I had a really bad experience here like I never had o e before. I took my boys and myself here for breakfast around 9:30 am the older lady at the entrance was very sweet and greeted us with warmth. But the issue started with our server the moment we sat she is just on top of our head to give her order so I had to request twice to give us time as we were there first time. I orders chocolate chip pancakes fir my little one and French toast fir older one and for myself pecans praline waffle and explained we will not take any meat with any order and she understood at that time. The order comes as waffle with peaches on top and plain three pancakes in the plate fir my son. I requested that this is not what we ordered so she quickly takes pancakes and brings the same one back with whip cream n three pieces of chocolate chips on top and just leaves and goes away. I called her again n asked her about my food as this not what I ordered she takes it back and comes back with waffle topped with beacon. Manager was young and u explained to her to please change my server and get me my food she literally did nothing and then I asked her that we would like to leave as this just not acceptable and manager instead of saying sorry or trying to fix it brought the bill for my older sons toast and my coffee. Unbelievable it does not take much time to listen to customer and taking care of the issue which is just give them what they ordered. read more

So, I have been to this location several times for brunch and usually the "FOOD" is delicious. However, today 12/18 everything was off! The customer service, the food and our server; at times we felt like she was the only server in the restaurant! Everything was just mediocre; the food was bland and that was disappointing and my alcoholic beverage tasted like "tart candy." Just disappointed in my overall experience. I do hope it was just a fluke because we really do enjoy this place. read more

Everything here was perfect! Brunch is my favorite meal so I love trying new places. I always get some kind of egg scramble with veggies, but always complain that it never has much flavor. I just accepted that this is how it'll be everywhere. Well imagine my surprise when I get the southwest scrambler (swapped the chorizo for chicken) and it is filled with flavor! Even the potatoes had flavor which is also rare. The beignets were also delicious. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles which he also loved. If it wasn't enough that the food was amazing and by far exceeded our expectations, the service was just as amazing. Deanne/Diane.. I clearly suck at remembering names, but she was great! We will definitely be going back all the time and will be taking friends and family as well. Thanks for an awesome experience! read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Chicken and waffles with their special Chipotle honey - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - The Colony, Texas

the food is great and the servers are great wonderful but ultimately the space is too small for the demand that the restaurant has. if they tell you that the wait is 45 minutes, plan to wait at least 1.5 hours, if not more, due to the popularity of the restaurant and the fact that it is so small. deeply frustrating to deal with, marring an otherwise great experience. read more

Service is good. Menu looks great but overpriced omelettes. They were dry and no big deal for $13.00 each plus $2.29 additional if u add cheese to the grits. But the kicker to me was $3.79 for regular coffee. read more

I had the Chilaquiles with fried green tomatoes. I've never had fried green tomatoes before, and they were delish! All the staff was excellent and they made me feel at home when I arrived. read more

I had a great server but my Shrimp & Grits has nothing but burnt sausage & shrimp in it. Gave me a 3 dollar discount from it. Couldn't even eat the rest because of how burnt it was. Only reason I gave a three is because the server did a great job read more

Food is good but extremely slow service. We waited over an hour to get our food and it really didn't seem that busy.

Best place around for breakfast. Really good shrimp and grits and the full bar is so delicious. The manager was very involved and even came by and checked on our food and drinks! Will for sure be coming back just for the atmosphere. read more

You pretty much can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but try the city shrimp & grits, they are life changing!!! The staff is always welcoming & friendly! This is my favorite brunch spot! read more

A bit too fancy for my liking. Would've liked to see more regular breakfast items. Lemon rosemary pancakes were good, but the iced coffee was terrible. Service was a bit slow. read more

The best brunch spot. Bracus is a super server! The sausage and hash browns are fantastic, and the waffles are the best I've had. Great location right off of 121 and plano Pkwy right behind hard eight bbq. read more

Food was great! The server, Bracus made our experience wonderful! He is very hardworking and made sure all of his tables were enjoying their experience. read more

Bracus is by far the best server we have ever had. Very inattentive and caring. I always look forward to going to another broken egg to have Bracus as our server. read more

Literally the WORST SERVICE I have ever had! The food was delicious.... BUT it took us an hour to be seated after being told that it was a 15-20 minute wait. Our server seemed like she was in another world. Ordered our drinks... 15 minutes later she came back and asked us if we were ready to order food. We had to remind her she still hadn't brought the drinks. She then goes and brings 1 drink. We had to ask her to get the other one. Then she takes our order. Comes back 30 minutes later and told us that she's forgotten to put our order in and asked for it again. Then we waited another 25 minutes. Had them bag up our food and we left. The food is GREAT but the service was so bad that we will never go back. The craziest part is I've read other reviews and some people have said the SAME thing as us. read more

