Hubby and I were excited to try a new breakfast spot, however were disappointed with the experience. Wait staff wasn't the best however I'm not reviewing this restaurant based on the waitress. The atmosphere was nice but the food was very lackluster. My french toast had no flavor and the thin syrup that I had to wait for five minutes after the food arrived, did not help. My scrambled eggs were runny and the bacon wasn't crispy. Hubby's omelet was average because it was overcooked. His pancake was undercooked. That may have happened because the waitress forgot to put in our order and ended up having to rush it. The bright spot for me was the delicious coffee but since hubby doesn't drink coffee I guess the orange juice was good for him? We will not return but will stick to our usual spot in Denton. read more

Dina and Annie are amazing here. We came to eat here and were greeted with a huge hello! We had the city grits, crescent city scrambler, banana foster's french toast and the kiwi-mango mimosas. The food was hot and delicious and the service was amazing. If you want a good breakfast with great, friendly service, go to Another Broken Egg Cafe! read more

I love the pancakes and bacon here! Our server Anna was the best. She's so sweet and got us everything we needed. Will definitely be coming back and requesting her!! read more

Decided to try a new breakfast spot with my cousin this morning. The wait was about 20 minutes to get a table and another 20-25 minutes after we ordered. The long wait time was made up for the complimentary beigneigts our waitress gave us, which were delicious! They came with a honey marmalade that really made the dish. My cousin ordered the French toast with a side of eggs and sausage. She said it was pretty average, normal bread for the French toast and the syrup was a bit runny. I got the broken egg chicken & biscuit sandwich. Egg was over easy and cooked perfectly so that the yolk broke over the sandwich. The biscuit and chicken tender were tasty, and the sausage gravy that was on top of the tender was yummy. It also came with a side of potatoes which were good! Overall a nice place to get brunch (closes at 2!) read more

We returned to this location for breakfast (cause love another broken egg sites) and had an amazing experience. Emily and Trinity were pleasant and the food was amazing. Omelette cooked to perfection...all kitchens get busy and make mistakes and when they do, great service can make all the difference! read more

Came here for Sunday brunch because my boyfriend wanted waffles and I wanted mimosas! And We were not disappointed! I had the Mardi Gras omelette which was fantastic and he had the Belgium waffles which he said were the best waffles he's had! We got a pitcher of the mimosas and it was a splash of oj and a whole bottle of champagne! Just like I like it! Highly recommend and will be back! It was very busy when we came but that's a good sign always! read more

The food is amazing and our server Kierstin was absolutely unbelievable. She made sure all of our needs were met in a timely manner and had a great personality to boot. We really enjoyed our experience here and will be sure that we are seated with this fantastic young lady every time we visit!! read more

Thought we would try this...it was a bust. The coffee tasted like they had put some sort of cleaner in it....terrible. The sausage patties were dry like they had been cooked earlier and reheated to serve. My wife's eggs looked like an accident on a plate. And to top it off breakfast was $10 more than we pay at other local restaurants for similar but better tasting meals....wrote this place off. read more

Horrible service! They were incredibly inefficient and poorly managed. We had 5 party's who arrived after us that were seated ahead of us despite having a hungry 15 month old. Once we got our food, which took a very long time, the portions were tiny, especially for the high prices. (7.99 extra doe two medium sized pancakes). We will definitely not be going back. read more

We visited this location today for breakfast. We were seated outside, and our server's name was Trinity. After ordering our food we had asked Trinity if she would check on our food, as it had been 35 minutes since the order was placed. After completing our meal, we asked for the check. When I looked at the receipt, I noticed that we were charged $8.99 per mimosa. We then explained to her that the menu that we were given stated that the mimosas were $7.99. Trinity said; she would check with her manager. Several minutes later the manager came to our table and showed us her menu; showing that the mimosas were $8.99. We explained to the manager that you can not give a menu with one price and then charge us from a different menu. She agreed and went back to revise the bill. Shortly after, our server Trinity returned to our table and said to us: "thank you for complaining to my manager over one dollar." When we asked her if she was joking, she stated: "no." We then asked her if she was being sarcastic, she replied; "yes!" and then told us to have a nice day. We then asked her if she was for real with her comment, and she replied; "yes." She never apologized to us for her actions. We explained to her that this was not about the one dollar, but about the fact that you cannot offer a customer one price and then charge them another. We have never ever been spoken too like that by a server. She made us feel belittled and embarrassed us in front of the other customers. She was completely in the wrong and extremely unprofessional. I strongly feel that Trinity should not be in the service industry as she had no remorse about the way she treated us and making us feel cheap. Furthermore, she could not understand the concept of what we were trying to explain to her about the different prices. I guess this is what happens when you hire someone who is not trained in people skills, immature and ignorant in understanding that the customer has a right to question their bill. I can guarantee, that I will NEVER return to this location and if you do go be sure not to sit in Trinity's section. Customers beware! read more

