My husband had this brewery bookmarked for our drive up the coast, and it absolutely delivered. This place has such a great vibe -- cozy, lively, and full of people genuinely enjoying themselves. They don't serve food, but they welcome you to bring your own, and there's a food truck plus restaurants right across the street, so you're covered. The real highlight was the bartender. My husband described what he looks for in a beer and without missing a beat, he recommended two perfect picks -- Peaches and The Able. Both were spot on. That kind of attentive, knowledgeable service is rare and it made the whole experience. The beer is mediocre at best and the customer service has gone way down hill. Old town wine and brew next door has a far superior selection of premium beer and wine with way better service. I only came to naughty oak to get my daughter a root beer yesterday afternoon and the older blonde lady yelled at us to get out because I happened to be holding a beer from the place next door. Their sign says do not bring wine from next door. They should make it say do not bring beer OR wine from next door, especially if their staff is rudely yelling at paying customers to leave over it. I also recommend they train their staff how to properly handle a dispute with a customer. I spent alot of money at this place over the years, but thanks to the older blonde lady with the attitude problem, they will not be getting any business from me or my people anymore. read more

Came here on a Friday afternoon. Everyone was so friendly. Being we just moved to the area we are in need of a kid friendly brewary and we felt good here. Also had a diverse selection of options including wine and seltzer cocktails. Folks working through place were very friendly as well as the patrons. Plenty of seating inside and outside. I love you guys and I'm not a big reviewer. I would give you 5 stars, but I'm leaving 4 because of your employee, the blonde girl who tonight 9/25/25 is wearing a Dodgers jersey. We're regulars - come at least once a week - and EVERY time I see her, she has a horrible attitude. I don't know if it's personal bc I see her interact nicely with some other people, but she always looks annoyed when my husband and I come in. We're always nice, we always tip 25%, we bus our own glasses and clean up any trash 100% of the time. We get the same beers, we never ask for anything.... We were considering becoming members.... we have great interactions with every one else but there's something up with her! Tonight I asked for a couple plastic cups for water and she gave them to me with the lids but no straws... the straws were right there across the counter and she moved on to another guest... so I just grabbed a couple so I wouldn't bug her. She turns toward me and practically scowling at me tells me "next time just ASK". WOW. That was just the last straw (pun intended) for me. We love you guys but won't be returning. Your employee is extremely rude and has almost no customer service skills. And I've worked in restaurants my whole life. Hope you talk to her so she doesn't scare away business in the future. Naughty Oak is for everyone. They have: coffee, soda, tea, beer, seltzer, and seltzer cocktails. On some nights, food trucks provide the opportunity to grab a bite to eat, otherwise there are restaurants nearby that you can order takeout and bring in. Here's what I enjoy the most though! They have the best trivia night on Wednesday. A lot of people participate, it is challenging, and a great way to break up the week. If you're not into that though, the beer is great, the staff is great, and the food trucks are great too. This one is pretty straight forward. It's a brewery so little things to really critique here. Beer selection is great and, actually, their flights are very affordable with generous pours. Overall they were great. The hard seltzer was tasty but not too strong. I didn't try the flavored ones as you needed to buy a pint but the base one was great. Their chela was nice. Not the best mexican lager i've had but a solid pick, if you're looking for a light beer. The staycation was quite tasty and a good summer choice to sip on, on a warm day. Lastly, the humulomongous was probably my least fav. If you like a lot of hop flavor then this will hit the spot. a few years ago this would be great but unfortunately the hops are too much for me now, still a solid choice for IPA fans. Service was friendly and the whole place has a very welcoming vibe. We were there on a day that Feed My seoul was outside and the beer went great with the korean bowls. Lot of food trucks park in front of the brewery and they also have menus from other local places to order food from. These were the 2 beers we got on our pitstop at Naughty Oak (the Hop Passport brought us here) and they were some of the best beers we had out of the 6 breweries we tried that weekend. Great beer from a local brewery. I was pretty impressed by the selection of beers so I had to order a flight ($8). I think this is the first brewery I've been to offering hard seltzer on tap and the Passion Orange Guava was a great flavor! The Staycation was good but wish the mango flavor was stronger. Crew Dragon was a solid hazy and the Humulomongous was great but hard to pronounce when ordering haha. Overall, good beer, good prices, lots of outdoor seating and free street parking. It wasn't that you advertise food till 10 o'clock and you guys shut down at nine o clock no food it was the grouchy hairy man behind the counter tried to tell me how to drink my beer. He said I drank my beer to fast it was so good. I explained to him I wasn't driving. He said that doesn't matter. He said I'm allowed to drink beer there. I'm just not allowed to get drunk there. We love our local brewery. They are innovative in their brewing, but keep tried and true favorites on tap. The food trucks and events make them a great place to spend time. We always try to grab the booths near the fire (there are two booths with fire pits). The booths are large and can fit 8 people comfortably. Naughty Oak just opened and appropriately, is all clean & shiny inside. Not a huge place but a nice bar and several tables make for comfortable beer drinking. We did a few racks of tasters and here's what we thought: Chela Mexican lager, clean crisp with just a hint of bitterness, very refreshing, great on a hot day. Ramsay altbier, clean yet full flavored, not overly malty, a solid beer for sure. Naughty Light session IPA. OK, but sessions can be better. The Able. Central coast IPA. Good IPA showing some hop aromas and decent hop flavors with a bracing but not overwhelming hop bite. The Anthony Hopkins IPA more intense hop florals and a decidedly more hop bite. Might be too hoppy for some but hop-heads should start here. The Willing DIPA the best of the IPA line up. Very nice indeed. Will get this one again. Americano coffee brown. Very serviceable brown with distinct but not overpowering coffee flavors, really good beer. Castaway coconut stout. This beer rocks. Normally the coconut gets totally overdone on these kind of beers but these guys nailed it. Rich, stout with a hint of something good, you might not even guess coconut if they didn't tell ya. Overall Naughty Oak is a great little brewery and I will happily come back whenever I'm in town. They are still pretty new so I hope they will start getting a bit more creative as they are more established and I look forward to tasting here again. read more

We ordered the sampler with the Bee-R (wheat), Le Tombeau (Belgian blond), Castaway (coconut stout), and the Salty Dog (nitro dry stout) We both really loved the Le Tombeau and thought the Coconut stout was great. Naughty Oak is one of my favorite breweries in Santa Barbara County. They are Santa Barbara beer scenes' best kept secret (shh don't tell)! They do small batch brews with a lot of fun flavors and different takes on the classics. My all time favorite is their 'castaway' which is a coconut stout. I also enjoyed the mango blonde. They have an awesome front patio with games and blankets if you want to get cozy.
