My first tasting with Turiya wines and it was the greatest experience I've had by far it's got great flavor and made perfect. I had the honor of meeting the owner for Turiya wines during my tasting and I have to say she is very kind ,outgoing, very knowledgeable which makes the whole experience much more worth it I've recommend this wine to a few Of my friends and not one of them had anything negative but all positive words to say! If your looking for a relaxed great atmosphere with good people and some of course really good wine I highly recommend Turiya wines you won't or leave disappointed but instead leaving happy and a few more bottles to go lol!!!! Thank you! I'll most definitely be back!

Great wine at great rates mixed in with the personal touch of professional Winemaker Angela Soleno's creations. During a private tasting, she not only gave a solid and understandable explanation of her specific process but also insists on trying the wine she serves her customer first to ensure top quality bottles from her batches

Angela's wines were amazing straight from the barrel!!

Cannot say enough amazing things about Angela and her wines. I wish I could give her more stars. We were wine tasting at Tyler wines yesterday and thats where we met Angela. Come to find out she was the owner and wine maker for Turiya. She invited us back to her tasting room and let me tell you, we had an amazing time! Not only is she an amazing person, but her wines are incredible. You can absolutely tell she puts her heart and soul into her wines and the process. She even let us taste wines straight from the barrel that are not going to be released until 2016. We will definitely be back to visit her and her wines! Cant wait for her next release!!

I truly enjoyed our visit with Angela at Turiya Wines. Angela the wine makers possesses a wonderful passion and patience for wines. The wines are barrel aged for three years the lay in bottle for a year before they are released. The Sangiovese was my favorite. If wine tasting in Lompoc this is a must stop. The is location charming, the wines are fantastic and Angela is a delight

My first ever wine tasting was at Turiya Wines and Angela has set the bar extremely high! She was so personal and made us feel so welcomed. The wine was amazing and the experience was even better. We will definitely be back!

It's the ultimate in a fully functional "backyard retreat" We brought our dog June, in an effort to give her June-cation deux. Recently her big brother Jackson had passed and she was left quite distraught. We figured a weekend out with numerous pets and lovers from fellow wine lovers would brighten her day. And boy did it. Montemar was a last minute addition to our schedule. We hadn't even planned on staying the night but did last minute when we found a great hotel deal that included dogs. I had been curious about the Lompoc wine scene for ages and this was the perfect opportunity. Lucky for us it was a quiet Sunday afternoon and June was given free reign of the backyard. We tasted a few flights and then opted to share a bottle of the Grenache blanc Pet Nat - perfect for a balmy Late fall afternoon. We loved the chill vibe here and would recommend to anyone with low energy pets. We can't wait to return and try out more wines and literally just chill and hang. It's such a peaceful environment for that!

However the service we received was unlike any of the other wineries we stopped at in the area. When we arrived at 3:30pm we were greeted at the door by a young woman who immediately told us that they would be closing at 5pm so we may not have much time for a tasting. An hour and a half isn't enough time for a tasting? After sitting in the large open tasting room, we engaged in conversation with her about the wines and the winery. When asked how she got into the business and started working at Hilt, she said she just wanted something that she didn't hate, and had applied for the job a couple months ago. When we asked about the white wine they had, she mentioned its tannins. Tannins in white wine? Given that we were only interested in trying the whites and the majority on the tasting menu were reds, we decided to try a glass of the white on offer instead of doing the tasting. The pour was about 2 ounces. It's too bad that the service was so impersonal and uneducated because the winery and the wines seemed so impressive. We would have loved to learn more but decided to cut our losses and leave.

The furniture and artwork were both stunning as well, definitely recommend sitting by the fireplace. Our host was lovely, knowledgeable, and super accommodating of the timing before our next reservation. She explained the wines perfectly and definitely got us thinking about the different tasting notes. We left with a few bottles of the 2005 Sangiovese, it was an off-menu recommendation from our host and this wine had an amazing aroma, didn't even need to take a sip to know how special it was (but obviously did)! All said, an amazing experience, beautiful wines, knowledgeable staff - definitely recommend!

Brian and Kimberly made us feel like royalty with six full tastings and a beautiful charcuterie tray. Everything paired well beautifully - the Chardonnay and Pinot Grigos were excellent. We bought six full bottles to take on our getaway to Cambria. The location in Lompoc is amazing with a huge warehouse, full kitchen, and comfortable tasting room. It is in an industrial park, but it is in a non-crowded area with lots of parking which is a huge plus. Yes, it is an hour out of the way from the 101, but it is a beautiful drive both ways and so worth the stop! Full disclosure - Brian and I attended junior and senior high together. But, honestly, he makes fabulous wine and has a state-of-the-art facility. Brian and Kimberly provide top-notch customer service and hospitality. I would recommend all of my friends stop for a fantastic wine-tasting experience. They have spoiled us for any other wine tasting!

Then, I mean, oh its flavors, they're just the most haunting and brilliant and thrilling and subtle and... ancient on the planet." --Miles, "Sideways" First, I must admit I don't really like Sideways. Miles is a boring drip and he doesn't really know as much as he thinks he does about wine. But I do love Pinot, and Loring makes two of my favorites from the Clos Pepe vineyard and from Garys'. Luckily, on a recent visit to their new location in Buellton, they had both the 2016 versions of these wines in half bottles, full bottle for Clos Pepe. Ive been an acquaintance of Brian's for 20+ years as he first sold his wines to a wine group I was part of back in the late 90's, early 2000's. Now I see him occasionally at a charity event I've gone to previously. I admire how he pursued his dream and became a Santa Barbara rock star. They do more than just Pinot, and this visit is also more than just about wine with lovely locally baked shortbread cookies to pair. You wouldn't think it, but it's a great choice. The new location is next to Industrial Eats restaurant and makes for a great combo visit of wine and food and cookies. I prefer the two pinots above, you might find other pinots, or the blends or the whites more to your liking. All at fabulous price points too. Highly recommended :-)

When they opened their tasting room earlier this year, I was eager to make a trip down. When reviewing a wine tasting room, it's sometimes hard to separate the review of the tasting room experience from a review of the wines. In this case, I'm happy to report that Liquid Farm does an amazing job on both! Yes, it's an odd place for a tasting room, but Lompoc isn't quite the wine tourist destination like Napa or Sonoma. If you're reading this post and thinking of visiting, it's likely that, like me, you're already a fan of the beautifully elegant, terroir-driven chards and pinots. A visit to the tasting room affords a rare opportunity to taste the different wines being made side-by-side. Tasting the "White Hill" chard next to the "Golden Slope" deepened my understanding and appreciation of the two immensely. Visiting the tasting room also gave me instant access to magnums I had never had a chance to purchase before! Brian was a terrific host to my girlfriend and I. He was super knowledgeable about the wines, history, and philosophy of LF. He was also knowledgeable about wines in general, and was able to relate all things Liquid Farm to the larger context of California and Burgundy. We spoke the same language, and I was grateful for the opportunity to learn so much more about the wines I'd loved for so long. Brian gave us a little tour of the production winery, and invited us to join the wine club. We couldn't resist! We joined the wine club, and bought a mixed case and a couple of magnums. As I understand, they're open to the public on Saturdays, and by appointment the rest of the week. Either way, it's prudent to call ahead. Just make room in your cellar first!
