The young technicians at this AT&T store are fantastic ! They have been incredibly helpful for me, and the last reviews seem to be from a long time ago so disregard those. I've been there twice in the last sis months and everything went smoothly. I will say that given the complexities of their jobs, you must allow them the time necessary complete their work for you. Stay FAR AWAY from this store! This morning I experienced ABSOLUTE WORST customer service imaginable! I worked with Rachel to add a line to my account. There was no one in the store and I felt she was trying to rush us through the transaction. She was extremely condescending, abrasive and had no patience for all of my questions. She gave me the basic info and pricing without explaining the cost breakdown of how my plan would change. She was also extremely rude when trying to upsell accessories. I was told to sign on the dotted line to add the line to my account and I left more confused than when I entered. Luckily I was able to call a customer service rep when I got home who patiently answered all my questions about the cost breakdown. I've been to several ATT stores in many states and this was by far the worst and least helpful! I didn't appreciate working with a rep with such a negative attitude! I used to go to this store all the time. The staff was professional and helpful. That is no longer the case. I had an awful experience there this week. The person who waited on me was rude and arrogant. Worse customer service I've experienced anywhere. I had an issue afterwards that I needed help with and took it to the Orange store where the representative was courteous, polite and efficient. I don't understand why the woman in the Shelton store still has a job. read more

For the most part, people only review a business with a bad or amazing experience. As a consumer, we tend to check ratings as a gauge to making a conscious decision about supporting a business. I've been in customer service, my whole life, and when dealing with the public, I think the best attribute is to be genuine. A few weeks back, I went into purchase a new iPhone,Neyda was the rep. She was knowledgeable, personable, patient, presentable, skilled, organized and took a genuine interest in customer support. I wasn't treated like a number ,more so like a friend or family member. Some people don't pick up the little nuances , to me, they were more than evident. These are staff members that are not paid handsomely (without generating additional income through up-sales), and at no point was I ever pressured into anything. I have stopped in since with additional questions and other employees were just as helpful. Hat's off to Neyda for a memorable experience ! Poor service. Manager seems knowledgeable but steered us in the wrong direction two times with our phones. She tries to sell products that you'll never use. We had a problem with our phone and she recommended a store that could fix it for us rather than use the insurance. They wanted to charge us double ! The Shelton store printer doesn't work and from reading other reviews it's been broken for more than a month. The Shelton store used to be a corporate store but not anymore. Service has gone really downhill. Lots of products out of stock and she didn't know when or if they would be restocked. Better to look for a corporate store for a lot less aggravation and much better service. read more

Don't get me wrong, I know selling cell phones is a business and everyone needs to make money. However, you should check your tone and attitude when speaking to customers. Michael, a sales agent at this location, really seemed to take pride in speaking down to us and I didn't appreciate it. He gave us much needed information, but only changed his tone when we asked for his name and card. Learn how to speak to people especially if your job is in sales. Maybe you'll have better luck with a different salesperson, but I certainly don't plan on returning to this location. read more

I don't think this store deserves the reviews they currently have. The managers as well as reps here are great and really know what they're doing. When my bill came it was exactly what I was quoted. The worst! Rachel changed my plan, added a line without me knowing, and "saved me some money" by increasing my bill $30 a month. Totally misrepresented everything, basically lied. I made a second trip to the store and was given the "tough sh#t" attitude. It took me hours on the phone to resolve the unauthorized changes she made. Verizon, here I come! read more

I have to say I am so impressed with Michele at the Shelton store. Her customer service is unsurpassed. She is super knowledgeable and has helped me with several issues that have occurred simply effectively and with a smile on her face . Definitely ask for her you won't be disappointed. read more
