We are staying at the Hyatt in Denver and the surprise for us is the Apple Blossom restaurant. The drinks are artisanal and the food is amazing. My dish is the Grilled Rocky Mountain Trout. Nice breakfast/brunch place with beautiful view of the downtown. Their OJ was legit freshly squeezed. I got myself an omelet and oh my good it was not your usual omelet. The goat cheese and mushroom made me happy. First I was skeptical about getting the lamb shank hash, but I'm so glad that I still went on with it. I came here last weekend to celebrate my sisters birthday for brunch and it was spectacular!! The server was so nice and attentive for the whole time and had great recommendations since it was our first time there. All the food was so delicious especially the poutine for the appetizer. The Colorado Breakfast Burrito was huge, cheap, and delicious. And their fries are a MUST HAVE. Overall, getting our entrees took very long but the wait was worth it. Honestly sort of disappointed with my experience at Apple Blossom. We went for dinner and had a variety of dishes. The best thing that any of us got were the dinner rolls and the ham and cheese board. We got the beef short rib rendang and were honestly really thrown off by the price and quality compared to the other small plates we got. The addition of fried anchovy to what shouldn't have been a slightly dry individual piece of short rib just didn't taste good. It was a flavor and texture combo that in our opinions did not go well together. Three out of four entrées were disappointing. The swordfish was over cooked and over salted. The fried chicken's portion size seemed excessive (I know that sounds like a stupid thing to complain about, but it was honestly way too much food). The duck confit french dip was too greasy (roll that was heavily drenched and toasted in some sort of fat plus the fat from the duck made it overwhelming) and the au jus was insanely salty. Like almost inedible salty. The fries with the french dip and the pork tenderloin were just about the only good qualities of the entrées. Our waiter was friendly and did a good job. He said at the beginning of our service that they liked to bring food out in courses. From the time we sat down to the time we had our entrées, we had already been at the restaurant for over an hour. I don't know if that is an intended feature of what our waiter described, but it kind of felt like a convenient excuse for slow service by the end. Overall, it seems like in an effort to put out fine dining style food, the kitchen is forgetting the basics of seasoning correctly and not over cooking food. Some of the ideas on the menu that we experienced did not go well with each other and there is a lot of room for improvement. Me and two friends made an appearance at this restaurant on June 14th (2024) and it was a very enjoyable experience. We were vacationing in Denver and this placed looked welcoming, I had no idea that it was a hotel restaurant. The space was lovely - well-lit, plenty of seating, there were an appropriate amount of TVs, and the decor was modernized. The prices were a bit high but thankfully we went during happy hour and got to enjoy ourselves on a modest budget. Our server was a quick-talking, seasoned black woman who knew almost everything you could ask. She took our orders without pen or paper, offered advice on the menu and even gave us local recommendations. We ordered Umami-flavored Cauliflower wings, hot wings (Umami and spicy pineapple), and jalepeño poppers. The Umami flavor was incredible - a great source of spice, heat and flavor - we had it on the cauliflower and the wings. The Jalepeño poppers were spicier than expected but still great! I ordered a Moscow mule while my friend ordered a pear martini. All wonderful drinks. We then escaped to the rooftop bar. We were welcomed by two great hosts and there were plenty of seats to choose from. We all ordered our drinks again to enjoy the ambiance of the rooftop. We also ordered the cheesecake which, honestly, was a but underwhelming. It was a twist on a blueberry cheesecake but it wasn't as satisfying as it could have been. The crust wasn't as stiff as I'd like and the filling was doing everything but it's job. But, we still loved the experience and would return if we were in the area. read more

We went to Apple Blossom looking for a nice Saturday breakfast, and it turned into a brunch with the lack of urgency that the servers conducted themselves with. It took over 20 minutes to put in drink orders after we sat down, and we were one of two parties dining at the time. On multiple occasions we asked our server for additional things, such as ketchup and a spoon, and they forgot, or (what felt like) didn't care. It's a shame, the service was so awful, because the food was good. Would recommend if you don't have plans for the rest of the day, because you'll need additional time to account for the terrible service. Also, 23% service charge is included in the bill. read more

