never actually ate here and it's our first time, it was kind of weird how we were notified to check in but when we arrived, we were denied service. we got a text at 1:17pm & arrived at 1:20pm since we were waiting in our car. maybe we'll try again.

Cookie dough waffle with eggs and bacon, and a Chorizo & Avocado Omelette with country potatoes !

Great food, great ambiance, service is great, great prices. Our second time here and we were not disappointed! Food was fresh and delicious.

Delicious BLT+A was great and delicious, bacon was thick and sweet. Raspberry sweet tea was extra sweet Playground outside great for kids.

We had a very nice breakfast here today! The waitress was very friendly! I had the Monterey omelette (very tasty and the eggs were very fluffy), we also had the skinny omelette which I don't recommend, not much taste and the egg whites were dry! It was a good place to get together with friends!

The restaurant was partially busy, with one section clearly occupied. At the time, none of the seats at the bar were taken. The bartender was very hospitable and provided me with both the regular and summer menus, as well as a glass of water. She also asked if I would like anything else, such as coffee. Similar to the former Southlake location, I initially browsed their seasonal menu. I knew I could always order from the regular menu at a later time. I opted for the Soft Shell Scrambler. The crab was a generous portion. With the addition of scrambled eggs, several slices of andouille sausage, and potatoes, it became a substantial meal. Since the lemon aioli was applied near the end of the preparation, most of it fell on top of the crab, with some over the eggs. Apart from the green onions, there was hardly any indication of regular onions within the scrambled eggs. The sole sore spot was the coffee. Although the taste was enjoyable, there were grounds in the cup.

It's a smaller restaurant, limited number of booths available. We were sat in a corner table. Server was friendly. Food was great, prices were affordable. I had lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes that were amazing. House made sausage was good too.

The food and service was amazing. Can't wait to go back. The ambiance of the place was a whole vibe. Felt comfy there and the coffee was really good too. Will come back!

This was a chill spot we found for a late breakfast/early lunch. It's located in a strip plaza with plenty of parking. The menu has plenty of options. We were a party of 7, so we got to try a few different items. My fav dish was the shrimp and grits! We also tried the Floridian omelette. It wasn't bad, but living in Maryland has me spoiled with all things crab, so it was slightly underwhelming, but still good. And lastly, was the strawberry pound cake french toast! Barely needed syrup. Very good dish! Liberty was our waitress and she was super sweet! She was patient with our party and got everything correct. Thanks again, Liberty!!!

Introduced some folks to this place today. We enjoyed every minute of it! Loraine great customer service and did her best to describe their seasonal Lemon Pound Cake French Toast and I see why. All I can say is I am continuing to eat it. For me syrup is not necessary. My guests said that their meal had perfect seasoning and was prepared well! The French toast was flavorful, the syrup took it over the top. AMAZING!!! Perfect seasoning and preparation. I agree with this sentiment, I tasted the potatoes and they were crispy with the right amount of seasoning. Just enough lighting, clean 10/10

Shrimp 'N Grits, Blackberry Smash Mocktail, Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes, Crab Cake Benedict

This place is such a gem. Aside from the traditional brunch items, we enjoyed the seasonal flavors. I was surprised when my husband ordered the maple spice cold brew & loved it (as he does not normally drink coffee or usually go for seasonal flavors). I enjoyed the shrimp n grits with the blackberry smash mocktail. We also enjoyed the lemon blueberry pancakes with goat cheese. Service was fantastic! So will definitely come by again when we're in the area.

We came here on our last day in town as it was close to the hotel and we wanted to eat somewhere we had not eaten before. They were not busy (not surprised after eating there) and we got seated quickly. Server got our drink orders and $3.99 for a cup of regular coffee seems high to me. $3.29 for an iced tea and $4.19 for a cup of hot cocoa. I was excited to see chilaquiles on the menu and ordered them. Oh they were so sad. Not all all like I am used to. The portion size was so small, they had chorizo on them, sunny side eggs. I got breakfast potatoes as my side and they were crispy but flavorless. My husband got biscuits and gravy with sausage. Kidlet got chocolate chip pancakes which had a few chocolate chips shoved in the top, but it did come with an egg and a piece of bacon for $6.99 which was probably the best valued meal there. Overall this place was expensive and not very good. It was my least favorite breakfast experience and I would not return if in the area. Food for 4 adults and 1 kid was $94.25 (chilaquiles $14.99, biscuits and gravy $12.99, bacquezo $17.68 side of hollandaise $1.49, biscuit and gravy entree was $17.47).

