I came here awhile ago and I absolutely loved it! The food was delightful and it had so much flavor, the food was also plated very well to the point where I couldn't wait to eat it! Us being first time customers they gave us free beignets and a dipping sauce. These were very sweet and very tasty, it worked as an amazing appetizer for our table as we waited. The food had finally arrived to our table and trust me when I say it looked amazing It looked amazing! I ordered the chicken and waffles and they were so good, they had more then enough seasoning to make it just the right flavor. My Ex-Husband ordered omelets and potatoes and he was more then happy with his meal, they had so much seasoning and the toppings for the omelet were more then generous. The bathrooms were very clean and very well maintained to my standard which is very high! My second time coming (a few days ago) was better then my first. They had plenty of Covid-19 procedures that kept me and the family safe. This time I ordered the pancakes and scrabbled eggs. They were amazing and its safe to say I will be coming back! read more

I don't understand what all the hype is about. Every time I drive by this place it's always busy. I was excited to try out a new restaurant for breakfast. I was incredibly disappointed in the food. Our waiter was great, but the food was horrible. We ordered a veggie omelet, breakfast potatoes, toast, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy. My eggs were the worst eggs I've ever ordered from a restaurant. All of the food literally tasted like it came straight out of the microwave. Even the toast tasted stale and it had no flavor. The sausage was rubbery and had a strange flavor, it didn't even taste like sausage. My husband looked at me put down his fork and said "wow!" We didn't finish our food and we left the restaurant feeling ripped off. I don't like posting negative reviews, and I always try to find something positive to say in my posts, but I was just really disappointed and I don't plan on coming back. read more

The food was good. I had asked for lobster Benedict but the manager said they could not do it today but I could order lobster Brio Omelette. They had done it for me before but this day they would not do it service was OK. read more

Food is amazing and the mimosas are worth the trip alone. The staff is always friendly and helpful!

Wow such a quality breakfast! There is no comparison, fresh ingredients, quality service and real homemade feel, with generous portions, nice hidden little secret in the colony read more

Fantastic quality brunch food. We had the best server and are now seeing Trinity regularly, it's always a pleasure to stop in and be treated with true hospitality and great food. 5/5 stars! read more

This has become our favorite brunch spot. Hands down the best Eggs Bendedict in the area. Very clean, great service, never disappointed. We are weekly customers now. read more

Great food and atmosphere!!!!! I had the lobster omelet with a waffle, which was super delicious;-)

Best brunch place around!! We sat at the bar with Shay, who is AMAZING...she calls all the people at the bar, "family". The food is good, the drinks are great and the service is second to none. Highly recommend! read more

First time visiting this establishment. Very clean, friendly wait staff, awesome food. Salmon Benedict was delicious. A nice blend of tastes for the palate. Waitstaff attentive and courteous. When I go again I will definitely request to sit in Trinity's area. read more

My family and I arrived at 12:15pm and were seated just after 12:30pm. At 1:40pm we asked our server if our food would be out soon. We were told that our food was being made as fast as it can. We brought up the fact that tables that were sat well after us were getting their food before us, we were told that they were not sat after us. I asked the hostess if we could speak to a manager. When the manager finally arrived, he was not professional and did not introduce himself by name, all he said was I heard y'all wanted to talk to me. We explain to him the situation, and his response to us was that the food was cooking and that he can't control how long that it takes. He said he would see what he could do, then told us that he had to go back to the kitchen because he himself was cooking and then just walked away from the table. Our food arrived at 1:50pm. My food never showed up and neither did my husbands cinnamon roll. Our server never did a 2 minute checked back. Eventually another server came up to the table to see if we were doing all right and I let her know that I did not receive my food and that my husband was missing some of his food. She immediately apologized and walked into the kitchen. About 10 seconds later our server comes out with what is supposed to be my food and puts it down in front of me, it was old and I can tell that I had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while and that it just had never come out. I handed it back to the server and let her know that I didn't want it. She asked me why I didn't want it and I told her because its been sitting under the heat lamp. She then told me that it's fresh and had just came out. I understand that there's problems and issues and sometimes kitchens get behind but what I don't appreciate is being lied to and treated like I'm being crazy when I'm trying to explain to them that our food is taking forever or that we're missing food. read more

This place is great. I come here for the bar tending service. Kierstin is a great server. Very funny and interactive with guest. And always very tentative. The whole reason I keep coming here!!! read more

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots to eat. Our waitress/bartender Keirstin is awesome and extremely nice.

Anna was amazing!!! Best service I've had. Super attentive and on top of everything. I will definitely be back to sit with her again!

This was our first time eating here. Food was very good, variety of selections. But, Trinity P recommendation for the stuffed blackberry French toast was a 'sweet' treat. She's a five star employee! Thanks Trinity! read more

The food was excellent and service was stellar! Definitely recommending this location to friends.

