Super friendly service and lively place with nice natural light. I got the itallian works subbed it with the foccacia. Really good sandwich, my only negative is I like a lot of lettuce on my sandwich and mine didn't have much but still very enjoyable and delicious.

Mona - best customer experience. The only experience that left a very positive impression. Thank you Mona!

Disappointing Experience - Burnt Pizza & Poor Service I wanted to like this place, but it was a letdown. The owner, Tony, gave free cookies to two white couples ahead of us after learning it was their first visit. When my wife, who was right behind them, cheerfully said it was her first time too, he waved her off, said "no need for a tip," and walked away to make our pizza without gloves. This isn't about a cookie--it's about respect. The dismissive attitude left my wife feeling belittled. If you want to discriminate against someone at least be discreet about it. Then came the pizza: burnt on the bottom, with large, deep blackened areas--well past "charred" and into "burnt," giving it a bitter, acrid taste. Clearly overcooked or mishandled, not artisan style. The only saving grace was Mona, whose warm smile and kindness stood out, even when my wife returned later looking for her phone. Ojai deserves better hospitality than this.

Pinyon in Ojai is a must! I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as we were fortunate enough to secure a spot for dinner without one. However, we had to settle for an outdoor table but it was weather permitting. Order at the counter and you'll find an open kitchen behind, providing a glimpse into the culinary process. Here's what we ordered: Ordered the following: - Chicory Caesar $14 (Breadcrumb, Radish, Mint, Pecorino) - Woodfired Sourdough Bread $9 (added Stracciatella Cheese $9 - HIGHLY recommend) - Porco rosso $22 (Spicy Tomato Sauce, Pecorino Cheese, Soppressata, Breadcrumb, Confit garlic) - Yuzu Ranch $5 (mild yuzu taste but nice to dip the pizza in) Definitely enough food for 2 people. Maybe get some snacks, the beans or olives looked really good! We also returned the next day for coffee/breakfast and my wife really enjoy their bagel! Pinyon is a must-visit restaurant if you're in Ojai. I'll be back!

Casitas pork meatballs - served as a seasonal plate crafted from local pasture‑raised meat, kale, pecorino & breadcrumbs. Madonna pizza - wood‑fired oven sourdough crust topped w/ fontina cheese, local mushrooms & spring onion.

NOTE that they do charge a 20% service fee. Got the pinyon and porco rosso. The pinyon is a must have!! The broccolini has soft, sweet dates and is savory, salty, spicy, and sweet. Sold out of all bagels by 11am on sunday so come early if you want those! Staff are very friendly and helpful (: Interior design is adorably decorated with a frog theme, even frog ambiance for when you poop.

The porco rosso pizza is the main reason I would return to this establishment. They do carry Dr. Browns natural soda which pairs really well. Yes the pictures show already finished plates however that just shows it was good food. We ordered the chicory caesar salad, hearth bread, porco rosso and pinyon pizza. The service was moderate compared to other customers who received their orders sooner than us and were sat about half an hour after we were.

Came here the other day and was greeted by the friendly staff. Had the Margheritaville Pizza. Caesar Salad and Sourdough Bread everything tasted fresh and really good. Pizza tasted like a Neapolitan style. I'm not really a fan of and I'm not really a fan of having sourdough bread on my Pizza but it's just me but everything was good and fresh. I can see people that like this style of pizza will give it a good 10 out of 10. But it is a nice place to grab a bite to eat and have some drinks with a family or friends they do serve alcohol parking can be kind of tight during busy hours, but give them a try if you're in the area.

honestly wasn't impressed by the pizza here. we ordered the margherita and madonna pizzas. the madonna pizza was so burnt on the bottom i couldn't taste anything else... the margherita pizza was fine, but really nothing special. considering the price, i wouldn't come back again

My partner & I did a walk-in so we weren't expecting the best seats. The hostess kept making it seem like she couldn't seat us because they were expecting more people. We had to share a table with other guests. By the time we left, there were at least 3 empty tables & they were closing soon anyways...we couldn't help but feel like it was race targeted. The pizza was really good but did take a while despite no order in front of us. Could have been a better experience.

So good we forgot to take photos!

One of the best meals I've had in a while! 100% make this part of your Ojai itinerary. We had: - Market Greens salad: Comes with the BEST date dressing - Tomatoes with whipped feta and basil: Delicious - Woodfired broccolini: Spicy, so much flavor - Peach and prosciutto pizza - Margheritaville + some amazing orange wine. Thank you to the kind folks at Pinyon!

