This is not the best Apple store I have been to. Way too busy for the number of employees working. Service slow. My issue was a complex one I grant you, but they kept saying I had done something when in fact I had spent hours on the phone with Apple support who had DIRECTED ME to go to the store. They were impatient with me as a result. I think they did not want to deal with a referral from the phone support, or perhaps because it was a replacement issue, but regardless, I wont be back at this location. read more

This store is the worst! I waited 3 hours for a diagnostic test on my phone and after the test was done I was told my phone had a software problem that could not be fixed. After the so called genius tells me I will need a new phone. So I buy a new phone but something told me he was lying. I went home found a YouTube video and was able to fix the problem myself. It's gone downhill again. This place had the opportunity to make a move to it's current location in GSP. That was a stellar move, because prior to this location the Apple Store was in a shoe box! I had to make an appointment over the weekend, and scheduled this location because of my previous endeavor their. IT. WAS. A. MAD. HOUSE. The place is huge, and yet the the Genius Bar was packed to the point were I felt I was in a refugee camp! The Genius Bar is now a massive table located in the rear of the store. Which was completely filled with occupants. My wife and I were able to get a set of stools mashed uncomfortably between two other parties. I felt like I was waiting for someone from the UN to come up to me and tell me my village had been inflected with a zombie virus and I would never see my family again... Ok, I was waiting for awhile and came up with that story which is pure fiction! No zombie virus in the Apple Store or any UN refugee camps. Maybe... I was only sent to this location to verify a warranty issue that AppleCare's phone support required a genius to verify. I was told I was coming in for a replacement for my AirPort Extreme router and the genius at the bar told me that there was a fee associated with the replacement. Get this! The fee was $40 short of a new router at $199. Why would I pay for a refurbished replacement? AppleCare support should have told me this before a drive to a mall during the most crowded day of the week at this location! Long story short, can't live without WIFI (yeah, I'm going to last long in the zombie apocalypse. Whatever...). Bought a new AirPort Extreme router @TheAppleStore and bitching about it on Yelp! This Apple Store needs to expand this location out again! Hardly any products to look at since the place! Its mostly tables of MacBooks. Needs more 3rd party accessories to browse through and space to do it in. I'm shocked that the store has so little to look at when Store.Apple.com has an epic amount 3rd party accessories to browse about online. Tables of notebooks, iPads, iPhones, yet hardly anything to buy with it unless you're a member of the elite! I'm a huge Apple Fanboy, but things are starting to get ridiculous! $148 billion in the bank. Build an independent location with two levels nearby. One level retail, another support. Expand at home Apple. I understand that a new Apple Store in China helps your bottomline more than in Bergen County. But We Deserve Better. read more

I've been there twice this year, and today the guy that "helped" me and my family was super disrespectful, or mean. We were trying talking and trying to find out what the best choice of AirPods were better for my dad, but I guess he was tired of being there, or tired of us. His attitude, and the way he was looking at all of us... I don't even have words, and I'm not trying to be a Karen, but... When I told my brother how I felt, he said he felt like it was some type of racism or discrimination because the guy was super nice with his last customer that wasn't Hispanic. My experience in this store has been in the last 5 years or perhaps more very well, I have not had problems when it comes to picking up an item or when I have had problems with my phone. I have always had the great experience of meeting exceptional people willing to help me, even without an appointment or in times of pandemics. In general, I reconfirm going early because it is in a very crowded Mall and in an area with a lot of population, do not pretend to go for help at the last minute because they are attending with previous appointments as always and nobody wants to be treated with privileges only for having an energy with an electeonico team. read more