This is Grant here, a frequent customer. Just want to say... this place is awesome. Shay is awesome. Food is great. Coffee is REALLY good. Did I mention that the food is great, or that Shay is awesome? Because both of them are! Six stars out of five. read more

Nice Breakfast spot. We have had 5-15 min of wait. Good food.. service needs to be better

The food was great and our server (Nick) was awesome! I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

Absolutely love Another Broken Egg Café!! My obsession started while visiting Pensacola, FL. Then they opened one in Indianapolis, IN where I lived, and now we have one in The Colony, TX where I currently live. A little piece of home everywhere I go!!! I've been to at least 5 different locations, they all serve coffee and mini muffins while you wait for your table (if you even have to wait.) Coffee is always so delicious, and served in the cutest pottery mugs, which I plan to start collecting. The menu is very creative, but I usually end up with the Hey Lucy! omelet, served with the little potato hash browns and English muffin. Don't leave off the pepper sauce, it's so delicious. If it's not already on the table, ask for it! My only complaint is that the alcoholic drinks (mimosas and bloody mary's) are a little bit steep when you compare to other breakfast/brunch locations. They don't ever seem to have specials on them and they come in a tiny glass that doesn't really fit the price. If I want a breakfast/brunch with mimosas I'll probably have to go elsewhere with a tear in my eye. Y'all are great! Keep up the delicious work! read more

Ordered delivery through DoorDash. We received our order quickly, but the food wasn't very good. I had pancakes and they tasted a bit off. They came with bacon and eggs that were both inedible. The bacon was burnt and the eggs were very greasy. Definitely not worth the high prices. The beignets were good though! read more

Hands down the best breakfast we've ever had!!! The waitress made was great, The restaurant was clean such a friendly delicious stop for us on a long trip. read more

First time here. Pleased with menu selection and the service was great. Will come back again to see if consistency prevails.

We love siting at the bar with Shay! Breakfast and blueberry lemon mimosas are the best, the service and ambience is something that keeps you coming back. read more

Place was not super busy at 9am. We were afraid of the wait times with small kids. Everyone enjoyed their food from the smallest to the oldest. We liked the coffee they had on seasonal promo. My hubby and I are Java heads so we rate the coffee everywhere we go. Food was good and I had a hard time deciding but think I will shop around until I find my favorite. This place makes it hard to eat healthy and I just may cave and try those cinnamon French toast rolls I saw come out of the kitchen! read more

This location has always been one of our favorite breakfast spots. However, we had family in from out of town and visited today. Everything was a bit off including our entrees. Not near as good as previous visits. Did ownership change?? read more

I was first greeted by two employees at the front that told me to sit at the bar. Then I ended up bussing my own table after 6 employees walked by and just looked at me. Then I waited 42 minutes to get my food which ended up being cold. I couldn't believe how miss managed this place was today. read more

This is the best breakfast in The Colony. Hands down. I've been to ABE twice now in a month. First visit was on a Monday morning and the place was dead. Second visit this fine Saturday morning after an 08:00 soccer game so we were starving, and the place was packed. We signed in with the hosts and were texted a link to the no wait app, which is way cool btw and this was my first experience using it. The small waiting area was full and the weather was cold and windy for April in Texas so we just waited in our car and it was quite nice actually. 20 minutes later we were walking in and promptly seated. I needed a Bloody Mary and they have really good ones here. Great flavor and perfect spice level. Now to the food. I will say that on both visits the only downside was that the service is a tad slow. The antidote to slow service is as we all know, really good food. This place has it. I always use Eggs Benedict as a benchmark for a breakfast joint, and the order I received on my first visit was absolutely delicious. Hollandaise was perfect consistency, eggs cooked beautifully and ham instead of Canadian bacon was no big deal. Loved it, and I was getting over being sick so double bonus that I could even taste it! Home fries on the side are good and crispy as well. Very tasty. They offer other renditions of EB as well which I'm intrigued by. My Dad ordered the sausage biscuit and gravy meal and was very impressed. So was I. The sausage is obviously house made with a wonderful consistency and flavor with hints of thyme and rosemary. It was so good that I ordered it on my second visit today. Consistency is key at a good restaurant and this was just as good if not better than the plate my Dad ordered. Eggs over easy, perfect. Home fries, perfect. Sausage and biscuits and gravy, perfect. I will tell you it's a good idea to not have anything planned after brunch here, except a four hour nap maybe which is exactly what I did. Comatose. The rest of the menu is very French oriented so I am anxious to get back and try more of the "local" cuisine that this menu is based on. At this point I don't think there is a bad dish available. The bar is fully stocked as well. Hell I haven't even had the beignets yet. Will be back!! read more

