Food (5/5): Ordered a variety of dishes and the majority were super good. My favorites were the fish blossom which was like a sweet and sour deep fried fish, dongpo pork which was like a sauteed pork belly, and stir fried eggplant. The dumplings and mapo tofu were solid too. Only dish that may need improvement is the XO Sauce tiger shrimp. The shrimp's shell should just be filled and the noodles needs more flavor. The cocktails were also delicious. Service (4/5): Food came out fast, we got seated with no problems. Staff were helpful so overall good service. Ambiance (5/5): Really cool nature, plant ambiance and spacious seating. Unique and interesting vibe.

This place has been on my list for a while now but I never wanted to make the journey to Williamsburg to try it out but I decided to make the trek for my friend. We decided to do family style and everything came out really quickly. They do have match boxes in the front of this resturant as well for those who collect! -Fei-Hong Fries: These were pretty crispy and a cool take on regular french fries! -Crab Tofu: This was so good, highly recommend this dish. The crab flavor actually came through the tofu and the tofu was so silky. It went so well with rice. -XO Sauce with Prawns & Glass Noodles: This dish was also delicious - you can really taste the prawn flavors. Overall - super vibey resturant with solid good. Highly recommend checking out if you are in the area!

Nice, bougie Chinese spot in Williamsburg. My brother and SIL enjoy it here, and we had dinner together. We had scallion pancakes, tofu with century eggs, har gow, beef with green peppers, tea, some lobster fish, and a sour fish soup with peppercorn. It was all quite good.

Conflicted about this place-- I'd heard such amazing things about it and I really wanted to like it but the food didn't quite match up with what I was expecting. The ambiance is nice and very roomy, clearly targeted towards a younger crowd. Presentation of all the dishes was good too. As for the food, I guess it's a good option if you're not used to traditional Chinese food and looking to try it? The flavors were definitely more catered to an American palate (as my sister put it, it felt like an American restaurant with Chinese dishes-- from the decor to the lack of complimentary tea or rice, menu was written only in English, vast majority of customers were non-Asian, none of which is /bad/, but if you're looking for a more traditional Chinese restaurant, Antidote isn't it). Onto the dishes-- the favorite hands down was the sliced pork with garlic sauce, which was beautifully plated and super flavorful. DongPo pork belly was very tender, just much sweeter than I'm used to. The green peppercorn fish had lots of numbing spice and the fish was very tender; it just wasn't as sour or spicy as I was hoping. Crab tofu was basically all yolk flavor and no crab flavor (not surprising, given how little crab they added). Sautéed pea shoots were very fresh and cooked well. Cocktail list is also super solid. Dessert was a let down-- we ordered the espresso crème brulee, which had absolutely no brûlée (tasted more like a vaguely coffee flavored flan).

After water front walk near by, with some of the most incredible City views, we end our evening here. It's an upscale spot with a common touch, not an easy balance to maintain but they pull it off here. Fancy modern decor with friendly efficient service. Then food options are all shareable, and portions are generous. Everything we ordered was delicious, and beautifully presented. And to top it off, our server Vivian was an excellent host and cut out time in half by helping us order. Highly Recommend a visit

Kung pao chicken, bok choy with garlic

Came here on a sunday evening at 6:45 PM with a reservation for 3, and were seated fairly quickly. The interior was very classy, but it was a bit loud. We ordered fei hong fries, crab tofu, duck fried rice, kung pao chicken, and bok choy with garlic. My favorite dishes were the crab tofu and the kung pao chicken. I enjoyed the flavors of the crab and egg yolk in the tofu, although the oiliness was a bit offputting. I found the chicken to be very tender and flavorful, although not as spicy as I'd like. I also really enjoyed the tenderness of the duck in the fried rice, and the mala of the fries. The bok choy was good too, but didn't stand out as much. Overall, it was pretty solid szechuan food, but a bit pricy for what it is.

Crab tofu and dandan noodles were excellent! Looking forward to trying more items from Antidote.

The ambiance is top tier, and the portions are big enough to order a few things and share. I went with a group of 4--we got 4 large entrées and 3 bowls of white rice, and everyone left full and satisfied. The spicy dishes are actually spicy and flavorful, so if you can't handle heat, don't ignore those labels--they're not playing. The vibe is really good too--super aesthetic but still feels chill. We went before a show at Baby's All Right and it was packed with people going to the same concert, which made it fun. Definitely a solid date spot or somewhere to spill tea with friends.

