OMG! You really call that a Caesar chicken salad? Very little chicken, old lettuce, white lettuce, including the butt end of the lettuce, less than 1 gram of cheese, many, many croutons. You charge $9.89 for that? The container was less than half full. Profit margin on that must be in the neighborhood of 2000% Caesar would be rolling in his grave if you served this to him or anybody, its a shame you use his name, for me this is a definite NO! Burgers are good, but please get out of the salad business, you don't know what you are doing! Yum! After a long construction shift, this place hits the spot. The food was ready quick, and was served hot. The French Fries and ranch are delicious, perfectly crunchy and not soggy. I like that they are a little bigger (but not quite a thick-cut fry). The burger is juicy and flavorful. Not so big that you can't get it in your mouth, but still sizable with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. The meal is very filling. I also tried the cookies and cream shake, which was very smoothie and creamy. I highly recommend sharing the shake with a friend! read more

5 Stars for The Habit - Chicken Club Surprise! Okay, real talk--I usually hit up The Habit for their burgers (because duh, they're fire), but this time I decided to live a little and switch it up. I ordered the Chicken Club sandwich without tomatoes, and let me just say... game. changer. That thing was delicious. Juicy grilled chicken, crispy bacon, melty cheese--it was like a little beachside picnic in every bite. I was halfway through it like, "Why have I not been ordering this all along?" The service? Fast and on point. No waiting around, no messed-up orders, just straight-up efficiency. The staff here is always friendly, welcoming, and somehow never look annoyed even when it's packed--respect. Also, can we talk about the lemonade? Tart, refreshing, and exactly what you want on a sunny day. I don't know what they're doing back there but I'd buy it by the gallon if I could. And shoutout to the beachy aesthetic inside the restaurant--clean, chill, and gives major good-vibes-only energy. I am a HUGE fan of The Habit and I think their burgers are on point. The interior included some modern paintings and plants. this gives out a somewhat tropical vibe. I stopped by his habit Burger Grill in Lompoc the other day for lunch. I've driven by it a couple times and finally decided to stop in this time. It's right by the Blaze Pizza. The store isn't huge but it's a decent size. When you first walk in the line starts on the left-hand side. And there is a menu board on top listing all the different menu items that they have. Usually I go with one of the charburgers but this time and went with the ahi tuna grilled sandwich. You get to choose what kind of bun you want to have it on. I also got a side of sweet potato fries. We have a lot of drink selections on the right-hand side they have lemonades, teas and a soda fountain machine. There tends to be a bottleneck near the drink station is only because there is an open space and people tend to wait around there while waiting for orders. I got my food a couple minutes after I ordered it. The Ahi tuna sandwich wasn't really what I was expecting. But all in all it was still good. It came with the teriyaki sauce on top lettuce tomatoes. I like had a bun was grilled so it added an extra texture with each bite. There's tons of parking in the plaza. It just took me a while to find because I turned a little bit too early and thought it was closer to where KFC was and the plazas are not connected. That's probably more of a tip for the out of towners like me. read more

Ordered the Cobb salad and wanted to sample another dressing besides ranch. The employee said they would have to charge me extra for that. I wasn't sure that I would like the other dressing, so I didn't want to pay. She refused to give it to me without an extra payment. Not sure why an establishment like The Habit would have to charge a customer extra just for a small container of dressing. I frequent The Habit in many different areas, and that was the first time I was asked to pay extra. It's usually not a good sign when restaurants have to charge for small items like this, so I'll not be returning to this one. read more

Not as clean as it used to be...food on the floor, tables always dirty despite not being busy. Not as friendly as they used to be here and the past two times we've been here we've said thank you to the cashier with no response. Kind of zombie-ish and barely pleasant. We used to love the salads but the price increase and quality decrease makes it not worth it to order. And honestly the burgers are tiny now. read more

I drive to Lompoc every two weeks for work and decide to give the habit a try. This location was open not that long ago maybe a couple of months ago. My burger was actually really good had great take and very cheesy. Place is really clean still looks new and service was friendly. Hope they keep up the cleanness and maintain it to stander. Went today because I heard they are apparently suppose to have some really good burgers. This is the perfect example why the Habit Burger still isn't in the same league at In-N-Out burger. While the habit burger comparison isn't exactly apples to apples, the Habit has a much more diverse menu. But with more options comes more opportunity to mess things up. This location has a lot to be desired. They don't offer the same drinks as other locations which is a bummer because that's one of the highlights of visiting this burger chain. Quality was also off here. I've never had a bun be burnt on the inside before, regardless of any chain. Everyone in our group had something a bit off or at least not up corporate standard. - This is still the best option after visiting the La Purisima Mission State Historic Park. Just don't expect your typical "Habit" experience here. Located next door to Chipotle as an alternative. read more

So, thanks for the rotting lettuce, chicken they looks like it was hacked by a two year old, and the brown slimy "avocado" that was an additional $1.50. A limited menu, but they do it right. A solid choice for a burger. Though they are grilled burgers, they don't have the delicious char broiled flavor of Eddie's, still a tasty and filling meal. Excellent crispy flavorful onion rings, a plentiful serving of fries served hot, and hot peppers available on the side. A bit loud with the high ceiling acoustics, but not as deafening as Eddie's. Over the past few weeks been experiencing a slow decline in service and food quality. I normally rave about this location but recently I got a salad that wasn't even edible. The lettuce was all wilted and slimy and today we ordered 2 Ahi Tuna Sandwiches and they had NO tartar sauce and dry AF. I asked for extra tarter sauce and I was told they were out but chalked it up to they just didn't want to give me any because the lady was rude but when I got home I found that my sandwich had NONE they must of really been out. What bothers me most is it was a Mobil order and they could have called me ahead of time to tell me they were out of tarter sauce, so I could have had the opportunity to order something else because I don't know about anyone else but I like my Ahi Tuna with a lot of tarter and had I know they were out I would of got a Santa Barbara Char instead!! Or at minimum notify customers online with an alert that they are out of tartar sauce when ordering anything that states it comes with tartar sauce. Very unsatisfied customer!! read more

A pleasant interior with a simple menu, marked with a delicious burger is the staple of a good restaurant. I ordered a burger fully loaded with fries and a Carmel shake. When in doubt and an area with not much else, The Habit is reliable in having great service and food at a reasonable price. I love their cobb salad and sub ahi for the chicken. The kids meals are generous, I love their fries and my husband enjoys their tri tip sandwiches or gets it on a salad. Burgers are good too, but I love that they offer more than just that, as well as having seasonal specials. The food is a bit healthier than most fast food, portions fair and prices great.
