I came in to buy a phone and have not done so in a couple of years, so I was unfamiliar with the new process. I had previously came from the New Haven Apple store earlier in the day, where the duo there was very much pushing me to buy the iPhone 16 (they were nice and it is their job, I get it). They did not have the phone I wanted in stock, so I tried my luck at the Trumbull Apple Store. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and set up with Isaac. I explained my phone situation at that time and I mentioned the phone I wanted and in what color. I asked a couple of questions and he had the answers! They had 1 left of the one I wanted in stock. He then asked for the authorization PIN to proceed with the phone activation, which I completely forgot about. As I took a few minutes to try and search my notes app for it, Isaac was very patient and when I mentioned I had no luck, he recommended trying out the T-mobile store on the lower level of the mall and that they could possibly help me get my pin. He said he would hold the phone and let the team members know of my situation, so that I could pick up where we left off, since he was leaving for the day. I thanked him for his help and ran to T-mobile. I came back, pin in hand, and Isaac had left, and they paired me with Wyatt. I let him know what happened and he was caught up from Isaac. I gave him my pin and was successful. He was kind and personable. There was no fuss and full transparency with Wyatt when it came to apple care and buying the charging block. The process was so easy it took about 10 minutes to get my new phone. I left with my new phone and two very nice interactions with two wonderful employees, Isaac and Wyatt! Today I visited the Apple Store at the Trumbull Mall and left smiling. I needed my iPhone's screen cover replaced, still under warranty. Store manager Chevonne went out of her way to make the process easier. While the new cover was setting, she shared a few Apple AI tips for iPhoto, one-on-one. I had purchased an I-phone on the weekend and was having difficulties in trying to transition my information from one phone to the other. My cellphone company suggested I go to the Apple store for a solution to my problem. In essence my contacts did not automatically transition over. I stopped in and immediately my temperature was taken. After speaking with the lady doing all the intake she suggested I should schedule a call from customer service (which I was able to schedule) instead of waiting for 2 hours. I went home and sure enough a customer service representative called me at the time I had scheduled, after troubleshooting for about 10-15 minutes the rep was able to figure out what was wrong and my issues were settled. Last night I got locked out of my IPhone, how is it that I couldn't remember my password is beyond me. I had to go to the Apple Store in Trumbull mall for help. Brian, my first Apple gave me instructions that locked me yet again. I'm at the mercy of these people so I went along to get along. I return after an hour with a smile again because I'm at their mercy. Dave H was now my IPhone representative. He asked me what was going on and immediately goes through the same steps the previous associate went through but this time HE locks my phone out for 24 hours. 24 hours!! Dave H, has some explaining to do because I was not going to be dismissed so easily this time. My First question to him: How did the 24 hour lockout happen? Why did the 24 hour happen? Didn't I fully explain to you the reason for my return appointment? Did you read the notes from the previous associate? Read to me what he wrote? So please explain to me how you locked me out my phone now for 24 hours?! I was sitting down smiling asking these question while this man was standing over me turning red. I'm sure my questions was uncomfortable, they should especially because he knew he F up! David H then began to raise his voice at ME? At MEEEE? What did I do or say? Lol Did I mention I was seated? Why did he start stuttering and began to raise his voice at ME? Ok, last hard question? Why are you raising your voice at me, NOW LOWER IT I said!! His defensive response was to move closer to me, lower his body to my seated position and ask why are you yelling at me, I'm just trying to help you! My response was, "Back up!" "Get out of my personal space!" This is me raising my voice (yup, I sure did get louder than him) Now get me your supervisor!" All while I was still seated being cute and acting like a lady lol. Security not a police officer, appears out of the corner where he was standing and follows Dave H to fetch his supervisor. Jess, appears and started out by asking me what was going on with my phone and IMMEDIATELY starts working on it. While she was working on my phone, Jess asked me what happened and my complaints was this: David didn't listen to me when I explained why I was back in an hour, he didn't read the previous associate notes, locked me out my phone for 24 hours which he then instructed me to return the next day, lowered his body to get in my seated position face to intimidate me and BOTH you reps LOCKED me out AGAIN. I further explained to her, being of opposite races and different genders, that's just not something a professional does at work. Also, WE ALL should be thankful that I said my prayers this morning because HIS actions are not acceptable in 2023. Yelp, do y'all understand what I mean by this statement? Seriously? End result: I respectfully requested Jessie review the video footage because I know Apple has cameras all around that store, even the sample electronics they have out are recording. I also requested that she PLEASE hold him accountable for being SO RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, RACIST AND DISCRIMINATORY towards me!! I'VE DEALT WITH PEOPLE LIKE HIM AND BRIAN BEFORE AND WE LOOSE BECAUSE WE LIKE TO SHOW YOU BETTER THAN TELL YOU HOW WE WONT STAND FOR IT ANYMORE NOT in 2023! However, maturity, prayers and learning to play the game is how I personally deal with HIS kind of ignorance. Came today to replace an IPhone... and I realized I never placed a review. I've been coming here quite a lot, cause I love Apple products. Mostly I'll come here to solve problems with the family devices. If it is an appointment I made online, or a walk in the service is always friendly and quick. The Genius Bar always does it best to serve my need, solve the problem, or give me good advice. Today I went to replace a phone Sprint said had no Apple care and would cost me $200 or less with a new contract. Apple told me differently and I walked out with a replacement phone for $99. I had my phone replaced due to a cracked screen. The technician employed by Apple was threatening me saying he didn't like how I was looking at his girl. When I left I received a message from Apple not even 5 minutes later saying my passwords and information on my phone was phished. After purchasing many apple products over the holidays for family members, I walked into the store for a simple car mount and ran into the most condescending Apple employee Herring could not have been more unpleasant if she tried. She claimed she was a manager. My suggestion is not to visit this store if this employee is working. The staff at this store are always nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. I came in with an issue in on my iPad Pro, and Alex at the Genius Bar helped me out and corrected the problem. The only negative part of my experience were the inaccuracies with wait times. I was texted that it was time for my appointment, but was informed that the store was at capacity. However, other customers were still walking in. Regardless, they got us in a few minutes later, and managers helped collect information so the appointment could run as smoothly as possible. As long as you make an appointment and show up on time, I can say that the staff here was incredibly helpful. I arrived to have my Apple Watch fixed because I couldn't get it paired to my iPhone or update. A tech went through the situation with me and let me know I did have a trade in value on this watch if I decided to upgrade. I attempted to make the update and repair while inside the store which took a few hours. While I was doing the update, I chatted with a sales team member and she answered questions not only about the Apple Watch but about some future products that I am looking to upgrade including my MacBook, and iPhone. She also showed me a demo of the new airtags. I was also told about the benefits of the Apple Card but I didn't feel like I was being pressured into signing up or purchasing anything. I was also greeted by several other team members during my time there who were also super friendly and helpful when I needed assistance. For these reasons, I will be back there when I am ready to upgrade my other devices. read more

