemed a little overpriced. After all, it is a resort restaurant. If you are looking to stay on the resort for dinner and get something chill and casual, I recommend going to Jimmy's Pub for sure. I got the burger and it was fantastic. Really well made -!and service was great as well. However, I had to deduct two stars because my sister ordered the white pizza and it was burnt at the bottom and VERY oily. Also, prices are pretty steep, especially if you have children. I would recommend for the view and convenience but would not recommend going out of your way for a visit. read more

Jimmy's Pub won me over with their PInk Moment Martini! So refreshing and deelish! :) And the color of course was pretty too! They named this drink after the phenomenon that occurs at sunset in Ojai. If you look to the east to the Topatopa Mountains, they will appear a brilliant shade of pink for several minutes as the sun begins to set. Ojai is one of the very few places in the world where the Pink Moment occurs. Anyway back to my review! :) We were seated immediately and the host and wait staff were all very super friendly and kind! We received amazing service here at Jimmy's! We were treated very well, which is more than what I can say for many places these days. Another thing that I loved about this place is that they serve you complimentary fresh potato chips seasoned with parmesan cheese, garlic and some herbs. Really tasty!!! :) We also ordered their pepperoni pizza. It was thin crust, so not too heavy on our bellies. The waitress also brought out these homemade potato crisps with herbs and cheese on top, which were really good while we sat outside seeing the golfers putt their balls, people watching the LA out-of-towners, and eavesdropping on CEOs nearby lol Our pizza came out fast and it was SOO GOOD! How brilliant it is to have avocado slices on a BBQ chicken pizza?? Amazing for a thin crust pizza :) Nom nom nom. After our meal, we checked out the "pink moment" (a sunset in Ojai) that came upon us and took some lovely pictures of it against the mountains and above the golf greens. First night at the resort didn't want to drive anywhere after driving 2.5 hrs to get here. So we decided to walk the grounds.. And ended up at this fine establishment. Impeccable service!!!!!! Ashley was so friendly and sweet and came and served us on the lawn. She was so lovely and really made our dining experience ! We ordered lavender lemonades - not too sweet, just the way I like it! And shrimp cocktail - the avocado mouse was delightful. Although the service, scenery, and alcohol options here were absolutely fabulous, the food was NOT GOOD. With the exception of the Buffalo wings which were delicious everything else was bland but heavy and made me feel nauseous. It took me the whole day to recover from that meal....it almost took me out of the game! I ordered the chicken salad wrap which was one of the most boring things I have ever eaten. They don't even add onion to the chicken salad...wtf? I would actually much rather eat the wraps from the cafeteria at work than here. I wouldn't have cared or thought about the food very much but for the price and location I expected A LOT more. My friends got the tacos which they also said were also so boring. If you go here, I would recommend just getting appetizers and drinks. The scenery is beautiful, the waitress is great, and they have a good selection beer (and 22oz glasses) as well as delicious cocktails. Don't go here for lunch, I am sure there are many better options to explore in Ojai!! Unless you are a picky boring eater which probably a lot of the people who go there are and that's why their food tastes like it's made for kindergartens. We booked 3 nights at Ojai but had to cut our trip short by a day because my husband got food poisoning from the fish tacos. They were delicious and deadly. We ate/shared everything except that one dish. We ate twice at Jimmy's. The meal was fine the first time, it was the second time with the tacos that kept my husband sick all night and that shortened the trip. Service with Emmie was fantastic. It was such a shame to have gotten sick. Ojai Valley Inn is beautiful, with excellent amenities, and service-focused staff. The loss prevention person came with his assistant to collect info to file an incident report about the food poisoning. He was very professional and gave us his number if we had questions. I was a little bummed our final bill still included that last charge from Jimmy's since their Exec team was reviewing our case. We were there to rest/heal, I didn't expect to bring home a sicker partner than when we first got there. I didn't dispute the bill because we just wanted to get home so my husband could rest comfortably. The valet staff charged up our car and the luggage/cart driver couldn't be nicer. I would love to go back to Ojai Valley Inn, but unlikely, I would eat at Jimmy's again. read more

