i been out of work for 4 months and my cell phone got behind i tried to do the best i can to pay it, On June 25 2026 they turned my phone off without notice i tired to call them and tell them i pay 300 and the rest the next week and they said no b/c of the computer and cant override it and then spent 3 hours on the phone but the say they care, the customer rep says we do care but cant do anything about the computer how do you caring?. At 1:00am on June 26 i get a knock at my door and my cousin is there telling us they tired to call us bc my wives father was in the hospital he died that night and my wife could not say goodbye. I called verizon and the rep said " your past due and that it after i told them the story". Matt is absolutely incredible! I've had good experiences and bad experiences and overall I can say that this was the best experience I had dealing with Verizon in 20 years as a customer. Despite some hiccups that weren't his fault, he worked intentionally to create solutions and was able to work with Verizon Customer service to ensure we saved money. He went above and beyond what I would ever expect someone to do. If you need to upgrade your phone or anything of the lake, figure out when Matt is working and go during those hours. read more

UPDATE- I returned the Apple Watch they sold me back to corporate Verizon only to find out they sold me a pre-owned watch and tried to pass it off as a brand new watch! They are CROOKS! Horrible customer service! Run don't walk to the Verizon in Paramus on Route 17. This is an independent store under horrible management! I purchased a device, and once I got home and took it out of the box I noticed it was damaged. I immediately called the store and went back the following morning to Exchange it! Their own contract and receipt says the item can be exchanged, if damaged. The manager and store owner were very vulgar, aggressive and belligerent towards me. They refused to exchange the product and resorted to bullying tactics to intimidate me. I left the store shaking and in tears. A corporate Verizon store would never conduct themselves in such a manner! Do yourself a favor and don't give this location your business. read more

This store has the best sales team. I'm surprised at the reviews here on Yelp. I had a salesman transfer all content significantly from one phone to another. He set up my new phone and explained some of the new features and how to access what I specifically need. He patiently worked with me and set up my phone, which took an hour and 30 minutes. I highly recommend this store. It's staff is pleasant and takes the time to help. read more

Extremely dishonest place. I came to the store with a simple inquiry. However, after leaving the store, I discovered that they added a service to my account - The service that I never requested nor even inquired about. When I asked the agent at the store why he added a service without my consent, his answer was "Oops. Did not mean to. You have to work with corporate to revert this transaction because we are a privately owned store". I managed to remove the service from my account by calling Verizon but was still on the hook for charges for one billing period. Beware when they access your account at the store. But better off, go to a store that is owned by Verizon and avoid this joint all together. read more

I went with my friend to get his broken phone cloned onto a replacement. They said that this would cost 40$ because he did not buy it at this specific Verizon store (which is a blatant lie) and would not tell us what they were doing until after we paid. When my friend reluctantly said ok, the employee literally hid behind the desk so we could not see what he was doing. My friend's phone was broken in a way that he could see the screen but touch functionality was gone. Before he hid away in his hidey-hole, I saw him plug in a dongle to connect a wireless mouse. He was going to charge my friend 40$ to plug a mouse into his phone and pass it off as if he had some sophisticated device capable of cloning phones. They are preying on people that do not know better. read more

