He made it very clear that he enjoyed David Bowie's music however he strongly disagreed with Bowie's wardrobe. He went on about how Bowie shouldn't have crossed dressed and how it was gay in a negative tone. Also just a heads up, if you want a cold pint of Guiness, don't come here (go to the Sham). I had been there for about 15 minutes and was halfway through one beer when a friend asks me to call the bar tender . My experience was great. I'm a USMC Vet, bartender was friendly. They have darts, pool tables, and a jukebox. I'm not sure about the prices but they seem fair. It's spacious inside and there's an outside patio. It's next to a dispensary and the staff and crowd there probably bounce back and forth from each other. I had a good time. Everyone was friendly. Very fun, very lively bar (especially on Friday and Saturday nights). Whenever I have company in town for the weekend I always take them to Jaspers. The beer/liquor prices are decently priced. Additionally, the bartenders are well staffed and very attentive. Went to this bar for a friends birthday while we were traveling here for business. We got some drinks and had a pleasant time with the friendly bartenders. I had to go to the restroom so I went to the only visible bathroom location, only to discover that they were both labeled as women's restrooms. At the time I assumed that this double women's restroom was sort of a progressive joke about bar restrooms where it's so difficult to use the restroom as a woman since there is always a line. On top of that both restrooms were obviously unisex since they were just single person restrooms with a toilet and a sink. At the time I actually really appreciated this about the bar. This was of course not really a surprise since many bathrooms in non-transphobic cities follow a similar unisex rule but still appreciated. I used the restroom leaving no mess (or anyone waiting in line) and went back to my friends. Then I was grabbed by a bouncer who physically threw me out of the bar. He explained that I was kicked out for using the women's restroom (a locked room with just me in it) and wouldn't hear anything against this with regard to my confusion that I hadn't even seen a men's only room. I just can't believe someone would be not only this tone deaf about bathrooms in this day and age but also so not understanding of a simple obvious mistake. What a stupid way to ensure you stop receiving business from people who regularly travel to Lompoc. read more

On a Saturday night in Lompoc [somewhere between Santa Maria and Santa Barbara], this bar may be the place to waste away a couple hours. Cheap, but strong drinks! I think we ordered three drinks [1 Guinness in a bottle, 1 Jack & Coke, and 1 Wild Turkey shot] for under $10. No beer on tap, sadly. Just bottles. Free popcorn too - hence the 3 rating. You get to hang out with the locals! Wear a helmet, however. There are two sides to this joint - crazy metal objects stuck to the ceiling of one, and then game boards and toys attached to the other. Should there be an earthquake during your late night revelry in Lompoc, you will be impaled! Death by Monopoly thimble! There are two pool tables, both of which you should try not to sit too close to. You will get poked. There's an old fashioned shuffleboard game - for the pieces, just leave your ID at the bar. read more

This place use to have quality and a warm feeling for being a neighborhood bar, but within the last year, this place lost all the uniqueness that once came. Firstly, they can hire better service. You hire security for the patrons safety, you don't hire them to harass your customers. Secondly, you can also hire better bartenders as well. Those two ladies (cows) you have behind the counter are the most obnoxious/rudest thing I have ever seen or heard. Definitely do not recommend this place anymore. When you live in such a small and isolated place, and Playboy magazine decides to recognize a local dive bar--you must visit it! My roommate and I went in on a very early Saturday evening (about 5pm) and grabbed a beer before dinner. It was pretty quiet except for the jukebox (new jukebox, even had Foster The People!).