This place is awesome. We have to wait for just a bit on weekends but so worth the meals. Everything we have tried so far as been incredible. Shay is awesome, we just love her. All the other wait staff is great as well. read more

Today was our 2nd time to have brunch at Another Broken Egg in The Cafe. The food is wonderful....the Belgian Waffle is fantastic! I especially liked today's visit because Kay was our waitress! She took a real personal interest in us (we swapped stories about Hawaii) and she even called us by our names :) I'm kind of picky about how my eggs are cooked and she made sure they were perfect! She was able to keep that fine balance between being very attentive, but not hovering. We'll be going back soon and I'm definitely going to request her to be our server. Thanks Kay!! read more

Today was our first time to Another Broken Egg. It was one of the highlights of our short trip to North Dallas. The food was outstanding. I understand that there are a number of these cafes around but this is the only one who has Kay. Her service was excellent and her positive attitude was infectious. read more

The best experience I've had at this restaurant by far!!! Ask for Kay - she is a great waitress and so sweet.

This place is perfect for brunch! There was a wait of 20 mins, the food was so worth it. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits- ask for the City grits. They were delish! Must try . Also, try an order of the beignets if you have a sweet tooth. read more

Enjoyed the Shrimp N Grits this morning with a wonderful espresso. My son loved his dollar pancakes. 953 I would recommend the shrimp n grits with the city grits. As the bartender/barista explained it, "Its a flavor explosion" in your mouth. l Its an open dining area with a contemporary farm feel, and offers legit breakfast options in TC. It our new favorite breakfast location. read more

Eggcellent Service and great selection. Place was pretty empty on a weekday. Hope this place stays open. A good go-to breakfast spot.

A beautiful hidden gem with delicious good, refreshing drinks and friendly service. A definite come back!

Nice atmosphere, wait staff friendly, food delicious. Big drawback!!!! It took an hour to get our food after we ordered it. We will give it one more try but if results are same we will not go back read more

One of my favorite brunch places! There are so many great options on the menu making it so hard to pick! I've tried a few of the omelettes and haven't been disappointed read more

Amazing food!!!! Amazing staff! We can't wait to come again! Loved the atmosphere and so pleased it's across the street from work.

Another wonderful breakfast in the books. We had Trinity as our waitress and she was FANTASTIC! The food was fantastic. The carrot cake pancakes were soooo good! Thank you again Trinity for being so wonderful! PS try the Rowandan coffee blend! It is phenomenal! read more

Poor service, menu is pretty weak and over priced. Out of a few items for "awhile now".

This place made a good impression on me starting with the friendly hostess and waitresses holding the door open for us as we walked in. We were sat immediately to a table around 11 am on a Saturday. The decorations are Texas themed and it's a super cute place all around. We started off with some bloody marys which were delicious and strong. I had then Effen Cucumber Mary. The garnish made the drinks look so pretty. Since it was our first time, the waitress brought out some biscuit beignets covered in powdered sugar with orange marmalade on the side. SO good but pretty heavy before a meal. We took the rest home to-go. For brunch I had the carne asada tots. Delicious. Plenty of food to eat and take home. My boyfriend had the salmon power bowl. That was just as wonderful. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Another Broken Egg is now my favorite brunch spot! read more

I've been eating here about once a week since they opened . I really like the food , they use range free eggs and other healthy options and it taste great. The service is always excellent too. I live close by and this is my favorite place in the area for breakfast. read more

Very impressed with the quality of food and drinks this place serves. They have traditional dishes, and then a wide variety of original dishes that you don't see anywhere else. The drinks were very good, and also original. I highly recommend this spot for brunch. read more

When I go into a new restaurant, the main part of business I focus on is the customer service. The woman at the bar was very pleasant, but my waitress had a vibe. I watched her at other tables and noticed she did not offer me the same pleasantries as the other patrons. I informed her that this was my first time, her response, " Ok look the menu over." The rest of my meal went the same way. I watched her offer the complimentary appetizer, give detailed information on the food, and participate in polite conversation with other customers. The food is decent, the service is biased. read more