Went here for breakfast a few days ago. The service was quick, we were seated right away, and were offered coffee, which we gladly ordered. When I saw they had beignets, I had to try them! We ordered the 1/2 order of beignets as we weren't sure if we would like them. It was served with honey maple syrup. They were okay, I mean i expected a little better texture. We also ordered chicken and waffles which tasted good. They were a little dry but not too bad. The coffee was amazing and was served in hand crafted mugs with the name of the restaurant embossed on it, which I absolutely loved!

Pricey-weird sausage-just okay. Menu was good as far as options for adults and kids! Juice options good. I ordered "cinnamon roll French toast" thinking it would be actual bread, but nope! It was flattened cinnamon rolls with fruit and whipped cream and some sauces on it. Very sweet! Beware of the sausage!!! It is made in house according to the menu but I'm not sure that it's pork. It is similar to a hamburger patty (think smash burger) appearance. It had a lot of weird spices and was honestly not good to any of the 6 people in our party. I ended up eating my toddlers waffle as the cinnamon roll French toast was too sweet and "gooey" Bathroom needed major attention. Dark and dungeon like and the regular size stall was out of order.

We ate at a fabulous Broken Egg cafe in Destin, FL, so our expectations were too high for this location. We were there during the week, so it was not crowded at all. Service was very slow and coffee cups were left empty for way too long. Our server (she didn't wear a name tag) would just disappear. We wouldn't see her anywhere. Eggs, omelet, bacon, grits and potatoes were good. "Toasted" English muffins were not toasted at all and would not melt the frozen butter. We had to ask for jam or jelly. She was very slow to bring the ticket and take payment. I thought it was too expensive for what we got and the poor level of service received. If service had been better, I would have given a higher rating. read more

I dont normally write review for restaurants, however, this was worth the mention. I'd ike to start with a good review, our server Lauren was impeccable, quick, great attention to detail. Here was the issue though. Upon questions, I learned that the server I have an unbelievable issue with, his name is brakus. We sat in the corner table by the bathroom which is the ONLY reason I would have realized this, early in our dining, I saw him carrying a couple things of bubbles, initially this wasn't an issue, but then he walked straight into the mens room, where 2 small boys had just shortly gone in, and walked out laughing, without the bubbles. Now, it could have been his family, but I highly doubt that. This interaction witnessed was more than not okay, it was creepy, predatory, and disgusting. Upon further witness, I see him paying closer attention to the children, giving them chocolate and whip cream, giving them treats. This man is a predator and needs to be fired. It shouldn't take a pedestrian to realize this. I've taken a card from the front of the restaurant and will be emailing the manager abut this directly, if something is not done about this I will do all I have to just to be sure he is NEVER around children again. He is grooming kids and that is NOT okay. read more

Today my husband and I experienced the best service we've ever received along with the most delicious brunch we've had in a long time. Run, do not walk, to this gem of a restaurant, and be sure to ask for Bracus as your server. Never before has someone anticipated our needs and waited on us like we were royalty. He went out of his way to suggest we test drive the Bloody Mary mix to be sure it wasn't too spicy, he brought condiments that weren't part of the menu for my egg scramble, he made sure my husband discovered the to die for fresh fruit and homemade biscuits, and most importantly, he got to know us by name and really cared about our experience there. And, believe it or not, he brought us disposable plastic aprons from the kitchen to be sure we weren't pelted by the downpour that took place as we were leaving. We loved this guy, and we'll be back for the wonderful food! read more

I don't typically do reviews but had to take the time to give a 5 star review today because of our waiter Bracus. The food was good but his service was exceptional. Everything my family had was great, hash brown Benedict, salmon power bowl, avocado toast w/ salmon. If you go, try and sit w/ Bracus. He has for sure never met a stranger and made the hostess mistake of making us wait an extra 20 minutes worth the wait. read more

Always a go to spot when the hungry pains start to set in. A favorite are the city grits which are by far the best grits I have had in a restaurant. The prices are hitting always I normally stay under 50 bucks for two ppl so that's a win. I came here on Sunday for brunch with my two very picky daughters. Choosing a place to eat is always a challenge with them mainly because one wants one thing and the other wants the opposite. We did the waitlist check in via Yelp. As soon as we got there our table was ready. We told her it was our first time coming. She offered us complimentary beignets that we're delicious with the marmalade. It took us longer to order only because everything looked so good on the menu. Once our food came out we were disappointed. Everything was delicious! We definitely will be back, we have found a place we all love! read more