Getting tired of Apple... went in just to buy a case for my iPhone, and when I finally got the attention of an employee, he seemed bothered by me asking him about the case, he just told me to go look for another guy that was gonna be able to help me. (He was too busy having a chat with he's fella coworker). Finally when I found someone to help me out, he told me that the cases that they had on the wall where the only ones they had, sooo I had to make the job for him and told him to double check on his device because I knew they had it in stock. I been coming to this store for years and for the first time I had a horrible experience. A worker refused to let me speak to a manager to explain that I need to catch a flight and perhaps be seen earlier than scheduled for assistance with pairing a watch. She literally stopped me and did not grant my request and replied that even if I speak to a manager they will not allow me to be seen earlier than scheduled. She was sarcastic, rude, and seemed privileged to respond to me in that way. She also accused me for helping me a day before and said it was the same story. Wow! She came off as entitled leaving me wondering if it was a racial thing. Her name was "Rory" also spelled it when I asked. Please schedule another person to be at the front of the store who can use a different tone with customers, does not come off as rude and disrespectful. read more

Not my favorite Apple Store for several reasons- parking sucks pretty much no matter when you go, it's in the middle of the mall so not super easy to get to and it's kind of a pain in the ass to find someone to help you. But, the employees I have talked to have been helpful. They replaced a cable I had that wasn't working without asking many questions and gave me some good advice on things when I asked. Since I am in the area often and I don't really want to go to NYC just for the Apple Store, I will probably be back. Tip: if you don't have an appointment, you need to make one with the person in the back or the store with the iPad. Also, you can park near Macy's and go through there. Because I've come to this store before in the past and gotten excellent customer service, I expected the same. As soon as I walked in the door, the young men at the door didn't even greet me. They just sent me to the wall when they found out I wasn't buying something. A lady named Kelly was equally disinterested until I asked for a manager. She prepped the manager Samantha Acosta (who was very indignant) before she spoke to me. She didn't try to help me or even listen to my issue. What's wrong with the security guards here? Such attitudes and display of power tripping. I don't know if they want to show that they have power or something, but this happened last time and happened again so I had to leave a review hoping management would see. When I arrived, the security guard asked why I was there, and I told him I have a Genius Bar appointment in 10 minutes. As it approaches my time i see that the store has employees just standing around so I ask if I could check in. He tells me no and to wait. After a while, past my Genius Bar time, another employee asks what I'm there for and I tell them and they tell me to come in. I get seen right away by an Apple employee from a bunch that were free. I went into the store to purchase an iPhone and an Apple Watch. I waited more than expected waiting time so I complained to a sales representative. A person by the name of Jordan came to me and was very rude , aggressive, and disrespectful, and very loud saying to me " you will be next so just wait here " . I was angry at the way he treated me so I told him that he was loud and that he should be polite and respectful when he talks to me or any customer. He did not care and kept raising his voice again and again in a very loud tone. Again He was very aggressive, very hostile, very disrespectful , threatening me and even starring at me like he was about to hit me. I felt threatened and so I also became loud and told him to not raise his voice to me. I then told him to get the store manager. It was obvious to me that he was threatening and being disrespectful to me because of my ethnicity, skin color and name. I insisted that I must see someone- other than himself- so he called one of his colleagues his name was Chris Maddern, while claimed to be the store manager. He was also rude and disrespectful. I said to him that his colleague Jordan should give me a sincere apology and be polite and respectful. He refused to have his colleague Jordan apologize to me, and became hostile and threatened to kick me out of the store and said to me. I went to apple store in garden state plaza so call "genius Bar" no genius at all the guy did not know anything on how to fix problem. all he did was reset my phone, something I had already done and end up by telling I had to reboot my phone every 5 days and I am talking about the 12 max pro. I indicated to him did not want to reset it because didn't want to loose passwords and info. He went ahead and did that and told me it was only the picture that it was going to change. It was disastrous because still have not recuperate all my passwords lost connection to my apple car play and many other things. I'm sure this isn't the first or will be the last complained about to the Apple Store in Garden State Plaza a blind visually impaired person and her phone Froze up on her iPhone eight X so we showed it to the man at the front door who greets you and he sent us back to speak with a department that deals with emergencies which he felt this was because my friend realized on that phone for doctors appointments prescriptions all things concerning her daughter who's in middle school teachers notes and any legal information that pertains to her Finally nobody would help us without the managers approval seems that he gets to decide what's an emergency or not Well after talking to an associate the manager came over and said it wasn't an emergency even though her prescriptions and everything She needs is on this phone and she has no way to access it because the phone is frozen she cannot get it to open to see her appointments with school with doctors with specialists What exactly do they consider an emergency someone with a brand new phone someone with a three or four thousand dollars my poor friend is visually impaired and cannot get to Garden State Plaza on her own I explained in detail to the manager he could not care less did not flinch just said no we can't and walked away I thought that was disgraceful apple genius store my ass more like show us your bank account maybe will help you if there's enough digits and your phone is worth thousands of dollars other than that blind deaf dumb get in the back of the line read more

