I used to go to this store all the time. The staff was professional and helpful. That is no longer…read morethe case. I had an awful experience there this week. The person who waited on me was rude and arrogant. Worse customer service I've experienced anywhere. I had an issue afterwards that I needed help with and took it to the Orange store where the representative was courteous, polite and efficient. I don't understand why the woman in the Shelton store still has a job.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. I went to buy a new iPhone, and they lied, saying I had to buy extra…read moreinsurance even though I had a family plan. Another store affirmed that I didn't have to buy this extra insurance. I only shopped here because it was the only store with an iPhone 16 in stock and I needed it desperately for work. This may be part of a commission grab. I bought the phone and paid the double insurance fee and then I went to another store the same day where they reversed the charge. I told Victor, the manager, that I'd be writing this comment and as I left he said: "Get the f#* out of my story you f#*ing idiot. And don't come back." This is a third-party vendor and I've been scammed by these kinds of AT&T stores before. Go to a corporate store in Orange, Fairfield, or Trumbull instead. To be fair, this might be a larger corporate problem. In doing a little investigation I found that these stores and managers do have quotas to fill. One comment in a Reddit post (see link below) stated that "The real issue is corporate requiring certain metrics and numbers be hit. When stores fail to meet those, they get punished in some way. So, instead of missing, they invent ways to meet them." I have contacted the FCC and BBB. https://www.reddit.com/r/ATT/comments/mhhtyd/required_insurance_when_purchasing_and_upgrading/ Has something like this happened to you? Tell us about it.

I always ship to my home but decided to pick up in store because I will be out the country on the…read moredelivery date. I went to pick up and instead of just scanning my ID and giving me my purchase they started questioning me about what I'm doing with the phone and demanded the trade in device and I had to tell them multiple times I just want to pick up my order. They asked me what I'm doing with the device and assumed that I was going to ship it overseas asking me where am I shipping it to saying "oh I thought you were shipping it to someone somewhere overseas". I said it's my account and I purchased the phone for me. I don't understand why it's any of their concern because I did my upgrade and paid for it online I was simply there to pick it up. I watched him scroll through my account for a few minutes which he wasn't supposed to do. While questioning me they still did not give me my purchase. Then asked again "you don't want me to activate your phone?" I said no then asked again "do you know how to do it yourself" I was now fed up and said I've been with t-mobile for over 20 years I know how to activate and ship back a device. It was the most uncomfortable experience. They treated me like a scammer.
