Never heard of the coffee bun concept until I was browsing for dessert shops in Frisco near the restaurant I ate at for dinner. The mona lisa bun with vanilla ice cream, banana, strawberries, chocolate drizzle, and whipped cream was delicious. Although it's a unique concept, the inside of the bun is mostly hollow which was not ideal.

    Sugar cane juice

I am very, very biased with my likening of sugar cane juice. It reminds me of my time in the farms of Brazil as a kid (we drove by one). It's difficult for me to find sugar cane drinks in Texas - the last 2 places I went to stopped selling them so I keep an eye out. And no, I didn't get anything else, I only cared about the sugar cane juice. 5 stars!

Pappa Roti's been around for a while now and they've done a great job of maintaining their quality. I'm happy that they've extended their weekday hours to 11pm as that makes a weekday post din-din run so doable. It is still a small place s when it's busy its ready to burst. The staff has always been great here. If you dont want the decadent variety of buns, the simple plain one yummy in its own right, though the former are great for splitting. Great dessert, topped off with solid a coffee menu or Pakistani chai. Can't go wrong. here.

Traditional Indian Chai with cardamom was really tasty, but I'm not sure if they have regular chai for those who are not fans of cardamom. Sadly all of the buns were out today due to a shipment delay, which was very disappointing as we did not get a chance to try them at all. Staff were very kind and apologetic, they explained the situation to us. We sat in the comfy leather couch near the door. I really wanted to try the original bun and ferrero rocher bun.

    Signature bun and karak chai

Craving an aromatic, spicy chai and some freshly baked pastry? Here is the place. As you may notice if you've been reading my reviews, I wouldn't miss any coffee places where you can find Middle Eastern, Yemeni, Indian chai, tea, or coffee. It was my first visit here. I got their karak chai and their signature coffee buns. The chai was smooth with a subtle taste of various spices like cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and probably other herbs. The sugar level was just right for me. The bun was the best. The coffee crust on top was sweet and toasty. It reminds me of the crust on a Hong Kong pineapple bun, but this crust is thinner and more delicate. The inside was soft and moist. You could get additional toppings/dressings over the crust or, if you like, stuff it with your favorite ice-cream! I'll save this for my next visit. The lady that took my order was very friendly and introduced me to the different flavors of their buns. The place is not too big. I believe it may get crowded during coffee rush hours. It was a quick, but enjoyable visit. I'll come back by to try perhaps there Turkish coffee and an ice-scream filled bun!

Let me just say that nothing good can possibly come from residing within a 10-mile radius of this establishment. It is dangerous-ly addictive and has most certainly earned a spot in the rotation of my top 10 places in and around the Frisco Area. Went here with my childhood BFF on a weeknight two hours prior to closing time and can honestly say that I'm hooked. She had been to this location twice previously and had frequented the original in Chicago and raved about it. She was right. Love the enticing aroma and the chill/laidback vibe - it brings about a vibrant burst of energy to the space and the Buns and Chai are to die for. They really struck the right balance of flavor - not too sweet and not too bland. Most noteworthy were the undertones of cardamom and cinnamon of the Chai. The mouthfeel and ratio of the soft interior to the crispy exterior of the Cheese&Honey Bun were too good to pass up. I had driven by this place several times in the past few months, but never stopped by until a few weeks ago. Shohaib greeted us with a smile and I told him it was my first visit. He walked me through the Menu and highlighted common items that are ordered by regular customers. He is a nice young man with a professional work ethic. We will be returning.

    Karak Chai & Signature Bun

Ordered the Mona Lisa, Karak Chai and the Signature Bun. The Mona Lisa comes with sliced banana, strawberries, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream and chocolate & caramel sauce. It was my favorite! Really enjoyed the Karak Chai. It has aromatic spices and herbs combined with condensed milk, cardamom and saffron. Their signature bun is great! It has a nice crispy exterior and it's very soft and buttery on the inside. The chai paired real well with the signature bun! Also, the buns aren't overly sweet and very light. It was busy when I went, but customer service was great and even though I had to wait a while, it was well worth the wait!

    Grabbing lunch and tea!

I came in the late afternoon hoping to get a hot beverage and get some work done on my laptop. I was looking for a chai latte which they have, and it comes in a cute teacup. Since I had not eaten lunch yet, I got a coffee bun with fresh strawberries. What I got was very different than the picture on the menu. It was coffee bun with syrup and one strawberry on the side. It was very sweet and was $10+. I grew up eating coffee bun from the local asian bakery and so I am used to ~$3 for a coffee bun. I think this would be a great place to splurge on a dessert and tea with a friend to hangout.

