Mmmm I'm not sure if I just ordered wrong or because the timing isn't right (I just returned from Japan) but this matcha tiramisu latte was not it. The matcha was super watered down and the first sip I almost died. There's a beautiful top but the coco powder felt like the cinnamon challenge all over again. That's on me for not mixing it together though, so many do that instead. Wifi is available you just need to ask them. It was quite busy at 12 on a tuesday that we almost didn't have a seat so keep that in mind. Outlets are available but a little awkwardly positioned at times. Not the best study place I've been too but not bad. There's just a smaller number of ideal study spots so go earlier if you want a good seat. Barista was nice though!
Really yummy. Quite sweet. Next time with try 70% sweetness and it'll still be very sweet. Def don't need the cold foam. It's very sweet and super thick. Loved the strawberry matcha. Also got the pumpkin spice. Good if you like cinnamon. Def recommend. We ordered for pickup.
Coffee U is absolutely worth the hype. Yes, it's a bit on the pricier side, but in my opinion, every dollar is justified by the quality and consistency. I always grab a chocolate croissant (non-negotiable -- they're that good), and usually pair it with whatever the seasonal iced latte is. If I'm not in that mood, the tiramisu latte or a matcha never disappoints -- all are absolutely delightful. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, even when they're slammed, which is basically always. This place stays busy whether it's a weekday or the weekend, and for good reason. Bright, energetic atmosphere, great drinks, great pastries, and a team that clearly knows what they're doing. One of those spots you keep coming back to. Highly recommend.

I found myself in the neighborhood Saturday morning, after going to support a young woman's porch bakery. A neighbor of mine had recommended Coffee U to me but I hadn't made an effort to check them out just yet. I will say, the reviews don't do this place justice. I thought some folks liked it but this is the type of coffee shop you will want to get in your car a drive immediately over to. I wish I lived walking distance. I'm not terribly far but it's definitely a drive, as I'm learning most everything here is. Coffee U felt calm and peaceful. I loved the crowd, it's so different than LaLaLand in the BEST WAY EVER! Makes me want to only ever come here. Service was EXCEPTIONAL and the drinks came out in such a reasonable time. The way an INCREDIBLE coffee shop runs. This has got to be the best coffee in the area and when I say area, I mean a 20min drive radius in every possible direction if not further. Sometimes you want to gate keep a place that is this charming because you don't want it run over, but I'm horrible at keeping a secret and must share. Perfect shop, really lovely experience. I brought my neighbor her fav order to thank her for another great recommendation. I'm holding on by a literal thread since moving here and its experiences like this that help hold me together. I don't need much in life, but a great latte is a non negotiable in my book.
Coffee U's matcha sesame latte is 10/10, and I'm excited to come back and try their other drinks! Service and atmosphere were pleasant as well.
The drinks were served impressively fast, which was a great start. The matcha einspänner was on the sweeter side and had an ever so slightly grainy texture. It worked well as a dessert-style drink as it wasn't bitter at all, but the matcha itself didn't feel top-tier in terms of quality. The einspänner latte, despite having a quad shot, was also quite sweet--likely due to a generous amount of syrup--which overpowered the coffee flavor a bit. That said, the café has a clean, minimalist vibe with plenty of outlets and chill, calming music--perfect for getting some work done or just relaxing.
This cafe looks really nice and has a lot of tables to sit at. A lot of people come here to study, work, or chat with their friends. I got the matcha einspanner latte and tiramisu latte. Both drinks were good, I would say they were above average compared to other coffee places in the area, nothing too special. The workers made the drinks really quick and they were also very friendly. The prices are a bit high though but the matcha tasted good, no bitterness at all. I would come back if I'm in Frisco, but I wouldn't drive out to just go here since there are a lot of other matcha places around.
Tried this spot after hearing it's got a great matcha latte and I do agree! The regular matcha latte was very satisfying and gorgeous in color. We also ordered an iced black sesame latte and the iced pistachio einspanner. I think the pistachio was the only drink I was disappointed by. Tasted artificial but to be fair, I think most places can't do a pistachio latte without that bitter artificial aftertaste so I don't blame them too much. Service was efficient and the staff was super nice. The space inside is also well designed/organized. Very japandi-esque. Regular sized drink is like a medium imo (12 oz I think) so relatively fairly priced. Overall, definitely recommend. I will spot by again when I'm in the area and maybe take some time to hang out in the space.
This is a nice little coffee shop tucked away on wade right off preston. Its set back so hard to see from the road but its na easy in and easy out so no excuses! They have a decent selection of lattes, lemonade type refrehsers and teas. The standard complement of pastries and some pricey sammies. Their lattes are unique, with flavors like black sesame and einspanner foam and tiramisu, the last one, pleasantly enough was not a augar overload but heavy enough to be a meal. I enjoyed it. Seating wise, lots of spaces and it's nice and airy inside. The staff here is always polite so its a good hangout spot if that's your thang. Definitely recommend!
I can see why Coffee U has such a high rating! It was my first time here, as I was just in town visiting. I tried their einspanner with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious. I wish I was able to visit more times to try other things on their menu (like their matcha or black sesame!) The vibe of the store is really cute, you can see a lot of people getting work done or hanging out with their friends. The staff are efficient and helpful as well, which is always a plus for a busy coffee shop! Definitely would recommend and hope to come back soon!
The "Go-to" coffee shop for all my matcha needs! Very small but spacious seating area, has an outside seating area as well for the nice weather days. Music is uplifting, light and all of the decorations make the place feel like home. Every single barista knows what's up with matcha, never ever have a wrong order, bad tasting drink or a bad attitude come out of this business. Utterly sublime time here, every time. Drink i ordered today is my regular, (but bigger size today hehe), which is an Einspanner matcha latte with oat milk as well as my chiccy sammich!
Coffee U offers convenient parking and the space is very clean and nice. I saw them wiping down the tables in between customers and they seemed very kind. I ordered the Black Sesame Latte and it was a little bit hard to taste the black sesame but it was overall a good drink. I just wish it was easier to taste as I had a hard time trying to swirl the thick paste(I think) on the bottom. This place is a magnet for a lot of people and so it gets a bit loud at times but it is still a good place to go to have a quick coffee with a friend rather than to study.

