So I called in and they were able to accommodate me and redo my nails. The staff is always nice and I really appreciated the way they handled the situation. I always have a lovely experience here but tonight was extra amazing. Kayla did an exceptional job on my acrylic gel fill. She originally put my set on in April and they have held up amazingly well - had my first break that needed a tip just yesterday. I'm hard on my nails so it's unbelievable that they're holding up so well. The salon is clean and beautiful inside, their pedicure massage chairs are the stuff dreams are made of and Tom and Apple (owners) are really lovely people. My partner and I had our first appointment there today for pedicures and were absolutely blown away by the quality of the pedicure. It was an awesome experience. All the parts of the process felt so good. Hot stone massage, the massage with the lotion and the mask were so relaxing. I have had pedicures for the last 20+ years and this was the best one I ever had. I was also pleased to see that they do a base coat, 2 coats of color and finished with a top coat. Hello Tom, I can appreciate your comment however in the area of customer service it is lacking. You come across extremely defensive in all of your comments that say their experience with your salon was less than perfect, providing zero ownership for the customer experience. In this interaction we both have areas of opportunity to be pointed out. It was never my intention to hurt the other customer's feelings by saying that we were not together, as it was simply the truth and I didn't want to disturb her experience or have my own experience disturbed by being sat next to one another when Covid cases are back on the rise or being forced into conversation by another customer. I sincerely apologize to that customer for causing any ill feelings. I feel that because we were both black your staff assumed we were together, so her embarrassment should come from your assumptions not for me stating the facts. If it were an older lady of a different race I highly doubt you would have attempted to sit us next to each other. In regards to the customer with the crying baby, the baby definitely cried for longer than a "few" minutes, in fact the parents swapped the baby out between them a few times because the baby became so upset. When that didn't work another customer got up and offered to help them with the crying baby. This is when the Mom said the Dad was almost done and yes he did take the baby out, however brought her back in but she started to cry again so he left out again. To avoid this sort of experience in the future I will try my best to make an appointment and note that I am alone and ensure it's outside of the hours that babies are booked in the salon. I'm not sure how you fit me in at 5:30 on a Monday when you had one other customer in the salon when I arrived and at least 4 techs sitting around doing their own nails or playing on their phone. I appreciate the fact that your business is a family oriented business, however after 5pm most people are coming from work so the last thing they want to do is pay $92 total for a just an ok experience that involves a screaming baby. I have four daughters and we love getting our pedicures together, however this day was just for Mom. I appreciate your expertise in letting me know the difference between cracked heels and callused skin. (I have updated those pictures! ) Do you offer a cracked heel repair service? Because I'd definitely would've enjoyed getting those heels uncracked. Luckily for my "cracked" heels I actually was able to use my $5.00 Trim Neat 2-in-1 buffer and sole refiner from Target that worked great on these cracked heels. In regards to the color mismatch I used my flash light on my phone to ensure the colors matched well and the variation in colors still happened. I can also own that as I usually catch the color difference during the application which I didn't. The nail tech did a good job overall and yes the application of color was good just not the color that was represented on the sample. Apple was very pleasant and helpful to work with. In fact she came and apologized for the crying baby and made a joke regarding me leaving my kids at home but then come to this. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my review. Apple introduced me to hybrid gel when I started going there about 6 months ago and I will never do anything else or go anywhere else! And told me I would have to wait till 6 to have my pedi done . My first and last time coming here . Advice for this location make sure your system matches your website . Very inconvenient and to be told I would have to wait for the people with appts to show up to be seen is crazy . Reply to owner: I think it's disingenuous to not notify clients that book appointments that you canceled them in advance . Your system has my cell phone number and email when I booked the appointment. A simple text message would of sufficed informing me of the cancellation. The $10 that I am speaking of is from one of your nail technicians falsely claiming that gel was $10 more not $15. We wanted regular polish to begin with but they wouldn't stop asking us and made us feel uncomfortable so when we said "Ok how much?" they both said $10. So we agreed to a $10 up charge for the gel. As far as the amount of times I was knicked with the tools she was using, you said nothing about that. So no. My review DOES make sense. I was hurt multiple times and flinched/took my foot away in pain. My mom was also knicked and they put glue over the blood which caused her an infection within days of this happening. We were both hurt. The answer to why? Because we were being rushed, I understand it was mother's day and you guys were busy and have other clients but we are all PAYING customers who deserve a thorough job. We came to relax not to sit in pain and then get overcharged in the end. As we looked over at the woman sitting next to us, they were all receiving great service from their technicians which were men. Maybe it's just the woman who rush? I don't know.. but at the end of the day that is what happened. This was OUR mother's day. & instead of being sympathetic you are being rude & defensive and saying my review "makes no sense". Awesome business owners!!!! BTW This is what yelp is for, to inform others of anything good or BAD that they have experienced as a paying customer. I visited yesterday and had the most wonderful, yet relaxing escape from everything. I got a full set of angel volume lashes, hybrid gel pink nails, and a Sedona pedicure with a French. After searching reviews on Yelp I noticed this place had a few great reviews. I can definitely see why! The salon is nice and new and the ladies who work in the salon are great! Christina did my pedicure and she did a really great job. She paid close attention to detail and wasn't afraid to spend time on my problem areas. Next, Apple did my nails and I absolutely love them.