My mom and I went in for brunch today and we had the best experience! Our Server Bracus was phenomenal!! They were so kind and took the time to learn our names and made us feel so special! No detail was too small, I have never been treated with so much hospitality before!! I can't wait to go back! The banana bread french toast was amazing :) read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe??? The owner needs to seriously consider rebranding to " Another Bracus Egg Cafe". Yeah, the foods great and always has been, but this guy Bracus is the real treat. Bracus delighted my lady and I to a 10 star brunch. Imagine being in a Disney movie as I guide the reader through the experience of Bracus. First there were flowers, followed by a complimentary water that I would have happily paid $37 for. Bracus arranged our silverware disgustingly perfect and made it look effortless. He got our names and immediately we all became old friends. Not just here and there friends, but like true, genuine, long-time friends. Bracus, also brought out the most beautiful Bloody Mary and caramel cold brew. Tasted just as good as they looked! As we gazed the menu, Bracus gently recommended a few menu items and we took the bait. Fortunately for us, the food was delicious. Whilst we enjoyed our meal, Bracus waltzed by to regularly check on us and dropped off sweet gestures and compliments. *He sure knows how to make anyone feel like the most gorgeous person in the room*. We ended our visit with an order of the beignets and candid conversation. We shared (big) belly laughs and happy tears as we were getting ready to leave the restaurant. Lastly, Bracus made sure to walk us out of the establishment in efforts to ensure our safety as we strolled to our carriage.. I mean car. To close, I would like to emphasize this encounter as being one of the most magical moments in brunch history. Not sure if there will ever be another server that can top, the, Sir Bracus. Again, from the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you to Bracus! The end. read more

Amazing service and waiter was amazing. The food was delicious and they really do an amazing job to make brunch special. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Had breakfast there this morning. First thing I noticed was that they changed their menu (specifically, they've eliminated the country potatoes from their entrees, but entree prices remain the same). I ordered the "Traditional" off their menu and added the potato croquettes. My wife had the "Monte Rey Power Omelette". The food was good, as usual, but what was outstanding was the service we received. Our waiter, Bracus, was unbelievable! He was attentive, remembered our names, and provided service above and beyond our expectations. When we return, it won't be for the food, it'll be for the service. I petition they rename the restaurant "Bracus' Place"! read more

Dined here for the first time this past Wednesday. The food was delicious but I will come back here based on the service alone. Bracus was AMAZING and made our first visit one that will keep us coming back! read more

My girlfriend and I do brunch every Sunday. Another broken egg is in our top three. We normally go to the one off Frankford. Every experience we've had has been wonderful. Wait can get up there but that's because everyone recognizes the great food, not because of bad service or poor management. It was our first time to this location and Trinity took incredible care of us. She was attentive but not over bearing and extraordinarily polite and informative. Will come back if in the area again. read more

Our waiter Bracus was the BEST!!! So great and put a smile on our faces early in the morning

Food may be good. I don't know yet since I've been waiting for over an hour. Plenty of seating open but not enough servers or kitchen staff. Horribly slow service. You'll be so mad by the time your food gets there it ruins the experience. read more

Food was amazing. Service was outstanding! Bracus really takes it to another level. The food is not your general easy breakfast: there is a lot of thought and care put into everything on the menu. I've never had a better server than Bracus! Will be returning and telling all me friends about it read more

I went to Another Broken Egg Cafe this morning to catch up with a coworker, and we were very pleasantly surprised at the next-level service we received from Bracus. Without us asking, he brought a wireless charger for my coworker's dying phone to the table, added fresh fruit to our water, topped our sides of fruit with mango jam and powdered sugar, and offered us fresh grapefruit juice that he had flown in from LA overnight. I've been to many expensive and highly rated restaurants where I wasn't treated this well. My Hash Brown Benedict and my coworker's Monterey Power Omelette were both delicious and cooked perfectly. My only regret is that I didn't take any pictures to capture the experience, but you can go see for yourself. If I remember correctly, Bracus said that he works at this location Monday/Wednesday/Friday. I highly recommend coming while he's working and ask to be served by him. read more

I could not wait to try the amazing food and drinks from what I saw posted on social media. Let me just say it did not disappoint! The hostess at the front door were not the best! However, Braucas came in and saved the day! I swear I thought I was at a 5 star being served by him. He was such a pleasure! He made great recommendations and was such a great guy! He was attentive and went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back! read more

We went in for an average breakfast and received the best restaurant service we've ever had. Thank you Bracus!!

Delicious and beautiful food! The staff is amazing! This is our go to breakfest spot! All staff are wonderful but we had Bracus today and he went above and beyond! Amazing server and he really gets to know you! Will definitely be returning read more

The food is good, made with care, and above average. But my god, the relentless, aggressive, never ending upselling just ruined the experience for me. Our server was so aggressive with the upsell, that I envisioned her going into the restroom and pushing the stalls to upgrade to two-ply. Ended up dropping fifty bucks for breakfast for two, several items we really didn't even want, just let her add on to make her stop talking. Treating customers like sales units to be brutally maximized and making me feel like I'm in a constant battle of wits a la Princess Bride ensure I won't return. Great poached eggs though. Those are hard to pull off, and these were perfect. read more

Had to pick up some furniture in the area and had 30 minutes to kill at breakfast time. Stopped in the Broken Egg. Our waiter was very good, not sure of his name. The food was prompt, hot and as ordered. We were both pleasantly pleased. My only negative is the place was dirty, from the floors, tables, booth walls, bathroom doors. Toilets left unflushed. No one seemed to be working at cleaning. Many staff standing around. I don't understand the lack of attention to a brand new place. Clean up the place and we will be back. Manager needs to sit down at a table and look across at the filth on every table. Food on the floor sticky sticky everywhere. Hope this helps because the kitchen was doing a good job. read more
