This was hands down one of the coolest hotels I've stayed in, probably in my lifetime. While in town for business and unsure where to stay I came across the Wine Stone Inn while doing a search on Yelp. Let me tell you, this was one of the coolest hotels ever. From the check-in to the complimentary happy hour drinks, the cleanliness and the comfort of the bed this place is the bomb. On top it's super quiet at night and I also had one of the best sleep ever. The complimentary breakfast bar was also a nice touch and I can't wait to come back here again soon!!

The service is top notch. I don't frequent here often this is my 2nd time however, I was helped by Kaitlyn and she really made my experience a great one! Never left my glass empty and the complimentary cheese plate was a treat. I would come back for the atmosphere but most importantly the service.

I found this while planning to stay in the Santa Maria area. I was very excited to come and have the mountain view as I was having my morning coffee since I was going to have a super early checkout. I guess I did not get to enjoy either one. I checked in few minutes prior to 5 pm, and they usually have happy hour from 3-5 PM. for some reason, front desk took time to explain things which is pretty much common sense. Anyways it was around 5:02 when he finished talking and I guess too late for the happy hour. so that wasn't honored. However I was offered their welcome drink which was great! I liked their touches in the room, the snacks, drinks and personal message that was left in the basket. They have Netflix and Amazon which I thought it was great. Bed was really comfortable, they had plenty of towels in the restroom The reason for the 4 stars is for the location of my room. When I contacted them, they said because it was booked through third party and I chose "ADA" room which I don't recall doing, but I was also told that it might have been the last room available and had to take it. In addition, it was too pricy in my opinion, honestly I booked it seeing the mountain view and I was disappointed but did not realize that till the morning as I was leaving and saw other people at the Inn sitting in their balcony. Their coffee is also bad! it was watery. I saw another person staying there that commented on that and how he enjoys staying here but has to leave to get his coffee from Starbucks. Breakfast was not bad, had muffins and cheese Danish, some strawberries, yogurt, juice. Overall, not bad experience, I may stay here again but would not pay that amount to be looking at cars from my room

Little gem of a boutique hotel tucked in charming little Old Town of Orcutt amidst rolling hills about 2.5 hrs from the greater Los Angeles area. Very peaceful and serene with crisp air due to proximity to the ocean. The room is very nicely decorated and appointed with plush bedding and velvety soft heavy robes provided for the guest's pleasure while chilling on the balcony sipping coffee or the welcome drink. Guest may choose from a variety of welcome drinks that include beers on tap, wine, and bubblies accompanied with light snacks of cheese, almond, and fresh strawberries. There's also a gift basket in the room stocked with curated tasty snacks some from local places nearby. The receptionist Tracy is very welcoming upon check in and Jennifer from the bar is also very nice making us feel comfortable and relaxed. There are a few eateries nearby within easy walking distance or you can order delivery for late night dining as well. Being about halfway between the Bay Area and where we live in SoCal, this place is definitely on our go to place to stay the night (our home away from home) while road tripping. Keep up the great job, Wine Stone! Until next time!

Never would I normally stumble through Orcutt, but we met some friends and they invited us out. We booked the Wine Stone Inn without knowing anything about the inn, hotel, or area and we were extremely impressed. For being a small town, there isn't much, but this inn delivers in a big way. From the welcome basket, the staff being friendly, and the happy hour in the bar with AYCD wine and craft beers, it's hard to say no. The location is off the main street, but far enough where it's very quiet. We can't wait to come back and stay here again.

They have the most welcoming staff and environment in my opinion. You can sit outside on a beautiful day with an amazing view of the Orcutt hills but you can also enjoy the same view from inside too as there are so many windows.

Wine Stone Inn is a Boutique Hôtel...Well worth the stay. Friendly, amenable, thoughtful service and staff. Comfortable, clean, well appointed room that has useful gadgets such as Keurig, Imagine 1Steamer, cork screw, Bordeaux wine glasses.  Ecologically friendly large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the bathroom so that small polluting plastic bottles are eliminated.  Complementary Goodie Basket of local beef jerky, cheese, crackers, potato chips, water. Bathrobes to lounge in.  Breakfast menu in room is well thought out where you can pick items the day before.   Flute of sparkling Spanish Cava at check in.  There is also complimentary late afternoon Happy Hour beverage & tiny nosh in their guests' only bar lounge during Covid restrictions which was in effect February 2021.  The gigantic strawberries which were part of breakfast are grown by a local farmer whom I met while checking in and filling out the next day breakfast menu at the bar adjacent to reception. He generously gave me a sample as we talked about local places to visit.  They hold a fun "wine bingo" for all the guests & customers where if you win, you can get a glass of wine. I won and got to opt for the wine at breakfast the next day.  Bar Lounge has notable local wines to imbibe as well as purchase. I was able buy the vaunted Presqu'île Pinot Noir 2017 at the bar without having to go to the trouble of making a hard to get reservation and driving to the tasting room even if I could get it on such short notice.  Wine Stone has a system where they can extract a glass of wine while keeping the wine bottle corked so you can take the undrunk portion home for later enjoyment and minimal degradation of the quality of wine in the bottle. Very Short walk to Old Town Orcutt Village for good eating and drinking. Rather semi rural setting where I heard frogs while I sat in my mini patio at dusk.  Nearby Hitching Post for Santa María red oak bbq, wineries to visit as well as short day trips to the blue Pacific Ocean beaches, charmIng San Luís Obispo, and all points around the Santa María Valley.   Only glitch was the trash truck that comes to pick up the metal trash bin on Marcum Street that came crashing down midmorning near my room which woke me up from a  previous night's wine induced slumber.   5 stars