I blossomed as a person due to my love for this place! We were greeted with roses and warmest regards from the front desk who slowly escorted us to our private dining experience in the middle of the restaurant. I came with 3 of my most annoying and crazy friends (2 of us are like former federal prisoners) whom I love like the apples to my bottom jeans. We ordered the raisin cream leaves and they were literally to die for (CALLING MY VEGAN QUEENS EVERYWHERE). The drinks were a little concerning as they told us the elder berry flowers were taken from the flower display at an elderly person home (that's where the name came from) but they were so charming, yet a little overwhelming. WARNING: they will physically scoot your chair in upon seating which made my friend with trust issues super annoyed but all in all I absolutely adored this hole in the wall diner! Apple blossom is a standard hotel breakfast restaurant. The food is tasty but menus is limited. The restaurant caters to hotel guests so it has the same vibe as the Hyatt centric. Came back for dinner the next day since it started to snow and we didn't want to go out. Dinner was noticeably better than breakfast. We had the dinner rolls, the lamb rigatoni, cheeses and ham board, and cast iron shrimp. We also had drinks. Pros: Cocktail was solid. Better service in the evening with more food options as well. Dinner rolls were freshly baked. The rigatoni was al dente and hearty. Shrimp was flavorful (with surprising flavors) and cooked just right. The cheeses in the board delicious. Cons: Heavy handed on the salt. Also, wish the board came with toast or french bread instead. Overall better experience, I recommend sticking to coffee in the morning and the dinner menu in the evening. read more

Not good food last night for Denver Restaurant week. Lamb pasta undercooked, almost crunchy in texture with hard carrots pieces. Eggplant fritters? What the heck was that?? (tasted like a undercooked donut.) Earl grey cheesecake had no distinct taste-disappointing! Avoid the French Dip dish-- the bread was saturated in duck fat and soggy but then pan fried to toast the bread? Not good. Cocktails taste great, beer is cold, food is good...but there 20 other places within walking distance that offer the same caliber (even on 16th street which is nothing but a tourist trap). I live down the street and have tried to make this a super convenient joint but it just fails every time. We were very rudely greeted at the door and told there was no food left. It was 11am and the sign out front said Brunch was 10am to 2pm. The place was crowded with patrons. We were also told we couldn't sit at the bar for drinks. The bar was not crowded but had a few patrons seated there. It was confusing. We left and won't go back. We had Thanksgiving giving lunch here yesterday and we weren't impressed! $50 for a snack! The Turkey was good, but nothing to write home about! The Brussel sprouts were pathetic. There was about a thimble full of gravy (I asked for more and they said "there will be an additional charge, is that alright?" This was tacky as hell! Then the "stuffing"'was a small round hockey puck. The food was room temperature, no one to check on us :( The desert was just alright! You needed a microscope to see the pie, ‍ the apple pie wasn't even warm! No whipped cream, no ice cream! Then we add 20% for tip! You probably would have got more, but you're afraid we won't tip wow! Your restaurant won't make it if you don't do something. We had lunch here yesterday. I ordered the burger medium and it came charred medium well but beside that it was a tough pile of beef that required a knife and fork to navigate. The bacon was inedible and extremely tough even the knife couldn't penetrate. The Pastrami sandwich ordered was just fat on a bun. The crispy chicken sandwich was a mound of fried coating and dried out chicken. I was pretty shocked, but was unable to say anything as I was with hosts who liked their choices. read more

We had a reservation for Sunday 7/24 at 10am. Was not busy so we were sat fine, host was great. Our waiter took a bit to approach the table and we ordered 3 cappuccino and burrata to start. It took 20 min to get cappucinos and 40 to get our appetizer. Several tables who were seated after us were served before us. I asked our waiter about our food and he was very aloof. Mind you it had been an hour. Food was good but service was bad and they charge a 24% service fee which our waiter def didn't deserve. This place is a complete embarrassment. Stopped in for breakfast and it was a mess from the start. Ordered a carafe of champagne when it arrive the waiter spilled a quarter of it on the table barley wiped it up and didn't get a replacement. We ordered the breakfast burrito presentation was good but the entire burrito tasted like someone spilt and entire salt shaker on it. So poor service bad food so typically you would let them k ow with a bad tip..... guess again they automatically charge you for the tip no matter the situation. Along with that they give you a forum to fill out on their performance but no pen to fill it out. This was opened less than a year ago and is already a sinking ship and I would assume management knows it hence the form! I called to speak with the manager and he couldn't care less about the poor performance. I assume none of this feedback is getting to the owners because of the manager. read more

Had to spend a night at Hyatt Centric before my flight in the morning and went to dinner here at Apple Blossom. Overall the experience was great. The swordfish came out under cooked but the staff handled it greatly by bringing out a fresh dish as well as adding complimentary small plates to make up for the mistake. read more
