Thank you for calling [name of (expletive) company here]. Please listen carefully as our menu options have recently changed (no they have not). Also we are experiencing higher than average call volume, which is our way of saying that we don't know the concept of "average." You get a ACTUAL PERSON (or at least a very convincing artificial intelligence), thank heck. Lastly: the night of 1/6, our speed tanked. I texted the customer support # and within minutes got an answer, and shortly thereafter our down/up speeds were back to normal. All in all, so far so good.... my Cherophobia keeps insisting that /something/ will go tits up but so far it's been solid!

Within 10 minutes it was on the network. 3) Same day discovered a laptop I used for work was not compatible with the default network. Placed a call. 4) March 21 a tech shows up, updates their equipment (see picture) and my router. Laptop now works. My entire home including echos, google home, smart plugs, additional laptops, FireTV are all on the network and are working great!

First one is price and the second was due to an incident last month when connectivity was lost for 2 days which was made more painful by the fact that almost everyone was either working or schooling from home. During this time RCN would not provide a reason for the outage and only provided automated messages when calling the helpline estimating time that the system would be back up and just moving out the ETA every few hours or so when you called back expecting access to be restored. Having provided a realistic timeline would have set expectations and given subscribers enough time to plan alternative solutions. Next time do better RCN