Ok so just for s88t and giggle I wrote to the CEO suggesting a couple of idea's for organizing this store. It's like a real bad maze until you get to the technician. I too had the experience where you are directed to a table but no one takes your name or appointment time. Like are they suppose to know we are there thru osmosis. The employees are afraid to look you in the eyes for fear that you might ask them a question. Complete disorganization. Not enough correct instruction on where to go and who to see. Some minor changes and it could run really smoothly. You should not get stress when trying to get help for your consumer items. read more

I made an appointment for 2 pm so my wife could buy a MacBook. We got there and I mentioned I had an appointment and were told to stand in a line to register that we were there. After waiting a while, we see the check in person and are told to go to a table and someone would be there in 20 minutes. I asked what was the point of making an appointment and he looked surprised but said he would try to get someone sooner. No one ever showed, so I left. Awesome store. Always on the road and traveling, so never near a "This one only" and when my Mac or iPhone need help, need it quickly. Found this store on a search for the closet one near me outside of NYC & north Jersey after my MacBook Air crashed during a software update and an hour long Apple call could not get it to function again. Derek was the best (and what a great name if I do say so myself, ha!), great to chat with about Apple products and fixed my issue. Main point: This store broke my phone and then wanted me to pay for it. I purchased my iPhone 7 in September 2016. I have not had any issues with the phone except some fast battery draining. As such, I wanted to get a battery replacement, especially with Apple's $29 offer. I visited the Apple store at the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ on January 10. After waiting 2 hours for my battery replacement, I picked my phone up with 1% battery and I was told to charge it. Upon leaving, my phone kept restarting and would not hold a charge greater than 3%. I then spent another hour on a chat with Apple support. They made me an appointment at the Apple store in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. After spending another hour at the store and without any tests, I was told the only option was to replace the phone for $299 minus the cost of the battery replacement. Is this your goal, Apple? To lure customers in with $29 batteries, only to break their phones and make the customers pay hundreds of dollars to replace them? This is absolutely unacceptable, and I am appalled at the service I have received. I am not going to pay to replace my phone for something that was not my fault. read more

I came here to do some diagnostics on why my a week old new iPhone 7 battery drains out much quicker than my old iPhone 6. I expected the story to be empty due to the snowstorm, only to find out the entire mall was empty except this store. I put my name on the waiting list and was told that within 30 min, I will receive a text to report to the diagnostic station. Promptly after the receiving of the text, which came in a timely manner, I was introduced to a staff, who was very knowledgeable. After running some diagnostics, and rebooting of the phone, it was all good. I wish they had more staffs so that the wait time can be reduced. read more