The Turkish coffee and standard bun.

Such a wonderful owner! He educated us on the Turkish coffee and how the buns are made. If you like coffee, try the Turkish. Very good! And the buns..... if you want a treat do not miss them! We had the standard and it was amazing. I can't imagine the flavored ones. For a native Texan, this was an international experience in my backyard.

We had the chocolate on chocolate bun & the Oreo bun...both delicious! Because the location in Allen, Texas across from the outlet mall at Fairview Town Center is newly opened they had a promotional free tea...we tried the Karak Chai with notes of cardamom & saffron and it was divine! Such a lovely little spot with delicious & unique flavors! A MUST try.

The buns are really good, and worth the premium price as they are made fresh in house, and of quality ingredients. I haven't tried all the different versions, but have had a bun with my chai. It's a great snack, and a nice place to meet for a chai date with a friend or two. It does get crowded over the weekends and in the evening, but they do take orders over the phone for take away. The chai has been good, but not great. I've had both the karak chai and Horlicks chai a couple of times, and the biggest issue is inconsistency. The first karak chai was really good, but the second was a bit heavy on the illaichi (cardamom). The Horlicks chai was ok the first time, too sweet and tasted more like Horlicks milk, but the second time was better. Nice addition to the area, and we'll happily return again.

I'm so excited that Paparoti has finally opened in Texas! This was my favorite treat growing up. The buns are soft, chewy, and freshly baked--perfect with a warm cup of chai. Definitely a must-try!

Early Tweet Ashta, Biscoff Bun, Oreo Bun
    Aqsa T.

Can't wait to go to this place again. Only reason it is a 4 star rather than a 5 star is because one of their items had nuts (the Biscoff item) which was not listed on the menu or shown in the picture. I have a nut allergy and was unable to try it - I would have removed the nuts if known. The woman at the cash register was great helping us order and while we wanted to pack it to go, she recommended eating it at the location so we could experience the items better and I 100% agree that was the right call. The Ashta bun is a MUST TRY and paired with the Karak Chai makes it a 10/10 experience. While the other flavors are great, the simple sweetness of this dessert is the best part, so I highly recommend going with a more simple item and pairing it with their one of the many tea options they have. As a dessert spot the location is great and I highly recommend checking this spot out.

We were seated in a cozy booth right away, and I loved that they also have a beautiful outdoor patio for anyone who wants to enjoy the fresh air. Parking was easy and convenient, which made the experience even better. Rachel took wonderful care of our table, but the real showstopper was the food presentation. Every plate looked like a piece of art. The dishes were garnished with real edible flowers that instantly transported us to Hawaii. It was almost too pretty to eat... almost! The food tasted just as amazing as it looked. I ordered the veggie omelet with rosemary potatoes and a side of pancakes, and every bite was delicious. The kids loved their grilled cheese, chicken strips, and the adorable Mickey Mouse pancakes. The portions were generous, so no one left hungry. One of my favorite parts of the visit was learning they offer a military discount. As a veteran, that simple gesture means so much. Businesses that take the time to honor those who have served deserve to be recognized and supported. This was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. We already have our eyes on several other menu items we want to try. If you're looking for a breakfast spot that's delicious, picture perfect, family friendly, and supportive of our military community, Egg Posh deserves a spot at the top of your list. Five stars all the way!

The eggs were…read morebeautifully prepared, the French toast struck that perfect balance of crisp edges and custardy center, and the French fries were impossibly crisp and addictive. Those dishes alone suggested a kitchen with real attention to detail. Unfortunately, the ribeye told an entirely different story. Given the glowing reviews, I ordered it with high expectations. Instead, it arrived dramatically overcooked, lacking the tenderness and rich, buttery character that should define a quality ribeye. To their credit, the staff handled the situation graciously and immediately offered to prepare another. Regrettably, the replacement was somehow even more overcooked than the first. The service deserves recognition for making every effort to correct the mistake, but when a restaurant chooses to feature a ribeye prominently on its menu, consistency is part of the promise. I'd gladly return for brunch, but I would think twice before ordering the steak again.

The place is also toddler friendly with a great kids menu, as my 3 year old devoured his Mickey pancakes! The food was delicious my family all ordered breakfast items, and devoured their food, they also are very flexible with any modifications, and had sourdough toast, which was delicious! The only knock I have was that the bacon was not the tastiest. I'm a sucker for a good buffalo chicken sandwich, so I also ordered one, and it was delicious, highly recommended it if you come for lunch or if you're not a breakfast person. The fries were also delicious and had a great crisp. Eggsquisite will definitely be part of the brunch/lunch rotation for me and my family going forward!