Always hate having to come to an apple store but, by some twist of fate, my experience at this one was relatively smooth. Employees were super helpful and got me the MBP i ordered pretty quick. Bagged it up and I was out there in less than 5 minutes. Store wasn't as crowded as I expected it to be but employees were managing it well regardless. No annoying kids. The bag they gave me broke within 5 minutes of walking which was annoying but I went back and they gave me a new one right away. Could have been worse overall! read more

Then, another arrived for help with the MacBook. The Genius people believed I needed more help, so zip-a-de-dooda, a third person came over to facilitate my path to online access. I have mixed feelings about the product line they offer. Yes, I think the iPhone is the least bad smart phone out there. But iPads in all their variations seems to me to be pricier than android or windows based tablets, without greater functionality. And sometimes the " geniuses" outthink themselves, as in wireless ear buds. And the fact that the iPhone is put together in China really irks me. I would imagine that the Chinese have engineered some backdoor vulnerability in all of our phones and we will be hit with the mother of all cyber attacks. Just sayin'..... read more

Do not visit The Apple Store located in the Trumbull Mall unless you have time to stand around and waste. My wife and I went there knowing exactly what we wanted, we arrived at 1 PM on a Monday. Upon arrival we were told we needed an appointment, although there were many workers standing around clearly doing nothing. We were told the next appointment would be at 1:30pm, so we stood in the waiting area watching the employees in the store gathering together talking to each other. At 1:45PM an employee finally came over and called our name as being next. Once we were in the store and told her what we wanted after waiting for 45 minutes, we were told it was not in stock and could be ordered and will arrive by April 7th. If we knew what we wanted why wouldn't the person who made an appointment for us simply check their inventory to see if they had the product we needed? A few months ago the receiver on my phone stopped working. I tried getting help from callinf customer service on two occassions and failed to resolve the issue. Today, I came in to the genius bar to see if they could help. All along I was worried that any repair would cost a fortune. I get checked in and 15 minutes later, I was all set with my phone issue resolved....Free of Charge. Turns out the issue was minor but they ran the full diagnostic on the device anyway. Good as new!! I had a really good experience here. Made a reservation for my iPhone 5s that had the face plate coming right off its poor iPhone body. They diagnosed it an hour later with a swollen battery (!!) and offered me a new phone, because I was still under manufacturer warrantee. I'd stupidly never backed up, but gave them permission to try to repair the phone and risk losing all my info. Instead of doing that, they showed me why I was never able to back up and sent me home, telling me they'd hold my new phone for a week. I backed up (it took 7 hours) and returned to the store several days later-sans reservation. They set up my new (non refurbished) phone and everything magically appeared. I found the staff extremely helpful, friendly, and competent despite being insanely busy both times I was there. A couple tips--be on time for your reservation and be prepared to wait and meander around the mall. And BACK UP your device. It'll save time and peace of mind. I'm going to return with my notebook that won't turn on and maybe the Apple worker bees can help. read more

Are you kidding me? Turned our phone in to be serviced and we were given a loaner. The loaner wasn't working properly so we put it away in a safe place and left it there for two weeks. We went back to get our phone and our Genius told us that the loaner was bent and it was suggested that we had bent it. Fast forward to our Genius and a supervisor(?) further implying (but never directly accusing) that we had bent the loaner. Not cool. I understand that some people may have taken advantage of the Apple store loaner program in the past, but I was offended and pissed. Showed up 15 minutes early to my Genius Bar appointment to set up a new phone and was told they would get me in early. 40 minutes and two conversations with employees and management later, I learned that they cancelled my appointment because I checked in early. When someone finally tried to "help" me, he disappeared halfway through the process. Long story short, I left the store after 90 minutes with two phones that didn't work! Complete waste of my time!