I found Coffee U from a user on Instagram (as I do if I don't find it on Yelp first), and I have been in love with their coffee since first (virtual) sight! I will preface by saying I am a huge Stumptown fan, so that was the first selling point for me. Second, it is a woman-owned business and lastly, a local business. Count me in! The ambiance when you enter the shop is clean, bright and a total vibe! There is a good amount of seating, but it can fill up quickly when busy. The service is always friendly and prompt even during busy times. I love the seasonal drinks they have, but an Americano is just as good! They also have a good variety of bites, sandwiches and pastries. A couple of my favorites are the chicken tender, the chocolate croissant and the ham and cheese croissant. I basically lived off the ham and cheese croissants during my last pregnancy, LOL! You have to stop by and give Coffee U a try when in Frisco. I promise it will be worth it once you get your first sip! read more
So I've been here two times and overall, my experience has been solid! It's a super cute spot and it's always very clean in here. The barista's are sweet as well. The first time I went, I got the Einspanner (with the Espresso base) and it was SO GOOD!! Seriously, the perfect amount of sweetness, richness, and caffeine! The flavors were super well rounded and I absolutely LOVED IT! The next time I went, I got the Black Sesame Matcha and that was absolutely NOT as great. The flavor was okay but it is DEFINITELY an extremely earthy, (yes, more earthy than typical matcha), acquired taste. The black sesame was super gritty and it kind of just lingers in your mouth and on your teeth. This is NOT not the type of drink you'd want to grab before a work meeting or any event where your mouth/teeth will be showing lol. So yeah, that was a bummer - but hey, with the Einspanner being such a hit, I am definitely looking forward to coming back and trying additional items on the menu! read more