Definitely a must GO! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I had the Lemon Berry mimosa and the shrimp and grits, but make sure you ask for the City grits. You will not be disappointed. read more

My boys and I visited a few days ago. They have some excellent and unique breakfast options. My son grabbed the Cinnamon roll French toast and it was really good. My other boy got the chocolate chip pancakes from the kids menu and said he really enjoyed them. I kind of hit a spare though. I had waffles and chicken and i wouldn't order it again. The chicken wasn't seasoned and had nearly no taste. For chicken and waffles, I'll stick to Ide Claire in Addison. Those are phenomenal. We will return in the near future to they some of their other menu choices. Just hope I don't bat into a double play. read more

We had along wait for our food. When it finally came, my club sandwich was unrecognizable. There was a slap of shredded turkey on the bread, which looked like the stuff you throw away after you have cut slices of turkey. The "club" was two pieces of toast, with the bacon, lettuce, and tomato on a side plate. When the manager came over, he was non responsive and confused. I suggested he eat it but he declined. And the price was excessive, even it had been a real sandwich. Others in our party also found the food mediocre. The pancakes were similar to those that came out of a box and are microwaved. Even the omelet was tasteless. Poor food quality, unbelievable presentation, poor service, and lack of a coherent manager guaranteed this food/service establishment a long and dreary slide into it's out grease pit. read more

We have been twice to The Colony location. The food was enjoyable, but the service was surprisingly slow for a breakfast joint...you may wonder if they are slow cooking a pork shoulder rather than pan-frying a couple of eggs and potatoes. The wait is always long and we have left several times when we attempted to get a bite for breakfast after they told us how long the wait is. After finally eating there it makes sense why the wait is so long...the service and/or the kitchen are s-l-o-w. read more

My friend and I met here for Brunch. It was my first time and her 2nd. What a fabulous experience we had. The food was good, but the service was over the top Amazing! Bracus was the BEST server we have ever encountered. We thought this guy owned the place, because he had spent so much of his own money and time to make it special for us. For example fresh flowers on our table, put down our own place mats , silverware, napkins (not like the other tables who got theirs rolled up into a napkin and no place mat). Our waters came with different kinds of fresh fruit in them, our meals was served perfectly and to top it off he bought us DESSERT ! WOW just WOW , who does that ‼ Bracus even brought us yummy smelling hand sanitizer and gum before we left. He anticipated our every need before we needed it. He visited with us like we were old friends. Walked us to the door, when we left ,like a gentleman. Barcus should be working at a 5 star resort or on a private yacht somewhere. His attention to detail was impeccable. DO NOT let anyone else be your serve when you go here. He makes you feel like royalty! YOU Must go and experience being served by the BRACANATIOR ‼ read more

Update: 3/11/18 This establishment really needs to change vendors for coffee and tea. Both are subpar and today I watch numerous patrons send their coffee back. My iced tea was atrocious. Great food. Really liked the bananas foster French toast. Been here several times now. Come prepared as you will spend quite a bit of time here. Servers have been great, but the kitchen is really slow compared to other breakfast joints in the area. read more

The best breakfast place in north Dallas hands down, love this place and visit weekly. Kiersten rocks!

Wow. What a great find! Tremendous selection of brunch items and bar drinks. You have to sit at the bar and get to know Shay. She is fantastic. She knows her food and her customers. The Cajun choices were my favorite - lobster Brie omelette and the breakfast sausage were fabulous. Don't forget the city grits and beignets! This could become a weekly obsession. read more

Omelet was so dry it crumbled, even salsa couldn't save it..English muffin didn't seem toasted at all, the butter wouldn't melt, Bloody Mary was so spicy it was undrinkable...biscuits were under cooked in biscuits and gravy, pancake was flat not fluffy... the meal was a fail but there was no wait and the service good read more

brunch was awesome! specials were very good. I tried the eggs Benedict from the specials menu. loved it! affordable and good food

The manager was so kind and the waitress Kay was literally the best we've EVER had! She was nice and very efficient, both of which can be hard to come by these days. On top of that she was super fun, which made our visit very enjoyable. This was our second time here at this location, and both times, the food was insanely delicious! If we could, we would come every day! Family fav! read more
