I finally got to see what the hype was about at La La Land, and it definitely lived up to it. We stopped in for coffee and both drinks were really good. My fiancé ordered his hot and I got mine iced, and we were both impressed with how smooth and flavorful they were. He also grabbed a chocolate chip cookie, and to our surprise they warmed it up for him, which made it even better. It was soft, fresh, and honestly a perfect pairing with the coffee. Overall, such a cute spot. I can definitely see why people love coming here, and I'd happily go back again. Can't wait to visit Texas again or another city with a La La Land location. read more

Placed an order at 9:48am on the app on 3/6 to be picked up at 10:10am. Walk in at 10:11am, maybe 10 -15 people inside sitting down and some waiting for orders. I check the counter and my pastry is up on the counter, already warmed and sitting there. It took 10 more minutes to get the rest of my order that was supposed to be ready at 10:10am. As I am waiting, more drinks are being placed on the counter that have a later pick up time than the order I placed. So basically while I was waiting an extra 10 minutes (after I already waited 20 min) my ham and cheese croissant was cold by the time I got to eat it. Why would you warm up food for it to sit 20-30 min before you get a customers drink out? On top of that, there were probably at least 10 workers behind the counter and all the girls back there wanted to talk and gossip and lean on the counter instead of doing the job they are paid to do. Doesn't look good when customers are waiting around. Starbucks coffee sucks but at least they get you your order in a timely manner. La La Land kinda lives up to it's name at this location. I will try it again but at another location to see if this is the norm or just a fluke at the Legacy Drive location. We got there at 8:45 am with the expectation of it opening up at 9 am (per the website). It seemed like we were not the only ones too. By the time 3 individuals pulled on the entrance door did a young man come out to tell us they do not open till 9:30. When they finally opened and we made it to cashier to order, we were greeted with a meh type face. This seemed to be the theme throughout the whole time (unless if they knew you then you got a smile or was a fellow employee). It wasn't like they were short staffed at all. I counted approximately 7 employees. We ordered two medium cafe lattes as well as a hazelnut toast and honey strawberry toast. Though it was busy at first, it slowed down to no customers by the time we were waiting for our order. When we did get our caffe lattes, they came in a fancy to go cup but not even fill to the top. Medium is more like SMALL ! Both lattes were delicious I have to admit as well as the specialty toasts. Unfortunately, I had to stand at the end of the counter for approximately 10 to 15 minutes after receiving both our lattes before someone asked me what I was waiting for. The girl at the cash register looked at me at least 3 times but said nothing as well as the three girls making the coffee orders. Not surprised ... Then a young man saw me standing there, he asked and I told him about our toast. He immediately went to the back area and found them sitting there. As to the quality of the specialty toasts, it was also very good ! Total cost : $38.33 including tip ( I should have skipped the tip ). As to ambience, it is very bright but roomy. Seems more like a boutique to sell their items with coffee on the side. I will give them kudos on quality of taste but not at all on service. Absolutely loved the service at La La Land and how cute it is, we stayed at the shops at Legacy on our recent trip to Dallas, and walked over to this La Land Land, which was bustling in the morning on our brunch crowd. We snagged a toasted s'more pastry pop tart for kiddo, a strawberry matcha latte, and the Dream Avo toast. All of it was such good quality, albeit pricy knowing what you're getting and the cause it serves. We also had the friendliest staff taking prompt orders and whipping out drinks and food so the line moved quick. Seating can be a bit cozy, but the crowds move and the space light and airy. I was looking for a coffee shop near my hotel and glad I found this one! I looked up the menu and the drinks sounded unique to me so I decided to check it out. I really couldn't decide what drink to get but I just went with their signature "la la latte." I was intrigued by their "cloud top." I also ordered a ham and swiss croissant. I was glad they asked if I wanted it warmed up - it's always nice when cafes ask that because no one wants a cold pastry! The la la latte was sweet and creamy - definitely wouldn't be my go-to every day latte, but it was a nice treat to have. The ham and swiss croissant was also good, although I wish there was more filling inside. I would def recommend this for out of towners if you are looking for a different coffee experience. Traditionally a fan of Lala land kind cafe however not fan of their super long wait for the drinks and food items. This location is truly beautiful however the staff can be unfriendly at times. I went here for my birthday a month ago and the guy who assisted me with my drink was truly kind. However when I asked for a pup cup the girl who gave me the pup cup and made my drink seemed kind of in a bad mood which I did not appreciate specially after the order taking longer than normal estimating a 30 minutes wait. I had also initially had visited the Starbucks location off legacy west earlier which they had put me in such a good mood for my birthday and all that happiness was gone after visiting this store sadly. Came here around 12:30 pm a Sunday and the line was pretty short with a lot of seating. It took about 10 minutes for my food and drink to come out. There is no dine in option so they give you single use plastic and cardboard even if you eat there. The tiramisu latte was so delicious and rich in matcha taste. It was very sweet which is how I like it. The strawberry toast had honey and cream cheese which was good as well. It was more of a dessert rather than a breakfast food because of how sweet and sugary it was. I sat in the back but some of the tables were dirty. I sat for almost an hour and I didn't see any employee cleaning. There are two bathrooms but the one I went to had NO toilet paper, NO soap, NO paper towels, no nothing. Absolutely disgusting. I waited for the other stall for 10 mins and even knocked with no response so I just left with my dirty hands and used hand sanitizer. I don't want to imagine how nasty the other customers and employees hands are if there's no soap or towels. read more

