Used the online ordering on a Sunday for delivery around 7pm for a baked ziti pizza. It was simple to do and the pizza was here in 30 minutes. Really the baked ziti pizza is fat on starch on carbs. I wanted it to be delicious, I really did. With the pasta sauce, ricotta, and cheese, you would expect more flavor, however unfortunately this wasn't the case. Sadly, it was rather bland, overall. I needed to add Parmesan myself to this thick pizza to give it some taste, any taste, which I normally don't do. The pasta adds more volume to this pizza and the crust would have benefited from being a bit thinner. May try this place again someday, maybe, but I'm not rushing to place another order anytime soon. read more

We really like their specialty pies and usually order the Margherita, Grandma or Eggplant Rollatini. The pies have a normal amount of sauce, but we like the sauce and always get them with extra sauce. Today we got Margherita and it was even better than usual, not sure what changed but crust, sauce and cheese all tasted better. Also got a chicken parmigiana sandwich, both chicken and eggplant are always very good and you can ask for extra sauce on the side for the sandwiches. read more

We have been eating in at Anthony Franco's for years. The food is still decent and plentiful but the service has deteriorated considerably. If a restaurant has a dining room, shouldn't it be staffed? It's hard to get the attention of a waitress even to place an order. Once the food arrives, you can forget about ever seeing her again. Had to go up to the counter to request containers for leftovers and our bill. If you don't want to service the numerous tables in your restaurant, why not put up a sign saying takeout and counter service only? Abysmal service! read more

Absolutely amazing food! The chicken Parm, penne alla vodka and Cesar salads are awesome! Slices are always on point, i especially love the chicken delight! They also have a party room, on which I hosted a bridal shower. Food was awesome! They made delicious sandwich platters, along with great apps and pasta dishes. Everyone was raving about the food. Nice place, very clean and the staff is very friendly and attentive. However the pizza was bland and had no taste. I think they need a different sauce and better quality mozzarella. Also the wings and calamari were something that came out of a frozen bag. I would recommend making ur own batter and frying both calamari and wings. You guys need a signature food something homemade and fresh. I really wanted to make this place my go to for the family because it has a big dining area but the food has to be better. One that stands out above the rest is the Anthony Franco's located in Wayne, NJ. The staff is always friendly and professional. I am especially pleased at the cleanliness of this location. The pizza is always tasty and delicious. Whenever I try new items from their menu such as grilled wraps, ziti pasta, or even garden salads I am always satisfied. You may think Anthony Franco's is just a pizza place, but it's that and so much more. They have a chef and great Italian food, that is all delicious and plentiful. The waitresses are all very good, and the warm toasted bread is so good, and you can bring your favorite bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal. They also have a wide variety of Pizza, specialty pies, calzones, stromboli's, garlic knots, etc at the counter. The crust was a bit under-cooked and the other ingredients were nothing special. This is average pizza for above average prices. When you think about the best cities in the US for pizza, Brooklyn, Providence and New Haven come to mind. On the other end of the spectrum, when evaluating the cities you would anticipate to have the worst in America, one would expect to see cities in Iowa, Arkansas or New Mexico headlining America's worst. Surprisingly despite the presence of many Italian-Americans in the area, Wayne, New Jersey boasts pizza so universally awful, it deserves to be considered among the worst in the country. I choose to review here because many residents point to Anthony Franco's as the best in town. This really just illustrates how bad the local pizza scene is as this pizza is truly inedible. There is so much oil from the cheese it serves as a reminder that thanks to the Williston Basin and Anthony Franco's pizza, the US is now the world's leading oil producer. This is a "6 napkin" slice, meaning you need 6 napkins to get the oil off of it. Trouble is management at Anthony Franco's has evidently decided that the best way to improve their profit margins is to ration napkins as strictly as possible (which is hard to imagine considering what they charge for their pizza and what they must pay for ingredients). The tomato sauce has a ketchup feel, but sadly more Hunt's than Heinz. They even saved a buck there. The crust is powdery and bland. When you put it all together the pizza is just plain bad, and leaves you with that regrettable "I wish I didn't eat this feeling" after you are done. Last point on the prices. They charge $40 for a half tray of baked ziti. Let me repeat $40 for a half tray of ziti. That is Rao's pricing for Ragu quality. Same story with the pizza, sticking with the oil theme, you paying for premium yet only getting 75 octane in the tank. Sadly I can't recommend another pizza in Wayne because Tony's, Neil's, etc. are no better, and perhaps even worse. Best thing to do is just head out of town if pizza is on your mind. Amazing that Wayne can't make an even edible pizza. Good news for residents is that it is very easy to stick to your diets with this place. read more

Their pizza is awesome, salads and wraps are good I don't think any of us at my job have had a bad meal from here some of us even order to take home for dinner since we live out of the area. Went to Antony Franco's on a Saturday evening for sit down service in the dining room. Gnocchi and Calzone were excellent as was the service. Price for the meal was very reasonable and highly recommend if you are looking for some very good Italian food in a casual environment. read more

This used to be our go to neighborhood pizza/Italian food destination, but lately we have been disappointed. The restaurant is worn out with torn booths and sticky tables.. The seafood dishes are often overcooked. The serving staff is kids only and the service has suffered. We will look elsewhere for local Italian dining. read more