Three Stars because I got help from two people today. I walked in and was told if I needed to buy any accessories to go to a man with a mask on who was between 50s and 60s, a white man. He was helping someone before me as I watched the entire interaction and the woman's card declined a few times and she ended up just walking away and said she would buy it another day. Next comes to me and all I wanted to buy was a $20 box for my charger. I tried my card two times and then tried another card and he says to me "take that up with your bank". I literally watched someone else's card decline and then used two different cards of mine with money on it and didn't get any fraud text messages, so clearly it was his machine. I ended up having to order it online and picking it up while standing right there, and a girl today who was absolutely amazing who helped me with that. Do better apple. Service at Apple gets worse and worse. Waiting for more than an hour although I had an appointment. Nobody is even interested what kind of problem I have. Dozens of Apple employees are hanging around doing nothing and they tell me that there is no available specialists. This is my second bad experience this year. First one was my trying to reset my icloud account for 4 months with 6 managers thru Apple Care Phone support. It wasn't even fixed. I feel like I wasted $300 paying for this apple care. My i mac, broke down a year after I bought it because of a hardware problem present in the computer from the beginning, This caused me no end of problems as a graphic designer who depends on a working computer for their livelihood. Apple refused to loan me an equivalent machine while mine was in the store for repairs despite the fact that they do so for phones. It will be 1-2 weeks before my computer is repaired and in that time I will have lost money and a reputation for reliability. Buy nothing from this store! Every single accessory in this store is overpriced. You can find a ton of cases and screen protectors for your iPhone at oodles of other retail stores. I get all of my iPhone essentials at Five Below. If you want to buy any computer or iPod device with an extended service plan, go to Best Buy. Apple Care will NOT cover your product for accidental damage. Therefore, if you drop it or spill something on it, you will have to pay for it to be repaired. The price for a repair is pretty much the price of the actual product itself, so you might as well buy a new one. Best Buy has extended service plans that DO cover accidental damage. As for this store in particular, I've purchased a Macbook and an iPod here. Both experiences were met with problems due to the rude associates. I asked one of the workers what I should do, being that I broke my MacBook screen (A laptop has two halves. One contains the screen while the other contains the keyboard. I pick up my other laptop by the screen phalf all the time to move it from desk to desk. No problems. I did it ONCE to my MacBook, and the screen cracked). Her response was "Well that wasn't a good idea, now was it?" Probably not, but do you have to be that blunt about it? I think not. My second trip to this dump was to buy an iPod. I knew the exact one I wanted. The Apple "Genius" walked over. I had no questions about the product, having already researched it online. Easiest sale ever, for this guy. He brings over the little machine to swipe my credit card and notices I didn't sign my name to the back of it. "Can I see your driver's license please?" I hand it to him. He hands it back to me. "You need to sign your name on the back of your credit card." I respond by saying "Ok." Then he looks at me and says (with an attitude) "Now what would you do if I told you I couldn't accept this because you didn't sign your name?" I looked at him and blankly stated "Then I would save $200 of my hard earned money." He quickly shut his mouth and processed the transaction. The worst experience I ever had my wife and I walked in to the Apple Store in Garden state plaza mall to buy to watch bands. As we walked in the main guy in the front did not even asked if we needed help did not even greeted us so we walked over to the table for bands. The Apple employee older guy late 40's to early 50's grey hair was so busy flirting with a women buying a band for her watch clearly see my wife and I sand there while he flirts and flirts like he had a chance and did not even make eye contact not even I will be right with you. As we stood there all the employees who were not working with a customer where in a huddle or greeting each other and joking and as the made eye contact with us pearly turned away like if they could not be bothered. I was so update that my wife walked up to the Asian bold headed dude in front of the door which directed her back to the desk we were waiting for over 15 mins.the customer was done now which the employee was flirting with and the employee by passed me and walked away I went over to the next table to another employee which the first guy/employee started to advise him that I was not in the Que and he had to go do something. I asked this new guy to if there was someone that is more helpful for me to buy a product and he stated I was not in the Que but he was assisting some one else which he was not because the cyst he was talking with walked away so he stated he would help just to tell me they did not have anything I needed. I did not want to make a comment to tell him the guy at the door did not mention a Que just said walk to the table and that guy will help you which clearly he did not and was rude as hell!!! I will never walk in the Apple Store in Garden state ever worst customer service ever they are just hanging out and talking with each other but if you read this Apple Store in Willowbrook Mall Wayne nj is the best great customer service ever.