I have been frequenting this location for quite some time now and it never disappoints! Some of my favorites are the Shrimp & Grits and the Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes. The waitstaff is very kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. I'm usually taken care of by Santiago, and he not only offers great service, but has also given me great suggestions before (Such as substituting the English muffin on the Crab Cake Benedict with a biscuit instead, makes the entire meal just melt in your mouth!) I will TRY and keep this short. At first the wait was awful! We were told and hour to an hour and a half but they were up front and honest that it would be a while Which was appreciated. We sat on the patio and BRACUS was our server and when I tell you he was nothing short of an ANGEL, it is not an exaggeration. His energy was so vibrant and welcoming, like family! We had a party of 9, 4 adults and 5 kids ranging age 8-3 and I can honestly say I have never had customer service like this before. From the extra fruit added to our water glasses, the menu suggestions based on what he thought we'd like, to the kids table he purchased from his own pocket along with games like connect 4 for the kids to play with. he was AMAZING! THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! We will be making this a regular Sunday spot And that is SOLEY BECAUSE OF HIM! We loved him! He even gave us roses as we left after providing us with organic hand sanitizer and gum on the way out. He was sure to call us by our names throughout the entire time we were there. JUST AMAZING! Cannot wait to come back next Sunday. read more

I have been to 2 Another Broken Egg Cafe locations. I visited the Frankford location today and was highly disappointed (to the point I gave them a 2 star review prior to this). This location has been a home run 3 consecutive weeks in a row. The waitstaff - Awesome The wait time - Awesome The food - STELLAR Hostesses - Sweet as can be My waitress last time was Shay. She's my new bestie and gave us the best service I've received in a long time. She was called in on her day off, propped her daughter up in the back with an iPad and STILL served us with a positive attitude and pleasant demeanor; when most people would just be disgruntled. This place is my new favorite breakfast joint and I've been going to Original House of Pancakes for 20+ years now. Please keep up the good work, this city is not forgiving when you don't. read more

Great energy and friendly service provided by Kirstin. It was such a pleasure having her as my first interaction of the day. What a great way to start the morning with positive energy. THE PANCAKES WERE A SOLID 100 out of 10- honestly.. the best I've EVER EATEN *thinks back on the flavor & mouth waters* the shrimp and grits were also very tasty and The service was A1 from start to finish. The food was great. Every server was great except the one we had. Kay was her name. She was very late coming to my table. She forgot our drinks, forgot to take our order. Talked way too much about nonsense, family life, where she lives, her boyfriend issues. If that wasn't enough, she kept touching my sons face and hair, I know for a fact that she wasn't washing her hands every time she touched my son. She needs to learn personal space. There is ample space between tables so you don't feel cramped. There are TVs on the walls but it does not feel like a typical sports bar. The vibe is upscale and the restaurant was very clean. We started with the homemade biscuits and they were excellent. The proceeds go to charity so placing this order was no-brainer. The biscuits were light and airy, not dense at all. The jam and butter were the perfect accompaniment. Those biscuits are winners! Everyone should order and help the charity. I had the spicy chicken and waffles and it was excellent. The chicken was indeed spicy but the honey helped cool me off. The chicken was tender, the waffle was light but could have been hotter. If you order this dish, you will need a glass or two of cold ice water! The wife had shakshura and loved it. She got some toast on the side for dipping. The grits on the bottom were perfectly cooked. Her only complaint was the egg was supposed to be runny and it was firm. The kid had sweet potato pancakes but ended up filling up on the biscuits. Overall, food was 5 star and really enjoyable. The prices are very reasonable. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that our server, who was pleasant enough, was not very efficient. I am not sure what the problem was but her head was in the clouds. We would ask for something, she would say ok, and then she would disappear and forget to bring what we asked for. They ultimately never received their food, so we had to take it to go at the end. The food itself was also disappointing. The chicken was very underseasoned, although the batter was really well done. The mashed potatoes were particularly unappetizing and tasted almost like they were made with sink water. Overall, the quality of the food just wasn't there. I'd give the food 1/5 and the service 2-2.5/5. Unfortunately, not impressed and wouldn't be in a rush to return.