This place is such a little ray of sunshine--literally! The yellow color scheme gives the whole café a bright, cheerful vibe. Yes, the line can look intimidating, especially on weekends, but it moves fast and the staff is always warm and welcoming. The cashier was extremely kind, and even wrote love the earrings on my receipt! There are many baristas whipping out great coffees. The pastries are top notch quality. Their matcha drinks are super delicious and strong! The birthday cake matcha was my sister's favorite (she loves anything birthday cake). I like this La La Land! They stand out to me because they have more seating than most locations in the DFW area. This allows for chatting with a friend, working, studying, etc for longer amounts of time. It's ALWAYS busy - it does not matter what day of the week it is or the time. I have been a handful of times (including the grand opening, which was cute), and they always seem a bit understaffed. The line will go to the door, and taking orders takes forever. Today, they were actually out of a bunch of things, including the strawberry fields matcha latte, my order, which I only saw after waiting in a 15 person line. I think this location would be better if they figured out how to operate a little faster. Even stopping by at 10am on a weekday, I know I will have to wait a long time for a drink. Their app also doesn't support ordering at this location, so you have no choice but to brave the line. My favorites are the strawberry fields matcha, salted maple espresso iced latte, crookie (sugar overload but so good), and their avocado toasts. I especially love the la la dream toast with extra chili oil and a boiled egg on top for protein. Overall, I like this location but I am hoping to see smoother operations in the coming months! read more

I've only ever been to one other La La Land at that's their location on Preston which I suppose we can call my "home store". I decided to stop into this location last week since they are on my way to work. I really love this place! The consistency across stores and the calm vibe in the early morning here really makes for a nice experience. The crew are very sweet and often have thoughtful compliments. I love their positive energy and think it's really cute that they even print their labels with Love Ya on the end of your name. In a town where you know no baristas and don't have sweet notes written on your cups like you did at home this is a kind touch. Most of the gals even say "Bye, Love ya" when customers leave. This may be the type of thing that some think sounds a little cringe but it's been one of the nicest gestures I've heard. I typically order the same bevvie, an iced banana cream top matcha latte but I did try a milk and honey last week at the other location and really liked it as well. There's something about the crowd they draw that makes me feel at home. I have zero shame in admitting I may be Gods little city slicker or coming in first place for CA snowflake but the struggle has been real in Plano for me. When I come to La Land Land I'm not battling a language or culture barrier, no one is agressive or pushy. I can order my drink and pay for it without feeling like I'm being hustled on the streets of Cairo for the most mundane of services. I'm finding my safe spaces in town are places where I can enjoy myself and feel at ease with some resemblance of familiarity, La La Land has consistently been that spot and their name has nothing to do with a girl from Los Angeles (La) loving them. I had went to La La Land Kind Cafe at their Royal Lane location during the grand opening, and it was an incredible experience. I even got the chance to meet the owner, who shared the exciting news that they'd be opening 20+ locations in 2025. When I later saw they were opening a location in Legacy--a spot I'm always around--I knew I had to go! The Legacy location is great. Just like every other La La Land, the aesthetic is stunning, the service is consistently warm and friendly, and the products are absolutely amazing. My personal favorite is the Upside Down Latte, but everything I've tried has been delicious and thoughtfully crafted. What makes La La Land even more special is their mission. Knowing that profits go toward meaningful causes, like supporting LA wildfire recovery, makes every visit feel purposeful. My online order said it was completed and I went to pick it up and it was not. It took me a while to get someone's attention and when I did, they checked and said that bc I was 3 minutes early than the stated pick up time, it wasn't ready yet. She told me that it was slated to be completed on time and it wasn't ready yet and that it was going to take five more minutes.
