He is incredibly knowledgeable, remarkably patient, and has a wonderful personality that puts customers at ease. What impressed me most was his dedication to helping me resolve a very difficult situation. He worked tirelessly to secure a refund after I was affected by the fraudulent actions of a Verizon employee in Fairfield. Employees like Eli are rare. Staying in Fairfield and was not getting any bars. Could not make any phone calls.After getting the run around for 2 days with absolutely NO positive results (the agent said after 12 hours there would be an escalation regarding the problem) Does that mean the problem would fix itself ? NO ! The problem should be addressed immediately ! Especially that I am on oxygen 24/7 and if I have an emergency, I need a phone ! After talking to a few neighbors ,they also had no bars, they told me to put my phone on wifi calling and it would work. Why didn't the agent tell me that? This is Fairfield Ct. not some wilderness area. It seems Verizon could care less as this problem has existed for quite some time. They love taking your money though. Horrible service. The sales team misleads by quoting inaccurate Verizon pricing. When I received my bill for $20 more a month than quoted by rep, the rep and manager wanted nothing to do with me or the issue. Verizon customer service placed inquiries into the issue and said it would take 2 weeks. Why would customers go through this process for a phone? This store takes advantage of people and have no client service. Do not buy any accessories from them - overpriced and bad quality. I will never recommend Verizon or Cellar Sakes to anyone. I really had a very bad experience at the Verizon Retail Store situated in the Big-Y plaza Shelton. Generally I do not write bad reviews, but this is so bad and unprofessional that I feel the need to share my experience with our community. Upon receiving a promo email from Verizon, I went to the above Verizon store to find the details and willingness to switch from T-Mobile to Verizon. The Sales Person made multiple errors and tricked me. Some of the errors are as followed: 1. He charged $140 for phone syncing and never revealed this to me. All he said was that I will be paying phone taxes that day. 2. There were added activation charges that I had never agreed for. 3. I had agreed for $35 per line for the plan, however, he put me on a $55 plan per line. 4. The biggest mistake was that he had quoted me a value of $3200 in return for exchanging in me 4 phones. On my account I only see a return of $953. 5. He put me on a phone protection plan that I denied and had to call Verizon to remove it. He quoted me an approximate number of $184 per month for 4 lines. After switching to Verizon, I am seeing my new monthly bill as $300 per month. This is a contract for 30 months. I am extremely enraged. Now when I try to talk to this person, he is not able to explain the invoice difference. I asked for the store supervisor's number, but he denied his number and said that he will call me instead. I tried talking to someone else in this store but no one had any interest in my case. Til this day, after three weeks, I am still waiting for a call from the store supervisor. This store has deceptive sale practices, non truthful, and horrible customer service. There is no-one to escalate the issue in the store. This makes this store a big no on my end. I will not be recommending to go to this store to anyone. Went to business on 5/15 to transfer business line to personal line. Order phone and watch which was to arrive in a couple of days Went to pickup phone 5/22 and total amount seemed different than the numbers should have been. Sales reps said it is because I am still charged sales tax for full amount of the phone and watch. I asked for a receipt and was told that he will send to email. I get home and check receipt and the sales Tax excuse was not true and that I was charged 70 dollars to setup both devices. I told the sales person that I can just do it when I got home but he assured me he can just do it quickly. I was never told that this was something I needed to pay for. Once again I had asked why the numbers didn't align. I am now curious to see what other lies there was. I notice that the plan I am enrolled in is not the same as the one which I requested, Additionally I was being charged double the amount for the watch service. When I returned this morning 5/23 I was not treated very well by manager and he called sales person who proceeded to lie and say that he told me about all of the fees. I then said to return everything to which they charged me a restocking fee and I have yet to receive my trade ins back. I never signed anything that said I would not be given my trade ins back. I ordered an iwatch at the Verizon store in Shelton. The sales person I was dealing with took the order and told me that the watch was activated and it would be there in 2 days. About 30 minutes after I left the store I got a voice message saying there was a glitch and the watch wasn't activated so she asked for permission to access my account again which I granted. I got a text message from her that everything was all set now. The watch comes in and I go to pick it up and she wasn't working. The salesperson who was there told me the watch wasn't actually activated and he could not activate the watch because he couldn't get into her account to activate it. I asked if the manager could do it, I mean there has to be some kind of supervisor on site with access to do it. I was told there is no manager there or even in the region....how can this be? On top of it all. I am told that I am not even allowed to take the watch out of the store with me, even though it's already been added to my account. Then I call Verizon to cancel the whole order because I am fed up at this point and I am told that I will actually have to go to the store to cancel the order. Awful experience AGAIN! The Salesman was unable (unwilling) to determine why by 2 month old phone was not working and instead tried to pressure me into purchasing a much more expensive phone. I went to have my phone repaired elsewhere and found that the inept Verizon salesperson had removed the SIM card tray and did not put it back in. I called Verizon and they were completely dismissive and told me to buy a new on on Amazon! Went in specifically for an iPhone 7 to replace my six. Sales associate "Angel" didn't ask about my needs or anything about me but immediate launched into trying to sell me a Moto. Even after I repeated several times that i want an iPhone he persisted, saying things like even though this (negative thing about iPhones) and even though that. Clearly there was some sales objective for this Moto phone I didn't want. After I got him to understand I only wanted an iPhone, he said they have no sevens. I said how about a 7plus. Not in stock. How about an 8. Nope. He told me i will Not find a seven anywhere. At that point i stood up to leave as he continued to try and sell me a different phone and appeared to be snickering as he warned me i would not get the phone i wanted that day. The worst. This store is not owned or run by Verizon. Wish I knew that before I bought my phone there. 4 trips and multiple calls to get my phone and bill straightened out. I was lied to about costs. They tried to give me a free hotspot device. The problem is its not free. 40 dollars on next bill and 10 dollars monthly for 2 years. Promised me a 200 dollar visa gift card at end of transaction. Had a really bad experience here recently. Customer service is terrible, all the staff have an attitude. My old phone was quickly dying and I went here to help. I was asking some questions of things I didn't understand. I had alot of questions and concerns about my old phone which was on a lease, and they said the only thing I could do was to lease a new phone. He started talking to the other store workers and laughing at me because I was confused and didnt know what to do. In the middle of the sale, the salesman asked for my drivers license but wouldnt return it after I decided not to buy the new phone. The salesman was getting mad at me and we couldnt get any sale accomplished. All they want to do is sell you a new expensive phone and take your money. Awful customer service! I ended up leaving Verizon altogether and not getting an iPhone because of the horrible treatment at this store. Not what I wanted to do but was left no other choice. Stay away from this store and the "Switch" plan. I switched from Sprint to Verizon back in March 2016 because I was able to get a better bundled package than what Sprint was offering at the time. We spent over 2 hours at the store making the switch, buying phones, completing paperwork etc. I have since been back to the store 2 more times (providing all the necessary paperwork a total of 3 times) and on the phone with customer service several times trying to resolve the reason Verizon is not upholding to their Switch plan offer. My last Sprint bill (which includes the cancellation fee and buy-out of the phones) has now gone into collections because Verizon has not upheld to their Switch Plan agreement. I was AGAIN back at this retailer this past Saturday (May 28, 2016) for close to another hour going over EVERYTHING AGAIN to be told the sale rep had to open a ticket to find out what the hold-up is. He was to call me on Tuesday which he never did. Just called again to find out the status and was told by the same sales rep that he is still waiting to hear from whomever as to the status. I was a customer of Sprint for over 20 years with never a problem but switched to Verizon because I would save a few dollars each month....wish I never did.
