This company is amazing. I brought my desktop in for repair. The power supply was shot. TechLine had a new one in stock and only charged me for the part ($49.00). The computer was ready in just a few hours. I brought my iPhone in because I cracked the screen. TechLine replaced the screen for $40.00 and it too was ready in just a couple of hours. December 2012 I am sorry to say that I had BIG issues at TechLine. My laptop simply needed to be cleaned as it was running hot. First, I called to confirm they could do the work. They said no problem just drop it of any time after 10 am when they open. Needing it asap, I asked hubby to bring it over as I had to work. He waited in their lot until someone finally showed up at 11:30 am! He was told I would get a call within two days with the results. And he came home with one of those tear off receipts that you get at tag sales with no specifics on it. Scary. He said the "storefront" was an almost empty space and he was a bit skeptical. Scarier. Anyway, I Never got a call. Called them every day for a week and they never returned my call. Also their phone system did not work...it would keep disconnecting. Very nervous as I was trusting them with my laptop which I needed ASAP! Finally, I called them after hours when they were supposed to be closed and there was a lot of confusion on its status. I was assured it would be ready in two days and they apologized saying they had a family emergency. Ok, that's reasonable I thought. Two days go by...no phone call. I call them again and after two more days finally get a live person who told me my "part" was still on order. "what part?! It only needed to be cleaned!". Oh sorry, they said, oh yes, it is being finished tonight and you can pick it up tomorrow. Now it is two weeks since I had dropped it off when they said it would only be two days. Hubby picks it up, pays a reasonable charge, brings it home...it works fine. Yeah I think. Several weeks go by, my lap top dies. Hmmmm...ok, the battery is dead...strange because I always run it plugged in. It is plugged in and not getting power. Hmmmm...investigate further and find out that the power cord they gave me is one that was repaired in a half-assed way...with black electrical tape wrapped in two places on the length of the cord. Wtf! The cord I gave them with my laptop was perfect. I should go back there but they are so incompetent that I am just ordering a new cord and writing this yelp review. Run, run, run away from this business. Ineptness is their motto! Maybe they have good tech guys but they sure don't know how to run a business and no one wants to trust their computers to an outfit this bad. read more

Terrible experience, walk into the place and its some guys messy basement. Gave it the benefit of the doubt because I needed my computer fixed and had some decent reviews. The "owner" told me that it would take an hour to diagnose my computer and they advertise a free diagnostic. I dropped it off before noon and didnt recieve a call for the next 9 hours. I called back to find out he hadnt even looked at it yet. He said he would first thing the next morning. I called at around two and he had just begun looking at it. I picked it up around an hour and a half later. He claimed to have fixed the problem and charged me sixty five dollars. I never authorized him to fix it, and paid because hey if they problem is fixed then he deserved the money. I never got any updates throughout the process unless I called for one, and an hour diagnostic turned into him having my computer for two days. I will never go here again. As soon as I got home the problem had not been fixed and occured more often. I took the computer elsewhere and the problem was fixed within hours. The technician told me that I was scammed. I called for a refund and to dispute the charge but he refused to give me my money back. NOBODY should be paid for a service that is not provided or authorized for that matter! This was the absolute worst experience of my life. I brought my Iphone for repair on Monday (8/22).Gimmy said it would be ready no later than Thursday. Gimmy said he would call me in an hour or two to tell me the staus of my phone. He never did. Finally I called Wed.(8/24) they said they were waiting for part to arrive in mail and then they would fix it immediately. Thursday (8/25) at 5 after not hearing from them again my husband called they said they had recieved part and they were really busy but it should be ready on Friday (8/26). I called all day Friday and no one answered. (This was also two days before Hurricane Irene was scheduled to land on CT so I actually would have preferred to have my phone with me whether or not they fixed it) Gimmy told my husband they they were also open on Sat(8/27). Sat, we headed up there, when we arrived store was closed. No call, no message, no email, nothing! Now my Iphone was stranded in a hurricane in an area that was calling for flood damage. Monday (8/29) called Gimmy at 10 o'clock he told me that the "guy" who was going to fix it was coming in at 3:30 and the Iphone should be ready at 4:30 but he would call me and let me know. At 5 O'clock we were driving up to Shelton AGAIN and called some other guy told me that Gimmy was the one handling my case and that he left at 3:30. At which point we picked up my Iphone drove 20 minutes to the Milford Mall and had it fixed there. In a half hour my screen was repaired and I was on my way home. I would never recommend this place or suggest anyone go there. Learn from my mistakes, don't give Gimmy your time and energy. read more
