We participated in the cocktail making class for Valentine's Day and it was a BLAST! Thank you Sarah and Marco for having such a beautiful place. Gluten free options and snacks were a great touch. Love Batman, the welcoming dog. Had to pet the pigs and goats too. Such a cute place and amazing drinks. 10/10 recommend

No food was served. The spirits served during our tasting, that was a great experience. The service was fantastic, the owner told us the history of how 12 rock distillery came about. I loved hearing the story and the locals, raved about how much they love coming to the tastings, how long they've been coming. I love the dedicated customers, they are the added flavors to the restaurant that makes it more interesting to come back. The Ambiance, is so pretty, the scenery of the mountains and the grape vines and the beautiful barn of the vineyard next door. The country feel, yet vibrant feel. We'll be back, were now members of the distillery. That should tell you how good it is, if you come in as a customer to just taste, and leave a member of the distillery to taste monthly spirits.

We have been wanting to try Rock 12 since it opened and as Santa Barbara's only field to glass distillery, it did not disappoint! The first thing you see when you park is the farm animals - the cutest baby goats and piglets - so sweet! The tasting room looks out onto the little barn and has gorgeous views. There were some bar stools inside but how can you resist patio seating in a gorgeous day! We tried the tasting menu and everything was so unique and flavorful, plus o love that all of the fruit is grown onsite, from vodka made out of grapes to the apples in the brandy and quince made into a delicious liqueur. We took home a bottle of the Coffee Liqueur (espresso martinis) and Quince Liqueur for a new take on hot toddy's. They also have a specialty cocktail menu that we'll be back to try soon!

Really unique and cool experience at Rock 12! This boutique distillery is situated in a rustic farm setting in the middle of wine country (Santa Rita Hills). We made an appointment and visited mid week...it was quiet and we basically had a private tasting with Marko who is the Distiller and partner with his wife Sarah. In addition to all of the interesting spirits that they make: Gin, Vodka, Quince Brandy just to name a few, they also craft super cool cocktails! All the fruit and other ingredients are actually grown and produced on the farm. Highly recommend packing a picnic lunch and stopping in for a cocktail or spirits tasting while out in wine country. Highly suggest calling ahead for reservations. 10/10 experience!

I have driven by the spot so many times and finally got to try it today! We went in on a Saturday at 1:30 and it was easy to immediately access the bar/ snag a table and sit down. The bartender helping us today is one of the owners and her husband makes all of the alcohols. She was so friendly and answered all of our questions. They have some really unique options. The tasting is $15 and allows you to try 3 different alcohol options and then choose a cocktail. I tried the Serrano vodka, hibiscus vodka, and coffee liqueur. I ended up choosing the hibiscus mule for my cocktail and it was so good! I was able to taste the Quince, which my husband sampled and then ordered the Quince Toddy cocktail with. It was so incredibly good. Highly recommend. We ended up taking a bottle home with us. The setting is gorgeous sitting amongst the hills and amidst farms. I had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back! Their tables are only outside, so plan accordingly if needed!

There's a pasture of baby goats and a world-class view right behind me

Visiting this operating farm distillery in the Santa Ynez Valley is a MUST! The experience is plush with innovation and an original vibe. Sarah and Marko distill on property and are happy to describe the process. If they're not around, Carlos steps in with his own charm and style. For less than the average tasting fee, you get three little spirit samples, then they create a craft cocktail for you to enjoy while watching their baby goats play. The cocktails are delicious, fresh, and you can tell they're made with love and experience. Go support this family business and grab a few bottles. They give you the cocktail recipes too, so you can make them at home.

This is an amazing addition to the area! We called 10 mins before closing to see if they could accommodate us as we saw it when driving past and they said yes, come in, we would love to host you! The owners were pouring and were so friendly! The tasting was awesome followed by craft drinks. We all bought a bottle (or 2), scheduled a return in a few days with our whole group and a return with a very large group in a few weeks- all for staying open an extra 30 mins and being amazing! The coffee & quince were my favs, but honestly all of the tasters were great- even the gin for this non gin drinker! They were great with having the kids too and the atmosphere was awesome!

    The view.

Rock 12 Distillery is such a great little place. The owner Sarah greeted us with open arms and shared her handcrafted spirits with us. We tried the vodka, gin and coffee liqueur. She made us superb drinks of our choosing and it was so delicious. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing this great addition to Lompoc.

    Expresso martini

Please make this a must stop when you visit Buellton. Only 3 miles out on 246 and it's a hidden gem! Sara - the host and farm owner is knowledgeable and lovely to visit with, as she explains each spirit. We will be back soon for another Expresso martini.