Crab Tofu, Eggplants with Garlic Sauce

I'm Chinese and from the San Gabriel Valley in Southern California so I know Chinese food and this place did it right. I made a reservation for 3 at 8:30 pm on a Friday night and it was definitely necessary. The wait for walk-ins was pretty extensive. The restaurant itself is super dark and pretty loud but that didn't matter to me once I started eating the food. To share, we ordered the dan dan noodles ($14.00), scallion pancake ($12.00), sichuan chili fried chicken ($28.00), crab tofu ($28.00), and eggplant with garlic sauce ($18.00). Everything was amazing. I would order everything we got again. The crab tofu was especially delicious. All the dishes were cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. I would definitely come back the next time I visit Brooklyn.

Had a wonderful dining experience. First off, we had lots of last minute changes to our party and they were very understanding and accommodating. Secondly, loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Everything was very aesthetic. Lastly, food was amazing! Not a single dish that we didn't like. This is the kind of spot you'd wanna come with a larger group to order a bunch to try a little bit of everything.

Crab Tofu

Delicious upscale Chinese food in Williamsburg! The place is beautifully decorated and it was quite busy when we went. We got three dishes and all of them were delicious: - Crab tofu: highlight! I highly recommend getting if you like crab, tofu, and salted egg yolks. The taste profile surprised me. The salted egg yolk gave a deep intense flavor to the dish. - Chili chicken: crunchy and flavorful, love how the batter wasn't too thick and the pepper was not too overpowering. - Sauteed green beans: deliciously cooked, the beans had good flavors and it paired very well with the chicken. Overall, I do think this place is worth the hype. It is definitely on the expensive side though. I would recommend the crab tofu!

Solid sichuan food in williamsburg! Met up with some friends for lunch and got our usual assortment of mapo tofu, dandan noodles and green beans and they were all super solid 9/10 good enough to rival spicy moon I liked that the waiters didn't hover over us and let us enjoy our meal in peace as someone who does not prefer to be asked how my food is mid bite Also a moment for the decor, I loveddd this space, it was huge and airy and gorgeous with lots of natural light and tastefully placed plants. Definitely a trendy williamsburg spot but the food does not disappoint

Chestnut Short Ribs Fish stew with fresh green peppercorn
Stephanie L.

We ordered the short ribs, numbing rib eye cubes, crab fried rice, green peppercorn fish stew, sautéed pea shoots, and pig ears appetizer. My favorite was the short ribs. It was fall off the bone tender and very flavorful. The fish stew was good if you enjoy numbing Szechuan peppercorn. I personally enjoyed the mushrooms in the numbing cube dish more than the rib eye because the mushroom had more flavor. The crab fried rice was mediocre and didn't really have a wok taste. The drinks were good! Overall I would come back if you're looking for good Chinese food in Williamsburg. It does get pretty crowded so I would recommend coming early or making a reservation.

Get the "20 mini dumplings + drink of your choice". Seriously, I'm getting hungry just writing this review. Food: I ordered the 20 mini dumplings and drink combo, substituting the soda option for taro boba (+$4), totaling around $18 after tax! The dumplings are mini, but they are filled with so much flavor it's unbelievable. They each have a bit of soup in them that is so flavorful and not salty. There is also a slight bit of crispiness on the outside of each dumpling before the inside just melts in your mouth. It's unbelievably good. The taro boba is also well done. It's not too sweet, and the boba pearls are a unique level of like not that chewy and feel almost like popping boba?! Service: Friendly service! My friend and I did to-go, but the staff were all quite friendly. There is also a kiosk to order from if in a rush. Ambiance: It's a very clean restaurant and spacious. However, since there were so many people waiting for the viral item, we formed essentially a crowd outside the steps. The wait took about half an hour, and then my friend and I walked just down a couple of blocks to the Brooklyn Heights promenade, which has the most stunning view of the Manhattan skyline.