Terrible customer service!! We switched over 4 phones from AT&T to Verizon and had the misfortune of believing that this store was an actual Verizon store. It's not. It's independently owned and operated and not operated well. After switching all 4 lines and being lied to by one of the associates (MG), who did so in order to gain the commission, which he did, this is the first full month of having service and in total our billing is over $560 and, when I called and spoke to different associate (no one seems to ever call you back once they make the sale), he clearly could not help me and told me that I had to call the Verizon customer service. I know getting a new phone and transferring over all your information can be time consuming and annoying and it still is but the customer service at this store is amazing. Just had a terrible experience at this location which needs to be shared. The screen on my iPhone was malfunctioning and I was due for an upgrade anyway, so I went into the store with my 2+ year daughter in tow since her father was at work and I needed to get this taken care of. My daughter suffers from a hearing loss disability and is exempt from wearing a mask, but I of course had one on. I routinely take her into stores on a weekly basis where not one person ever says a word to her due to her age. I was not greeted by any warm hello or "Welcome to our store," but instead was simply told by the employee to sit on a stool. The fiirst words out of his mouth afterward were, "For future reference, everyone needs to be wearing a mask," referring to my daughter. Since there was another couple in the store who could hear our whole conversation, I did not want to launch into my daughter's genetic condition or hearing loss, so I simply said she was not even three, to which he said, "doesn't matter." OK, point taken. He then told me he needed to send a code to my phone for me to allow him access, to which I told him my screen is currently not working and certain areas do not respond to touch. I couldn't even get into the phone to unlock it because the bottom of the screen where the zero is doesn't work, and the zero is part of my passcode. Instead of just being able to pull my mask down for one second to show my face for facial recognition, this man made me step outside of the store in 20 degree weather in order to do so - having to shuffle my toddler in and out with me. OK, fine - we did it. I showed him afterward that I could not allow him access because the button that I needed to click was in the part of the screen that did not work. He made it seem like there wasn't going to be anything he could do but continued to try and work on it. In the meantime, my daughter looked at me and told me she had to go to the bathroom. I asked the man where the bathroom was, to which he told me: "We don't have public restrooms - you can go to Qdoba." So, there's a customer who has come in and is trying to buy a new phone - commission in YOUR pocket - and you don't even allow she and her small child access to your bathroom? We all know how long it can take to go into a cell phone store and buy a new device; sometimes you're in there for up to two hours on a busy day. So, is this now a policy in every Verizon store across the country that no customer will be able to access a bathroom during this time? I can take my daughter to the bathroom in Shop Rite or WalMart, but I can't take her to use the toilet in Verizon Wireless? Any marketer knows that the reason places like shopping malls and big box superstores keep restaurants and other eateries on their premises is because they know once someone has to leave to do those things, chances are they're not coming back. So, same concept here - you're going to ask your customer to LEAVE your store to walk out into the frigid mid-February weather just to take their toddler to the bathroom? Please expect them not to come back. And that is exactly what happened. I told the employee he was being pretty ridiculous with someone who was just trying to buy a phone with a small child in tow and walked out. It was CLEAR from the start that this man wanted nothing to do with me or my business since GOD FORBID, my TODDLER wasn't wearing a mask. His attitude from the minute we walked in just projected the fact that he wasn't happy having to sit down with us. I work in the public service industry as a school counselor, and I'm pretty sure I would be fired if I treated someone the way I was treated today. He did nothing to make me comfortable in this store and achieved exactly the opposite. I'm a loyal Verizon customer of over 15 years and pay TOO much money for your service to be treated poorly in one of your stores with my child. DO BETTER. read more

These guys were rude and not willing to help at all. They are not an official Verizon store and can't help with Verizon accounts at all. Rather than saying they are not able to help with certain Verizon accounts they led me to believe they were Verizon. They are not!!!!!! If you need any official business done with Verizon go to 469 rte 17 Paramus not this store. Not surprised the store was empty both times I was there. The person Anderson who helped me seemed like he had no clue what he was doing. Come to find out he truly didn't have a clue since they do not deal with Verizon actual accounts. My daughter called me from her office land line this morning telling me her cell phone she uses 24/7 just died. She left it for me to pick up and see what could be done. No luck. I went to the Verizon store in Oakland I normally go to but was told they couldn't touch the phone and simply wanted to sell me a new phone. I was certain I was going to buy a phone but chose to go elsewhere. I called the Fair Lawn Verizon explained what was happening with the phone. Alex said it didn't sound good but they could take a look. When I went there I worked with Anderson who tried everything he could as I watched. No luck. I told him what I knew she needed in her phone for work and personal. No pressure at all. He helped me find the right phone and made me feel very comfortable. This is my go to store. read more