Enjoyed a beautiful Monday of tasting & cocktails. The owner was delightful & the spirits were too . This is a great alternative to traditional wine tasting . Expect to learn , soak in the farm beauty & be wowed by a craft cocktail.

We happened upon this sweet spot, quite unexpectedly, on our way to Solvang. Great place to taste or enjoy a unique and delicious cocktail. The owners are super friendly and what a beautiful setting. We can highly recommend a stop for a drink and fresh air with nice views.

Some of the best craft cocktail I have had the privilege of enjoying!

This location is in the heart of the Funk Zone near the pier in Santa Barbara. When we approached the location, we saw that they were only offering drinks outside on the patio- as the temps were ok on Saturday in early September, we felt ok sitting on a small patio on lounge chairs with relaxing music in the background. The patio is in the back of Cutler's that can be entered around the corner (map on the front door of Cutler's shows the directions). The patio is next to other tasting room patios featuring wine and next door to Lark's restaurant. When we visited the tasting room at about 3pm in the afternoon, we were the only individuals there but started to fill up with other small groups. When a large group entered, the waitress said you will need a reservation as she was only wait staff there. Perhaps a sign is needed to notify people, that groups need reservations. The drinks were spot on- the drinks started at 14 dollars to about 16 dollars for cocktails. The tasting room also offers tastings of their products too. The tastings looked small. The cocktails were well poured. I was just disappointed to find out that I could not get a Bloody Mary on a Saturday- only Sundays- the Bloody Mary looked really good. If you are done with wine, and seeking something different, come relax on the patio here if your vibe is a low key environment with solid distillery cocktails.

So I needed to find a place that would not give me grief for look at me sideways because I had my girl with me and then I thought about rotten hammer. Literally around the corner from the airport with food and all sorts of spirits. Plus, soft drinks if spirits aren't using. I hadn't eaten there yet for lunch, so I thought we tried it out. I got the Everything salad. An added chicken. It was a good size, but it just for me didn't have much flavor. It left my taste buds feeling kind of blah. My son got a turkey sandwich on a grilled ciabatta bread with fries. I looked up and down and it was gone. So his was good my Aussie girl got a burger patty. They do have dog meals there, but they didn't have any that day. I looked up and down, and her burger was gone. I guess she learned that from her brother. If you haven't been to Rod and hammers establishment yet, go there when it's not raining. You have a complete inside and you're fine from the rain. But if you go there when it's not raining, they have a great outdoor area to sit that has fireplaces and a cool sitting arrangement. You can get pizzas, pretzels, nachos, plus the food menu inside or outside. They have whiskey tastings, which are fantastic. I highly recommend trying one of those. When you're not the driver. . I recommend rod and hammers for happy hour and fun drinks. I'd have to go back and try some different items on the menu. I probably won't go back for a lunch unless I can get someone to split a pizza with me. The pizzas were good when I've been there for a happy hour. And so were the pretzels. I was so busy catching up with my son. I forgot to take pictures of the place. But I do have a picture of my really cute Aussie dog.

He gave us a tour of the distillery and all of the machines he uses and explained the processing for each spirit. As a plus they had food and happy hour! So the whiskeys were all good to me, smooth, and a couple were on the sweeter side with notes of caramel and vanilla. The rye was surprisingly one of the smother sweeter ones I tried. After the tasting I had the Matt Hattan which was delicious! My friend had the smokey old fashioned and after tasting mine he ordered a Matt Hattan as well after he finished his drink. I giggly recommend it. We ordered food and we didn't even know it was happy hour but they let us know that it was. The wings were REALLY good. Flavorful and still crispy. A $20 tasting got you a tiny pour of each in a whiskey cairn glass. Most bottles were $80 for 750 ml. One was $100 ( I forget which). It's a little pricey, but he's a one-man operation with none of the big distillery economy of scale working for him. Right now, he's emphasizing the tastings and the distillery-logo gift items, such as an engraved whiskey cairn glass (those are cool!) and assorted t-shirts. I'm glad I found this small local spot. I hope he grows enough to be able to try barrel-aging his stuff for longer periods. His products are pretty young, but definitely interesting. I'd be really excited if he were to try working with malted barley, too. However,I do understand that this is a small operation. The guy looked a little more tired and less chatty about his product than he was a couple of years ago. He might consider taking on someone to help with the tasting room pourings and talking to the public. I think he could use a bigger space, already. Parking in the lot in front of the restaurant is available. In a pinch, you can also park across the street and walk over. Be careful, traffic on Los Osos Valley Road is pretty fast.
