He told me the part needed to be ordered and he'd let me know how long it was going to be when he received the part. Jeff kept in constant contact with me and did an AWESOME job on my computer. When this problem was going on I had my Mom in the hospital. I was there each day til 8:00 p.m. and when Jeff was finished fixing my computer he brought it to me at the hospital which I thought was amazing. And he didn't charge me extra for bringing it to me. I paid him an extra $10 dollars for doing that and it was worth every penny. There just isn't many stores like this around anymore....if I could give 10 stars I would have. P.S. Jeff also let me have my computer without paying him. It was a Saturday and his shop was closed Sunday. He said it's fine for you to come and pay me Monday. I couldn't believe it...his trust in me.

The owner is a crook. I had an important recording device that I needed to be trimmed for the…read moreauthorities. He promised it would be done the next day & that would be less than $80.00. It took him 4 days to do a simple trimming. I had to call him constantly to know the status. He knew that was a very important audio yet he lied on the pricing & timing. He then withheld the trimmed audio on another device & tried to charge me $99.00 for just TWO copies of the audio. He's a liar. A scammer. Do not do business him.

Took my computer to Moe's for a virus removal on 1/4/2012. I was told that the repair would take…read more"one, maybe two days". I called three days later and left a message asking for a return call. I waited two more days and called again, still no response. I called for three days in a row with the same result. I finally went to the shop and found Moe's assistant hard at work playing a video game. I asked for my computer and he told me that they did not start the repair. He explained that they were very busy. As a small business owner, I was virtually shut down without my computer in service. I finally left Moe yet another voicemail on 1/12/2012 asking if he was still in business, and if he was, why he showed no concern for his customers. He then returned my call, yelling at me that I was rude, and that my computer was going to be fixed "when he got to it". I finally got my computer back on 1/19/2012. Upon going to work on it, I discovered that many of my business applications had been deleted. I immediately called Moe and he told me that he could come out to fix my computer FOR A $200. FEE. I agreed to the extortion and he showed up promptly and repaired HIS damage. He explained that he had also installed ESET Smart Security, an anti-virus subscription service program, on 1/18/2012, and it was good for a year, and then would have to be renewed. On 9/16/2012, I started receiving emessages from ESET saying that my subscription was expiring on 10/1/2012. I called Moe's and received the same non-response as before. When I finally did get through to Moe, he told me that he installed a free trial version on the service. This was the first I had heard this. I was billed for the "free" trial. I knew Moe was a terrible businessman, but I had not suspected that he was a ripoff artist, too. DO NOT USE MOE'S COMPUTERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

Warning: Luke, the sales manager at Evolve Computer on Howe Ave in Shelton does not conduct…read morebusiness honestly or transparently. I brought in my computer to double the memory. He quoted me $300.00 and claimed he was giving me a great discount. I would later research and find out that two local computer stores would have charged me a great deal less for the exact same job. After the job, I brought my computer home and was distressed to find that my desktop screen was blank! It appeared that all of my approx. 45 desktop word and other document files/icons were completely gone! Without my knowledge or permission, Evolve had moved all of my desktop files to another folder that I could not see, and did not know how to retrieve. When I called the store to complain, an employee, Eric was rude and unapologetic. He told me to bring back the computer and stated it would take 10 minutes to fix. He also said they had forgotten to give me back my original hard drive (which legally is my property) and I needed to come back anyway to pick it up. When I subsequently spoke with Luke about how displeased I was with the service (and that I wanted an adjustment to the bill) he told an outlandish untruth about how Evolve purposely holds on to your old hard drive just in case there is a problem like mine. That's ridiculous. If it were true, they would have to keep every client's hard drive and require customers to make an unnecessary trip back to the store just to retrieve it. Luke stated I'd have to bring in my computer and leave it for at least an hour because they "had to do the job" over again in order to restore my files on the screen. I had a strong feeling which turned out to be correct- Luke was gaslighting me. Afraid to let Evolve touch my computer, I retrieved my original hard drive and then went to UBreakiFix on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton CT. It took them just 10 minutes (I stood and watched) to restore my files on the desktop - which is what Luke's employee, Eric had originally stated. Not only did Luke falsely claim that it would take an hour of labor, but UBreakiFix said his warning that restoring my desktop screen to its original format would slow down my computer was also false. UBreakiFix felt badly that I had been swindled, and did not charge a penny for their service. I think Michael, Evolve's owner, should refund me $100 for their unprofessional service and for my significant time and trouble. I'm sure Evolve Computer will refute this review - but that will just be another falsehood.