We have been coming here for at least 3 years now as we take our yearly December trip from Thousand Oaks to the Ojai Valley Inn to walk the grounds, see the Christmas decor and have some food. We stumbled upon Jimmy's the first time around when the other restaurant on property was too busy, and we are so glad we did! We always sit on the patio under the heaters, and usually there are very few people around. We love the quiet atmosphere, and lovely view of the golf course and Christmas tree. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their menu changes from year to year and there is always a variety of good comfort foods. Badly run or something else? So I convinced a buddy to drive 1h 45m to play Ojai Valley Ranch Golf course. High hopes. Beautiful day. Grounds immaculate. Saturday April 10. Golf and the Masters. Perfect. The round was ok except for very slow play on the back nine. There was a fast foursome in front of us on the front nine but on 10 a twosome appeared after we took a WC break on the turn.. The twosome must have searched for balls on every hole often twice on the same hole.. Of course they played from the tips.. No marshals, which would have helped at least some of the overtime looking for balls. Except for the slow play we enjoyed the round and talked about returning with our wives for an extended stay. The golf staff was awesome and even offered us some bottled water while we watched a few minutes of the Masters before heading out to eat. Golf 3.5 stars. But the "what just happened" event was our 19th hole experience at Jimmy's sports bar. We went to the sports bar to watch the Masters. It's Saturday at 245p. Moving day. The bar was empty and we were seated promptly. We noted that the TVs were tuned to the golf channel and not the Masters. I went to the bar to ask the bartender to change the channel to CBS for the Masters live broadcast. This is where it got weird. The nice woman behind the bar said sure and started to reach under the bar but a coworker standing a few feet to her right (later we got his name-Joe) signaled her with his hand, palms down waving side to side briefly. She immediately back pedaled and said "let me ask". Bad juju. But I felt watching the Masters was more important and waited. Joe came over to an ordering tablet next to our table. He did not say anything. He stood there at a slight angle to us such that he can see us on his right and I can see his hands and the tablet. He did not touch the tablet. It was like he was standing by and monitoring us. A minute later a woman who was not wearing an apron (she seemed to be the shift leader) came over, stood between us and Joe and said the Masters broadcast didn't start until 3pm. She didn't introduce herself. I said no it's on now and showed her that we were watching it live on YouTube TV. She walked back behind the bar for a minute or so. I did not see Joe standing there anymore. When she came back she said that they don't have access to CBS in their bar account. (?). We told her we were watching CBS at the pro shop and aren't they on the same "resort feed? She said she will call and check. She left and after 10 minutes did not return. At this point we asked for the bill (10$ for 2 diet Coke's from the tap), paid and left. As we were walking out we noticed Joe standing-by outside and we asked for his name. Very odd. Jimmy's sports Bar is on the resort with presumably the same cable coverage s the pro shop. It is 20 feet away from the 13th tee. It is Masters weekend afternoon. The default TV channel should be CBS. I hope it is true they have a different feed from the golf shop since an alternative reason is worse... We're Asians. read more

Jimmy's Pub used to have a much better quality menu and more reasonable pricing and it's very sad that the food quality and options have declined so much. While it does have the nicest outdoor seating for drinks and food, the food itself has become mediocre, at best, over the last 2-3 years. The menu has become less special, and by special I mean homemade and freshly prepared dishes, instead of something you'd find at a chain hotel in Anaheim or some area that cares less about quality and caters to the masses. For example, the pulled pork and coleslaw served with the meals seems like it could have been bought at Smart & Final (Costco has better quality foods). The pizza is served on a wafer thin crust and the pepperoni and cheese seem prepackaged, like the pulled pork and coleslaw. I think our Barbie easy-bake oven had a similar pizza mix with it. The menu itself went from a 3-4 page selection, to a 1 page clipboard style menu. Not good. As residents of Ojai, ourselves and many of our friends have really enjoyed spending evenings at the Inn for lunch and dinner, just to relax and enjoy the setting or a sports game on their TV's, and it's disappointing to have the quality deteriorate so much, with MUCH higher prices too. I hope something changes internally that remedies this SOON because we enjoy going there very much. Yes, there are other restaurants at the Inn, but sometimes one just wants to take the family to a kid friendly spot, have an adult beverage and quality food, and enjoy a relaxing evening. read more

Overpriced and delicious. We spent $134 on a lunch for two people and a toddler, albeit with three drinks - but that's still $90+ for food. It's a bar, and there are TVs and ample sports, and the menu is concise, interesting and features spins on bar food - short rib tacos, chicken pot pie, a velvety tortilla soup and a ceviche tostada are the highlights. The drinks are stiff, but so is the tab. You're essentially forced to go here if you're staying at the Ojai Valley Inn & Resort, so bring your AMEX Gold and dig in. My family & I like to come here because of the beautiful setting. It's the nicest place in Ojai for outdoor seating, and our kids like to play on the putting green and the hill. The service is always good (even a little over the top); however, over the years, it seems that the prices keep going up and the portions keep getting smaller. The prices are just ridiculous for what you get. Tonight I ordered a Pixie Paloma cocktail, which was tasty (a little on the sweet side), but it was also TINY and cost $16. My daughter and I shared a pulled pork sandwich with tiny side dishes for $16.50. My other daughter ordered her own sandwich. It was tasty, but again, small for what you pay. Also, my daughters spent most of their time picking out pieces of fat. I'm getting discouraged by the prices & portions and don't think I'll be frequenting this place as much as I used to. read more

The price of the burger has increased from $14 to $23. They have always served complimentary homemade potato chips that were wonderful-now you have to purchase them for $6.00. The food was ok. Maybe it's because their selections are so limited, maybe it's because the food seems like it has been over grilled, over fried, and/or over greasy, but I would rather have a Costco hotdog or Taco Bell taco than what they serve here. I had the fish tacos which were kind of bland but fairly tasty. As mentioned the potato chips were very good. Good service-- everything was made correctly despite many modifications. Sitting outside is a good idea, especially at night, as the bar was full, literally, of drunk families. If I'm back in town Id probably be back. read more
