I've been a subscriber for almost 10 years now and have been happy with the service. It's been…read morequite reassuring all those times TWC lost connectivity in my building that RCN had remained fully functional. The reason for the three stars however is for 2 reasons. First one is price and the second was due to an incident last month when connectivity was lost for 2 days which was made more painful by the fact that almost everyone was either working or schooling from home. During this time RCN would not provide a reason for the outage and only provided automated messages when calling the helpline estimating time that the system would be back up and just moving out the ETA every few hours or so when you called back expecting access to be restored. Having provided a realistic timeline would have set expectations and given subscribers enough time to plan alternative solutions. Next time do better RCN

It's been two months since I switched to T-Mobile and I must say their quality of service is equal to VZW. The 5G is good. Calls are not dropped. T-Mobile's customer service is excellent (all Americans). The customer service reminds me of what I got from VZW 20 years ago. T-Mobile's prices are good and they solve VZW's greed problem. So why only 4 stars? When I went to the store on 17N in Paramus, everyone was friendly & the workers know all about the iPhone 12. The problem was I paid T-Mobile for the phone upgrade and now they are charging this on the monthly bill. I called T-Mobile for explanation, but they could not explain. I am challenging it on my credit card & I suspect this will get their attention. I hope to adjust this posting in a few weeks once this billing dispute is settled.

I purchased a fairly sophisticated alarm system from Mitchell over two years ago. I initially…read morereached out to him because I wanted more than the "2 doors and 1 motion detector" intro package offered by the national chains. Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

He suggested we troubleshoot over the phone before sending a technician to my house. Since the equipment is old, he had to send a technician after all. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Very fair, trustworthy, and refreshing to deal with a company that operates with integrity. Highly recommend for your security needs!
