I peeked in and it looked like a cool place. A few pool tables, jukebox, draft beer. Waited around for a few minutes and knocked on the door just to make sure no one was in.... nothing. After about ten minutes a guy who had been sitting in a truck nearby finally came up to open the place but by then I was already back on the bike and about to head out. If the management doesnt care enough to bother to open on time, I dont trust that they keep the draft lines clean or actually run a decent place. This sort of attitude tends to be endemic and pervades all other aspects of the bar. We have enough ghetto bars in Lompoc as is, so I'll just stick to my normal haunts I guess

The patio outside is also a great spot for larger groups or for some fresh air. Most recently came in for a round for my birthday and the staff having overheard as so were generously kind in fixing me with a birthday shooter with a candle and all which I did not expect. Shawna the bartender meticulously crafted a delicious shooter and the presentation was on point as well. Highly recommend visiting here. Great people all around!

The bar was getting sued and the waiver was now required. Seems like liability insurance might be the right approach. Because I trusted their word, I lost the window to just bite the bullet and make the hour drive to and from family. I had to book a second hotel out of pocket, stretching my budget in a way that was genuinely costly. All because a staff member couldn't simply say "I don't know" instead of giving me false assurances to get off the phone. This isn't a miscommunication. It's a lack of integrity. Do not rely on anything you're told verbally here and think twice before booking at all.

It was a light refreshing drink that provided a nice start to the visit. I got a second drink which was a mango beer that was on the menu. It was soo delicious. The ambiance of Bodega is really lovely. Although the sun was hot, there were plenty of tables with umbrellas to block out the rays. The staff were very nice and helpful as well. Overall, we had a really good time at Bodega. My mom and I even returned a couple of weeks later. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a laid back visit!