Was in Ojai for a few hours and decided to get something quick so we went for pizza. This place is amazing with friendly and patient staff on first timers! We had the Margherita pizza along with freshly squeezed orange juice was wonderfully refreshing. Caesar salad was amazing. When it hit 4 pm, we also had another pizza that was available dinner time. Because we were getting ice cream after, we didn't get dessert which was the pistachio tiramisu - biggest food regret on this trip to Ojai. Place is quaint with a few tables inside and outside, but since it was drizzling, most peeps opted in. A sure stop for next time in Ojai. Oh, don't miss going to the bathroom - ribbit.

Good wood fire pizza but a little burnt. My husband was not bothered by that tho. Overall it is good and I love the chewiness of the dough. Service is fine. We also had miso eggplant plate, it is a little pricy but good. I will visit here again for pizza.

They have two great options. They have a four choice wine tasting, which allows you to choose any 4 from the current list of 8. Or, you can indulge in the full monty which is where you get tastings of all wine currently on the menu. They are both very good values when comparing wine tasting rooms. The air conditioning was on, and we were happy. The music, the wine, the vibes and there was a wonderful employee working that day (I'm sorry, it's only been 24 hours and I cannot remember his name) Anyway, the whole experience was great. I would definitely return again.

Great local artwork all around the tasting room and a fun painted upright piano. Our tasting host was very friendly and provided short tid bits of information of each wine. My husband did the $19 four wine pour tasting and I did the $36 Full Monte pouring of their entire eight wine tasting. I enjoyed my first Grüner Veltliner white wine, 2024 Grunay (a hint of sweetness yet still crisp to the tongue and a light body). I also enjoyed their Tempranillo red wine, 2023 Taransay (well balanced medium body, slightly on the drier side but not too much, and had some nice tannins), this is the full glass I ordered after the tasting. I was not a fan of the 2021 Soay (Red Blend of 70% Granache, 15% Petit Verdot and 15% Petit Syrah) - I really wanted to like it as I typically like this blend, however there was a strange aftertaste that reminded me of water that was rinsed in dried rice. From 4PM - 6PM on Saturdays and Sundays, there is a local musician. Today was a singer-songwriter who played both acoustic and electric guitar and was accompanied by a lovely bass guitar player. They performed a few lighter versions of rock music and a handful of originals. Overall, great value and good music.

If you know me, then you already know... this is my happy place…read more I don't even know where to begin because this place has become so much more than a tasting room to me. Majestic Oak is my happy place. Seriously. The second I walk downstairs, I instantly relax. I don't know what it is... maybe it's the red umbrellas, the beautiful greenery, the cozy little patio, or just the overall atmosphere. I close my eyes for a second, take a deep breath, and it honestly feels like I've escaped into my own little world. I come here about once a month, and there's a reason I became a wine club member. Yes, the location is absolutely beautiful, but let's talk about the wine... every. single. one. has been amazing. I'm usually more of a red wine girl, but even their whites have surprised me. They're crisp, refreshing, and just plain delicious. I honestly haven't had a wine here that I didn't love. But what really keeps me coming back is the people. Rita deserves the biggest shout-out. It's not just that she takes amazing care of us every time we visit. It's her personality. Her knowledge. Her passion for the wines. She makes you feel like you've been friends forever, and somehow every visit feels even more special because she's there. She has this way of making everyone feel welcome, and that kind of hospitality is something you can't teach. For me, Majestic Oak isn't just somewhere to drink wine. It's where I go to slow down, breathe, laugh, and enjoy life for a little while. It has become my home away from home, and I honestly can't imagine a month going by without stopping in. If you're anywhere near Ojai, do yourself a favor and visit. Come for the wine... stay because you'll probably fall in love with everything else too. One last thing... we stopped by today, as usual, and Kristy took such incredible care of us! She was so welcoming, attentive, and made our visit just as memorable. It reminded me that the amazing service here isn't just one person; it's the culture. Every visit leaves us feeling like family, and that's something truly special. (Oh... and if you see Bruce, make sure you say hi! He's the sweetest little furball and just might steal your heart before your first sip of wine. ) Thank you, Majestic Oak, for creating a place that truly feels... Majestic.