Ordered the food through Grubhub. Overall the food is way overrated and overpriced. I'm a Louisianan and thought I'd give the shrimp and grits a try. Overall a good attempt, though considering how cheap grits are you sure don't get enough for the high price. Probably a good general spice level for most, but lacking in flavor. I paid $5 for a small cup of OJ. The wording on the menu hints that they freshly squeezed the oranges and made it themselves but it just taste like regular old store bought. Also ordered the Benny burger and potatoes. Again lacking in flavor across the board. The burger patty itself was tasteless and dried out. It either wasn't fresh or just terribly overcooked.Hollandaise sauce was pretty bland. read more

We went here this morning for a quick bite & cup of coffee, let me tell you this place is amazing we had a wonderful server Shay, from the atmosphere to the food, 5 stars from us! read more

If I were reviewing only the food, setting, location and greeter this would be a four or five. However, the waitress can have a lot of impact on the experience and this was absolutely some of the worst service I can remember having. There was never a hello, thank you, a smile or conversation of any kind and effectively no waiting on our table. We waited about 10 minutes after ordering coffee before she returned and we reminded her it hadn't come. Again, she really couldn't have been less friendly. It was bad to the point of being confusing as she seemed so unhappy and disinterested in being there. Had she lost a bet and was being forced to wait tables? Was she being held against her will? Was she under the impression I had seriously wronged her in some way and she needed to avoid us? This was also not a case of being overworked as I saw her covering three tables with fewer than 10 people in total and certainly no work was directed toward us. It's almost an afterthought for me to mention there was an error with part of our order. There are a lot of choices in the area and you can't have someone representing your business to customers in this way. Even though I was very happy with the food, the service will be all I remember. read more

I wish they didn't close at two so could have a more leisurely late brunch on a lazy Sunday. But the food is great, chicken and biscuit was crisp and good ratio of meat to biscuit to gravy. read more

I really wanted to like this place, it had a nice vibe, cool coffee cups, but man that was the extent of the positive. This was our second time visiting but we hadn't been back since it opened, due to the food taking 45 minutes to arrive the first time around. Well it happened again, food took 45 minutes again to arrive. Then on top of that, the food just wasn't good. I had the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. The eggs looked like they had been sitting in a tin pan for 5 hours. The gravy did not taste good at all. I am no chef but i know i could have made better. read more

Great food! Highly recommend the shrimp and grits! The chicken and waffles is a good choice as well. Pretty popular restaurant so be paper to wait. Always busy. Overall good place. read more

Service is good and friendly. You get complimentary beignets if you wish. They were good although covered with massive amounts of powdered sugar. I had scrambled eggs, which were good. My husband's over medium eggs were perfect. Bacon was oven cooked and perfect! None of this microwave crap. Homemade sausage was good although bacon definitely beats it by a long shot. It's a nice tough with the salt and pepper grinders. Husband loves the grits. I had potatoes. They were seasoned well and crispy on the outside, perfect on the inside. They do have their own hot sauce but it's a bit sweet. English muffins could be toasted more. It's a bit on the expensive side but they do use mostly quality ingredients. (Not o fan of their butter packets) yes we will be back! read more

Awesome real food! Home made is everything these days. Y'all should open a spot in California. I think it would do well in LA and SD :)

We went on Saturday 3/25 around 10:30 and were told it would be a 10-15 min wait and that they would text us when it was our turn. We waited outside since it was crowded. We came back in after about 25 minutes to see if they had our table ready, since we had yet to be called. They told us that they had notified us via text several times that it was our turn and had skipped us. We were standing 20 feet away and got their initial message telling us we were in line, but none after that. They asked us to wait inside and that they would put us at the next available table. The three hostesses talked together for a minute, and one went to look for a table for us. Another hostess then called a couple who had arrived after us to sit at the same table they found for us. We tried to call her and get her attention, but she walked away. We decided it wasn't worth the effort and walked out, hungry and irritated. I don't want to put a 1 star review because they just opened and obviously there is going to be an adjustment period. Hopefully they will improve over time, but we won't be returning anytime soon! read more

It takes a lot to please me but Another Broken Egg Cafe did just that! We came in on a busy Sunday morning after checking in ahead of time via the Yelp app. After waiting about 10-15 minutes outside, Shay, the bartender, came out to tell us about a bar top for 2 that she had available. This was the best thing that could have happened! She was attentive, outgoing and provided the best service that we have experienced in a while. I had the Crescent City Scramble and my fiancé had the Bacquezo omelette. Neither disappointed! We live 50 miles away but because of the service we received from Shay and the food we devoured, we will definitely be back. Thanks Shay for making our Sunday a great one! read more