Very nice atmosphere! Outside, there are some seating where you can sit when its not so hot outside. It was pretty busy when I arrived, but I was able to find a seat to sit and wait for my drink to be ready. I ordered an iced Egyptian Chamomile tea, refreshing and perfect for the summer! There are also many other tea options, and variety of coffee drinks to pick from! The staff also gives a punch card to use for when you visit again. read more
There's a reason why the reviews for this place are so complimentary. Everything about this place is stellar. I've been craving the Einspänner coffee for a LONG time and this was one of the few places that make it. The coffee itself was fantastic albeit a little overly sweet. Personally I hope they make their season peanut butter latte a permanent item on their menu. It was packed coming in here but the folks are so efficient. I was 5th in line and still got my coffee in less than 10 minutes. Overall this is a lovely mom and pop shop and I'm so delighted they're doing well. read more
My iced matcha latte with cold foam was pretty good, I wanted another refill but one was enough haha. My friend got the kale & pineapple smoothie which was delish! I ordered a plain croissant & I have to agree with everyone else on these croissants they were "greasy & gooey" like if they weren't fully cooked. This place was small & not much seating but good for a quick coffee & chat (which is what I went for). They give you a number/buzzer so you can claim a spot instead of waiting for your drunk. They were pretty fast & help with recommendations for first timers like me. I may swing by again if I'm in the area. read more
Coffee U is hands down my favorite coffee shop in town. The baristas are not only super friendly but incredibly skilled at what they do. Their espresso is consistently smooth and rich. I'm absolutely obsessed with their blueberry latte with oat milk. It's the perfect balance of unique flavors and the right amount of sweetness. They also make the best einspanner latter I've ever had. It's creamy, bold, and just amazing. No adjustments needed. I usually order online and pick up at the store. If I had any critique, it'd be that I wish I could add tip for the baristas when making online pickup orders and it'd be amazing if they had a digital rewards system instead of the paper punch cards (which I somehow lose all the time). Still Coffee U is a gem and I rave about this place. read more
Every time I come to Plano for work, I make sure to stop by Coffee U! Not only are they fast and friendly, but their drinks options are delicious and unique. Last time I was the Black sesame latte which was super delicious. Today I opted to try the einspanner and it was amazing!! Definitely check this place out after you get your workout on at F45. We were excited to try a new coffee place nearby as the reviews are great. I would rate it average. While the store is unique in the flavors they offer (tiramisu latte for my husband and peanut butter latte for me), they weren't outstanding. The chocolate croissant was served cold. I tried the Tiramisu latte ($7) and einspammer ($7). You can definitely taste the mascarpone cheese in the tiramisu. I liked the einspammer better because it still had the creaminess but also you can taste the coffee more. There are a few small tables suitable for studying, bar seating, and lounge seating on wooden benches. The drinks were slightly on the expensive side. I felt like I was in a nice coffee place on the East or West coast! Just much larger inside. Employees were friendly and fast with our orders! read more
Cool vibe at this little but very bright coffee shop! The drinks are refreshing, I got my usual iced chai latte and my kid got iced very berry drink. The drinks were great BUT the showstopper was the matcha almond croissant! It was huge, packed with flavor and crispy... just delicious. If we didn't just have lunch we would have ordered a sandwich. They look delicious. We'll definitely need to come back for lunch one of these days. The space is nice, bright, buzzing with others studying or hanging out, and there is a beautiful tree right in the middle of the cafe. Yelp 100 - 2024 # 9 The cutest coffee shop located across the street from Collin Community College, and near a yoga studio and Kolache Factory. Coffee U is open Monday - Saturday and closed on Sunday. Offering delicious eats and signature drinks. During this visit I ordered an iced Tiramisu coffee, and iced Einspanner. Both drinks were ready within a matter of minutes and they were delicious. Seating. Unique and customizable seating with window seating and small chairs for table seating. This is a natural colored cozy space that could service as a great place to work or read while enjoying a coffee. Parking Depending on the timing, you may have to park in the adjacent lot , or you may have parking right out front. Plenty of parking if you don't mind walking. :) read more

This place offers a nice variety of drinks (not too much to where it's overwhelming, but not too little to where there's not enough options) that are interesting and cute! I ordered the Einspanner hot and my friend ordered the same thing iced; the iced version was more aesthetic, but I'm sure they tasted equally good. Another friend ordered the Black Sesame Matcha Latte iced, which had a rich flavor. read more
This is a clean looking cafe, seems like a good place for people if they want to study to catch up with a friend! The employees are nice and create an inviting vibe to the place. I think this is one of the only cafes in dfw that sell a black sesame matcha latte so I decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the nuttiness of the black sesame but I couldn't really taste the matcha even after mixing my drink - the black sesame definitely overpowers the matcha. I wish these flavors were more married instead of being overshadowed by the other. I will have to give their other drinks a try. read more

Incredibly pretty interior and gorgeous drinks!! Their matcha einspanner is definitely the best around. Everything is light and not too sweet. The staff are friendly and it's an easy location to get to. I love studying here as there are enough outlets and natural lighting. Definitely recommend!! read more

We have been here plenty of times. Simple and minimalist vibes. This Korean coffee shop is one of my favorites in the area. Their Einspanner's are absolutely amazing! We've also had their matcha drinks which are just as good, but unfortunately didn't have any pictures I could find in my library. It could get kind of packed sometimes, depending on what time and when you go. Their pastries are decent, but I don't really go there for the pastries. The sandwiches are actually really good. We typically get the bulgogi sandwich if we choose to eat there. They also do the stamp cards, get your 10th coffee free. I love that as it makes me want to go back especially when their coffee is good. Highly recommend this coffee spot! read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Dallas. I got my usual, the matcha einspanner. I coincidentally ran into a classmate and they got the tiramisu latte. The inside was packed so unfortunately I couldn't study there. You can taste that their matcha is pretty high quality. I really like how they put matcha powder on top of the cream and let it flow down into the drink. The cream adds a lot to the matcha without any overpowering flavors. Definitely one of my favorite matcha drinks to get, and I don't even go crazy for matcha like that read more

Visited Coffee U on a Friday around noon. It was pretty busy, but we were able to find a table for two. There's smaller tables and a countertop by the windows where people like to work or study. I ordered the black sesame matcha and my friend got the matcha einspanner. The black sesame adds a nice nuttiness to my matcha - I enjoyed it a lot and would re-order again. The matcha einspanner is a creamier version of a normal matcha - also tasty but I liked the black sesame one a little bit more (just my personal preference!) We both ordered a croissant and they're decently sized! They even offered to warm it up for us which was great. The matcha almond croissant was our favorite - it has a matcha spread on the inside of the croissant as well. The cookie croissant is also yummy! A little bit on the sweeter side because it has a chocolate filling, but still a nice sweet treat. Overall, everything we had I would recommend! I would definitely come back to try some of their other drinks and possibly some sandos. read more
