Evolve Computer in Shelton, CT, and its owner, Mike Terenzio, exhibited utterly unprofessional and foolish conduct.... I sold them a MacBook Pro months ago, resetting it to factory settings in their presence. They inspected and accepted it as is but failed to check for an MDM profile, which I was unaware of. Despite their supposed expertise, Terenzio falsely accused me of selling a "stolen" device (I've had this device that I purchased for over 5 years) and demanded a $100 refund, claiming I misrepresented the device. His harassing calls and texts, including one on June 12, 2025, calling me a "lowlife" who "peddles stolen computers" and threatening court, were baseless and aggressive. Using a scanned copy of my ID as a threatening tactic over a legally invalid claim is desperate and absurd. He then had the audacity to say, "giving you 72 hours to come down with $100" and then I'll see you in court". Torching a business relationship over a mere $100 with such incompetent, hostile & extortive behavior is beyond foolish. Avoid Evolve Computer for their unethical and clueless practices. read more

Warning: Luke, the sales manager at Evolve Computer on Howe Ave in Shelton does not conduct business honestly or transparently. I brought in my computer to double the memory. He quoted me $300.00 and claimed he was giving me a great discount. I would later research and find out that two local computer stores would have charged me a great deal less for the exact same job. After the job, I brought my computer home and was distressed to find that my desktop screen was blank! It appeared that all of my approx. 45 desktop word and other document files/icons were completely gone! Without my knowledge or permission, Evolve had moved all of my desktop files to another folder that I could not see, and did not know how to retrieve. When I called the store to complain, an employee, Eric was rude and unapologetic. He told me to bring back the computer and stated it would take 10 minutes to fix. He also said they had forgotten to give me back my original hard drive (which legally is my property) and I needed to come back anyway to pick it up. When I subsequently spoke with Luke about how displeased I was with the service (and that I wanted an adjustment to the bill) he told an outlandish untruth about how Evolve purposely holds on to your old hard drive just in case there is a problem like mine. That's ridiculous. If it were true, they would have to keep every client's hard drive and require customers to make an unnecessary trip back to the store just to retrieve it. Luke stated I'd have to bring in my computer and leave it for at least an hour because they "had to do the job" over again in order to restore my files on the screen. I had a strong feeling which turned out to be correct- Luke was gaslighting me. Afraid to let Evolve touch my computer, I retrieved my original hard drive and then went to UBreakiFix on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton CT. It took them just 10 minutes (I stood and watched) to restore my files on the desktop - which is what Luke's employee, Eric had originally stated. Not only did Luke falsely claim that it would take an hour of labor, but UBreakiFix said his warning that restoring my desktop screen to its original format would slow down my computer was also false. UBreakiFix felt badly that I had been swindled, and did not charge a penny for their service. I think Michael, Evolve's owner, should refund me $100 for their unprofessional service and for my significant time and trouble. I'm sure Evolve Computer will refute this review - but that will just be another falsehood. read more

So thankful for E-Volve!! Had a liquid soap disaster (I've made better choices since then) and took my MacBook to Apple. They said it was too corroded/damaged to repair and that I should essentially throw it off a cliff. Brought it into E-Volve and a little over a week later it was good as new! I went in looking for a computer that fits my needs. I had a MacBook Pro but it was full of music so I wanted to upgrade and I did. The guys in there where very helpful on showing me what fitted me the best. They are also familiar with dj software which was a big plus because I was scared to loose my music or even worst the software freeze up on me at an event, but they made sure everything worked properly.