One of my favorite places because it's close, they have chrysanthemum tea, which I feel many places don't have anymore, they serve my favorite variation of the chive dumpling, they have a lot of newer or unique dishes, + they're on the cheaper end. The most recent time, I was here for their dim sum brunch, which is either $36 for AYCE plus $2 for tea, or they price each thing individually. It was a bit annoying that the tea was not included, but at least both the Oolong and Chrysanthemum teas were good quality and readily filled. Service in general was pretty fast and frequently checked on our large semi- private table to see if we needed anything else to order or more tea. The dim sum selection is a bit smaller than many of the traditional dim sum spots, but the overall quality was excellent, with a couple of definite highlights and some more unique dishes such as dumplings with pickled shrimp, crawfish, or Taizhou rice along with Ningbo wontons. In general, I would say that the wrappers were properly thin and everything was filled generously. The aforementioned Pickled Pepper Shrimp Dumplings were one of the highlights. The slightly spicy and sour pickles made it taste very light and paired nicely with the plump shrimp. In terms of other shrimp dim sum, their version of Har Gow/Crystal Shrimp Dumplings included a little bit of sweet crab for an extra touch. It was also tasty. I also liked the Ningbo wontons, filled with a variety of ingredients including minced pork, dried shrimp, yard long beans, pickled vegetables, bamboo shoots, and others. It had a wonderful mix of textures with some interesting crunchy notes. Another unique option mentioned is their Crawfish Dumplings, which are very noticeable compared to the other dumplings due to their bright red color. I appreciated the spiciness but found these a tad fishy with a thicker wrapper than most, but others loved these and ordered more. For more standard dumplings, their Xiao Long Bao/XLB were pretty good, and they had a tasty version of Sticky Rice Pork Siu Mai. The Baked Pork Buns were good as they were not too sticky sweet. Finally, there was a decent version of Pork Dumplings in Chili Oil. Non-dumpling highlights included their excellent turnip cakes along with steamed spare ribs, chicken feet, and a particularly tasty version of steamed beef tripe with satay sauce. I would skip the Beef Short Ribs With Black Pepper, which had good flavor but was way too chewy. I know someone else ordered the spring rolls, but I don't remember trying them. They also apparently now have a Ningbo speciality called Shi Bing Tong, but I don't remember ordering it. Someone else got their simple and tasty porridge/congee, only available traditionally with pork and century eggs, and enjoyed it. I tried a bit, and it was indeed good. Desserts included a tasty Crispy Durian Pastry, alright Sesame Balls, a good Pineapple Bun/Bolo Bao, and Custard Buns, which everyone loved, but they had a cuttlefish ink shine, so I couldn't try them. This is a fantastic, reasonably priced AYCE Dim Sum. Would recommend it if they still offer this deal.

What an experience beyond your wildest dream to occur during NYC Restaurant Week accompanied with a complimentary beverage in 2025, 2026, and hopefully again in 2027. Mito's food consistency continues to be unmatched with their three course restaurant week lunch. In 2026, the Mito lunch menu: - Complimentary passion fruit Mojito (non-alcoholic) - had an interesting carbonated taste with a mojito sensation on the palette. Difficult to explain this non-alcoholic mojito taste, which was a first time experience. In 2025's NYC Restaurant Week, Mito had the most delightful and perfectly paired red wine also complimentary with my restaurant week three course lunch menu. - In 2026, tried a different appetizer, Shrimp Shumai 8pcs accompanied with sweet soy sauce - was worth the food leap! The shrimp was succulent encased in a melt in your mouth wrap. This was my first time tasting shumai because I usually would have shrimp dumplings from a Chinatown restaurant in Lower Manhattan. Fortunately, shumai was an elevated taste of simple shrimp goodness much better than shrimp dumplings. By the time I remembered a food picture, four shrimp shumai were already gone and digested in pure delight. - Crispy Red Snapper 5pcs caramelized soy sauce, rice wine vinaigrette - was paired with fried rice as each crispy red snapper filet had scallion & caramelized sauce. Each delicious snapper bite was accompanied with a sampling of fried rice. However, the fried rice finished before the red snapper was all gone. Each bite of crispy snapper was better than the last bite. - Waffle Sandwich Ice Cream 4 pcs, choice of matcha - the difficulty was choosing your hand or utensils to cut into this matcha ice cream waffle goodness.
