And services that deliver are super important and in high demand. I got quotes from several services on Yelp. Aoun from RCJ was the most straight forward. He communicates really well and is eager to please clients. We set an appt for 2PM. He texted me at 11AM and said he could move it up to 12:00. He arrived at 12:00 on the dot. That is miraculous in this age of 6-hour windows. I needed to have installed: Smart Lock, Video Doorbell, Co2 detector, Smoke Detector, Leak Sensor and glass break sensor. These were being added to my existing security system. So, besides physical installation, they had to be integrated (even something as simple as smoke detector). The job went so smoothly that it was almost unnerving. No grumbling of how a part didn't fit or something wasn't going well. No calls to tech support or trips to the store. Aoun was ready for everything. Fabulous disposition and so helpful in showing me how everything worked. Took extra time to make sure it was working properly and that I understood it all. After nightmarish experiences with Best Buy and other installers whose customer service is in the other side of the world, it is fabulous to find a local company whose technical skill, pricing and customer service all get top marks!

Eero was zero help and just kept having me buy more units, but I knew hardwiring and getting some Cat6 cables into my most important rooms was the real solution. Enter, Anthony. He came out and checked the layout and dead zones, gave me a quote and came and did a giant day of pulling wires to fix everything. Since then, no issues while on zoom or streaming. He and his team were clean, kind and thorough. They put everything back and installed perfectly straight wallplates. They even cleaned up all the wires and organized my electrical closet and made it look nice. They didn't have to do that, but it was a very pleasant surprise to see it! I'm a tough customer, hard to please, and Wired 4 Entertainment did an excellent job in upgrading our home to 2022.

He offered to reschedule for Sunday but due to the inconvenience and my fear he wouldn't show up again, I asked for a $20 discount. He refused. I cancelled the service. Anthony contacted me later that night and reconsidered my inconvenience. He did the work with the discount I asked and came promptly the next day. The work he did is incredible! Smart Home flunked this test The assignment was simple,…read moreinventory my extensive hard wired home theatre, sound and computer system, pack it up and move and install it in our new, smaller home, in the process converting it from wired to wireless. Not terribly complicated, my system was Sonos dependent. Their estimate supposedly included every thing from networking the computers, hooking up router relays if necessary to boost signals, installing 4 wall mounted tv's, apple tv's and an amazon t.v. and the sound system as well as determining whether a pair of unused ceiling speakers could be fitted into our home theatre system. In a project that ended up almost 30 percent over budget (in all fairness, one of the unanticipated pieces of equipment I had to purchase was an expensive piece of furniture to conceal the equipment) and then there was the sudden breakdown after moving of a 3 year old smart t.v. Less turned out to be more with these guys. We did the computer network ourselves, direct t.v. installed the boxes and networked the t.v.'s, Smart Home did a half hearted attempt to plug my Request Server (outmoded by cloud music) back into the Sonos system. And after frequent call backs for work left undone or not done at all, and complaints and an on-site session with Jared supervising, I have a serviceable system. These guys are knowledgable and competent, and this is just one of those jobs, I'm sure, that just went wrong from beginning to end. To their credit, they doggedly came back to correct problems and try to satisfy our expectations, and in the face of a barrage of criticism, were always courteous and calm. I'm sure they were as happy as I was when the last bill was paid. And we could both sigh with relief, "It's over!"

But our rogue thermostat proved to be a challenge.
