Unique handrolls and overall great experience. I got the signature set and it did not disappoint. Definitely get this if it's your first time here or you're not sure what to order. I sat at the bar and it was a nice experience. They served each roll one by one and servers were attentive. Aesthetic of restaurant was nice and made the dining experience pleasant.

Walked in at 6pm on a friday for two. Staff was very accommodating and found table seating for us. Tuna poke classic, good, nothing special but was great Tempura big skip, too much batter and ypu only get two shrimps and two calamari. Pass As for the temaki, aka ebi, scallop, truffle, salmon serano, ikura, conut shrimp were phenomenal and i would get again The sets are the best value for sure as without the set the same rolls would be like 40ish The crab california and lobster one is mixed with mayo so because of that i wasnt the biggest fan

Made a reservation here on a Monday night at 7:30 pm. It's always hard to get reservations the day of (tried twice and couldn't get a good time slot), so make sure you check their site first. The West Village location is always booked too. A couple of my friends said that this was their favorite place to eat in the city, so I was super excited to try it! We got seated, and it took a pretty long time to get our orders started. We ordered the tempura misto, spicy tuna dip, and each got a signature set. Tempura misto $15- Definitely a pass. The breading was so thick and not appetizing. The pieces weren't really seasoned either. Spicy tuna dip $16- Recommend this! The rice chips remind me of the colorful fried ones they have at Chinese weddings. The tuna dip was also flavorful and light at the same time! Signature set $32- Not the biggest fan. A lot of the pieces weren't flavored or could have used a little tang. The tuna poke was my favorite, but the excessive fried shallots were overwhelming the flavor/texture of the fish. Coconut shrimp didn't have the consistency of shrimp and was also breaded thick. I was excited to try the sesame cucumber piece, but the sauce was thick and really salty. It reminded me a salted peanut butter consistency. Didn't work with the seaweed for me. The good wasn't particularly memorable, but the bad was disappointing. I'm not sure if I would come back!

Oh Nami Nori, you were fantastic. To start, the bamboo was fantastic - a sleeper hit. Then, I got the starter set, and man just hits on hits on hits. The fish was fresh and melts in your mouth, and the assembly process was fun and simple. The tuna and salmon were standouts. I got a sake too which was just delicious, and the waiters were very helpful in choosing one. The interior is small but well decorated and arranged. It is popular, so waits can get long just FYI. The service was helpful and thoughtful. I think this beats out Kazu Nori imo especially with the fun drinks and appetizer menu. Can't wait to come back!

Stopped by Nami Nori Williamsburg for lunch and had such a great experience. We ordered the starter temaki course, which came with five hand rolls: California, tuna + avocado, yellowtail scallion, salmon + cucumber, and spicy tuna. Each one was perfectly wrapped with crisp nori and warm, seasoned rice, and the fillings were fresh and flavorful. I also got the melon soda, which was light, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet. It added a fun, nostalgic touch to the meal. The vibe in the Williamsburg location is clean, minimal, and welcoming - great for a casual lunch that still feels special. I'd absolutely come back for another round. What I ordered: Starter Temaki Course * California * Tuna + Avocado * Yellowtail Scallion * Salmon + Cucumber * Spicy Tuna Melon Soda

Really cute hand roll spot in Williamsburg. Had reservations for the weekend and were seated right away even though we were a bit early. They suggest 5 temaki for a full meal but you can order however many you'd like. I had the summer special bbq toro, spicy tuna, jalapeño salmon, scallops, aka ebi. They were all good but my favorite was the scallops and aka ebi. They were well balanced and zesty. Sat at the bar so we were able to talk to the chef and get our preferences for wasabi, etc for each piece. The menu said everything is gluten free, they also have a good amount of vegan selection.

I ordered for delivery and the packaging was so thoughtfully and carefully done. And the signature set I got was fantastic! Really excellent quality and I'm glad I tried this location again.