My husband described what he looks for in a beer and without missing a beat, he recommended two perfect picks -- Peaches and The Able. Both were spot on. That kind of attentive, knowledgeable service is rare and it made the whole experience. My husband loved it so much that we stopped back on our way home to grab a growler and a 4-pack to bring to his dad. That says it all. We'll absolutely be back.

We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza which was surprisingly delicious and the wife ordered a beer. We sat in the bar area and I decided to go with the self pour option where they give you a card to tap a sensor and select any beer on tap to pour yourself. Me and a buddy of mine had some issues with a few of the self pour taps where we just believed they were out of beer and it also over charged us. I told a server about my single issue where it over charged me and he said he would take care of it but my friend had the worst of luck. 2/3 beers he attempted to pour were simply out. This was when Jess, our savior came to the rescue. When it was time to pay the tab, she comped both of our orders. Mind you, I had 4 beers. Guess what the total was? Yeah, $28. Paid for my wife's beer and our pizza and because I had a single complication with the beer self pour station, she comped the 4 beers I had as well as my friend's order. This is Grade A customer service and a reason why I'd return to Blast 825 Brewery, so shoutout to Jess! We all appreciate you.

It took 25 minutes to be asked what we were drinking, and another 20 minutes for two beers to arrive Food Quality Issues: The food served was of low quality, specifically corn rib appetizer were ice cold , the tri-tip was very over cooked and was difficult to chew. My wife ordered the orcutt hill salad entree. The salad was missing two ingredients. Prosciutto and candied pecans. When asked about it the waitress said I will bring you some. She brought a cup of smoked ham, not prosciutto. She indicated that the kitchen was out of candied pecans. Don't you think that should be disclosed to the customer before ordering ? The salad was small, not an entree size. When we asked about seeing a manager, we got a bill with a neighborhood 15% reduction. When asked about that, I was told, that's all the manager is willing to do. Really ? I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future guests. The room itself was expanded some years ago but the original design was by a very famous designer of the 1940s who also worked on Hearst Castle and the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel. You can guess where the original footprint was expanded as there are several historic photos of the room hanging on the walls. If you sit near the fireplace or in one of the old booths, you can still imagine you're imbibing in the 1940s pub-like tavern of 80+ years ago. Almost didn't come here as thought we'd end up with the same... Upon walking in we were greeted by hostess right away asking if we wanted to dine in bar, dinning room or patio. It was a nice night and contemplated patio but the bar lounge area looked inviting and chose the space with hair on hide backed booth and comfy chair. I settled in the corner booth, it was so comfy. Such a nice treat from the night before on hard wooden chairs at that other place... Our waitress was so nice and friendly. She was slammed but very attentive. Sitting back and watching the very busy bar, you saw locals coming and going and staff knowing them all. So encouraging. We settled in on the Bullseye, the largest version aka Ribeye and shared it. I went ahead and added an extra salad for me and just shared the rest of sides. Comes with a shrimp cocktail with the babiest shrimp, I've never seen them that tiny. I don't rate sea food so I just watched. The hubs likes sea food but prefers fried shrimp. He ate a few bites but again it's not really his thing. I got the side salad with ranch and he got clam chowder. He loved his clam chowder. I was pleasantly surprised at the mixed green salad. Everything was great! Steak cooked perfectly with great taste and tender. Baked potato was so good. The beans had a great taste, I'm not a huge bean person but something was up and I enjoyed a few bites and two slices of bread drenched in the bean gravy juice, so good! I asked for a side of chimichurri sauce (saw it on the menu), I used that for my steak and it was a great flavor adder; it didn't need it I'm just a sauce condiment person. We were stuffed but I decided to get dessert to go. Settled on the flourless chocolate mousse cake. Before leaving notice a couple tables over had what looked like a chocolate cake square with ice cream on top. I was hoping that wasn't what I ordered... because I was expecting more torte/mousse. Upon arrival at our RV I checked and yes I got what I was expecting! Even stuffed I just had to have a bite, OMG! So amazing. The slice of mousse cake/kinda like a soft torte came with fresh raspberries, strawberries and mint. A bite of that chocolate with a berry was heaven! The restaurant has such a great feel, think decor you'd find at ranches in Texas, plush seating, cattle pictures. We felt at home and can't wait to come back. Planning on the hubs getting his chowder us sharing beef skewers and a twice baked potato. He might just get two bowls of chowder! Then more dessert as they have a pastry chef on staff who likes to change up offerings.
