I will TRY and keep this short. At first the wait was awful! We were told and hour to an hour and a half but they were up front and honest that it would be a while Which was appreciated. We sat on the patio and BRACUS was our server and when I tell you he was nothing short of an ANGEL, it is not an exaggeration. His energy was so vibrant and welcoming, like family! We had a party of 9, 4 adults and 5 kids ranging age 8-3 and I can honestly say I have never had customer service like this before. From the extra fruit added to our water glasses, the menu suggestions based on what he thought we'd like, to the kids table he purchased from his own pocket along with games like connect 4 for the kids to play with. he was AMAZING! THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! We will be making this a regular Sunday spot And that is SOLEY BECAUSE OF HIM! We loved him! He even gave us roses as we left after providing us with organic hand sanitizer and gum on the way out. He was sure to call us by our names throughout the entire time we were there. JUST AMAZING! Cannot wait to come back next Sunday. read more

I have been to 2 Another Broken Egg Cafe locations. I visited the Frankford location today and was highly disappointed (to the point I gave them a 2 star review prior to this). This location has been a home run 3 consecutive weeks in a row. The waitstaff - Awesome The wait time - Awesome The food - STELLAR Hostesses - Sweet as can be My waitress last time was Shay. She's my new bestie and gave us the best service I've received in a long time. She was called in on her day off, propped her daughter up in the back with an iPad and STILL served us with a positive attitude and pleasant demeanor; when most people would just be disgruntled. This place is my new favorite breakfast joint and I've been going to Original House of Pancakes for 20+ years now. Please keep up the good work, this city is not forgiving when you don't. read more

Great energy and friendly service provided by Kirstin. It was such a pleasure having her as my first interaction of the day. What a great way to start the morning with positive energy. The manager checked throughout my visit to ensure I was comfortable and the food was up to standards. Which was nice especially since I was there alone. Let's just say.... THE PANCAKES WERE A SOLID 100 out of 10- honestly.. the best I've EVER EATEN *thinks back on the flavor & mouth waters* the shrimp and grits were also very tasty and The service was A1 from start to finish. Kudos to kirstin for suggesting an alternative option to the grits since I'm pescatarian. The food and service were both exactly what I needed. read more

The food was great. Every server was great except the one we had. Kay was her name. She was very late coming to my table. She forgot our drinks, forgot to take our order. Talked way too much about nonsense, family life, where she lives, her boyfriend issues. If that wasn't enough, she kept touching my sons face and hair, I know for a fact that she wasn't washing her hands every time she touched my son. She needs to learn personal space. There is ample space between tables so you don't feel cramped. There are TVs on the walls but it does not feel like a typical sports bar. The vibe is upscale and the restaurant was very clean. We started with the homemade biscuits and they were excellent. The proceeds go to charity so placing this order was no-brainer. The biscuits were light and airy, not dense at all. The jam and butter were the perfect accompaniment. Those biscuits are winners! Everyone should order and help the charity. I had the spicy chicken and waffles and it was excellent. The chicken was indeed spicy but the honey helped cool me off. The chicken was tender, the waffle was light but could have been hotter. If you order this dish, you will need a glass or two of cold ice water! The wife had shakshura and loved it. She got some toast on the side for dipping. The grits on the bottom were perfectly cooked. Her only complaint was the egg was supposed to be runny and it was firm. The kid had sweet potato pancakes but ended up filling up on the biscuits. Overall, food was 5 star and really enjoyable. The prices are very reasonable. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that our server, who was pleasant enough, was not very efficient. I am not sure what the problem was but her head was in the clouds. We would ask for something, she would say ok, and then she would disappear and forget to bring what we asked for. They ultimately never received their food, so we had to take it to go at the end. The food itself was also disappointing. The chicken was very underseasoned, although the batter was really well done. The mashed potatoes were particularly unappetizing and tasted almost like they were made with sink water. Overall, the quality of the food just wasn't there. I'd give the food 1/5 and the service 2-2.5/5. Unfortunately, not impressed and wouldn't be in a rush to return.