Delicious, but small portion sizes. I was excited to try Nami Nori since I was visiting from LA and hand rolls are one of my favorite meals! I got the mushroom truffle soup to start which was amazing. If you like cream of mushroom you'd like this. Signature temaki set was $32 which is a fair price, and comes with 5 rolls. Tuna poke, scallop, coconut shrimp, salmon Serrano, and cucumber black sesame. I really loved the non-traditional rolls like coconut shrimp and cucumber black sesame - they were like unlike anything I've tried before. I didn't feel full after the meal so wanted to order their seasonal dessert but they didn't have it so I was disappointed. They also had churros but didn't feel like getting that although they looked amazing. Service was friendly, and they have 3 little bar areas inside and some tables with 1 for a large group in the back. Overall super cute spot, but with a lot of great sushi competition and places to try, I'm not sure this is "the best" but it's worth trying.

4 stars for table service but would give 5 stars for counter service. But honestly I think service was great, everything was great, but I think the weird plastic on the hand rolls really took away from the experience. We did notice that those sitting on the counter do not have the plastic wraps so I think the plastic wraps at table service is to prevent the seaweed from going soft since it's brought as platters. Ok so fish is on par with other handroll places. Not the best quality but good enough. Do appreciate that I can taste and feel the fish as compared to say kasunori where I mostly taste the rice. (Kazunori rice and seaweed is better though). Clam soup I would not do again but it was a cold day. It's a fine soup, just small and had three clams. Miso soup with clams, simple and good. We got a beer and sake too and they were very attentive in recommending us options and heating things up. Service was really good so overall still a great experience.

We decided to check this place out for restaurant week! Immediately you're greeted by a great atmosphere (good music, clean & spacious place, welcoming staff). You can be seated by the bar for a more intimate experience and watch the chefs make the pieces in front of you or you can sit at the tables! We started with their miso soup & furikake fries which were crispy! We then got the starter set ($30) which included 5 temaki. The nori sheets on the side so that it wouldn't get soggy, I enjoyed the diy aspect of that haha. Every piece was delicious and fresh! Decided to also try out their other hand rolls too, I got the x.o scallop. Was a little disappointed by the scallop temaki because it was overpowered by the flavor from the x.o. flakes but the scallop itself was fresh & citrusy from the lemon! Glad I gave this place a try after seeing so many tiktoks about it! Definitely a solid option to visit for restaurant week.

apps: we got the shishito peppers and fries, both were excellent and loved the sauces they came with vegan temaki set was perfect, my favorite was the tofu chimichurri one but they were all unique and different dessert: mochi churros with lemon curd were fantastic service was excellent as well, easy for vegetarians/allergies

The meat is just absolutely perfect...melt in your mouth, moderately seasoned and delicate enough to put it all together with the noodles. The establishment is a bit smaller so it is recommended to get a reservation beforehand. But walkins are also welcomed I suppose. They have a high top area that is nice for having a front row seat to the action in the kitchen. Th music is good but random haha. Service was good the first time. But could've been better my second visit.

Had dinner at Za-Ya in Brooklyn and tried the Gyukotsu Miso Ramen ($19), Saba ($12), Saikoro Steak…read more($14), and the Cucumber starter ($8). The ramen was everything you want in a bowl -- a hearty, beef bone marrow broth with layers of flavor, bouncy chewy noodles, and an egg cooked perfectly. The short rib inside was extremely tender, and the toppings of fried garlic, green onions, and wood ear mushrooms added even more depth. The saba (miso-braised mackerel) was another highlight: extremely tender and moist, probably the best-prepared mackerel I've had, with a miso sauce that complemented it perfectly. The saikoro steak came as chunky, tender bites with a soy-vinegar garlic sauce that tied it all together beautifully. And the cucumber starter was cold, refreshing, and carried a nice spicy kick. Za-Ya nails Japanese comfort food with care and balance. The ramen and saba alone are worth the trip, and the sides round out a very satisfying meal.
