This place does not disappoint! Been here 3 times and tried different items every time and always delicious! Service equally as good, I highly recommend. read more

Not sure if this place was short staffed because of Memorial Day, but after waiting 50 minutes for our food, we decided to go elsewhere. Communication was lacking between the server and the kitchen as we were told a few times that it would just be another minute. It wasn't that busy in the restaurant and there were dirty tables everywhere. Too many places around with great service to give this place a try again. Hope others have a better experience than we did. read more

Great environment and food. Had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed our waitress, Nolei. Definitely takes the role of our favorite TC breakfast place. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - The Colony, Texas

I can't recommend a place if it takes longer for the food to arrive to the table then waiting for a table. We went here on a busy Sunday morning for brunch with my family. When we got here, I saw a line. Definitely normal to wait on Sunday for brunch. We finally got our seat and I ordered a benedict. You can't go wrong with benedict at any place. We waited over an hour for our food and then when I got my food... my poached egg was hardboiled. I was so disappointed because I wasn't able to eat raw yolk for the longest time. I needed to fill my cravings. Well, it makes sense it took them way too long for the food to come out. My husband ordered the chicken and waffle... The chicken was super dry. My mother in law ordered crab cakes and it was the only things we liked. Also, they forgot our beignets. Beignets were delicious, but not enough for me to come back. We spent over 2-3 hour at this restaurant. I don't have time for that! read more

They overcooked the bacon on my traditional breakfast takeout. In addition to missing 4 items that my husband had to return to pickup. This experience was very bad. read more

My first visit to 'Another Broken Egg Cafe!" Went there for breakfast to celebrate my wife's birthday! I was pleasantly surprised, the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, the service was GREAT, and I loved the food!! I will definitely be back many more times!!! read more

I'm extremely disappointed in this place. I have come here a couple of times during the weekdays and we are treated very well by the servers. The hostesses on the other hand are extremely rude and do not care how long you've been waiting. I decided to tell my family about this place because we've had a good experience here and brought six people this Saturday on November 4th. We were quoted a small wait of 20 minutes but after an hour we decided to speak up. My mother-in-law asked why it was taking so long and why other parties were being seated instead of pushing two tables that were close to each other together to accommodate us. The hostess had the most blank look on her face as she explained to us why they don't push tables together. At 90 minutes I went in and told her this was unacceptable and that we were going to go somewhere else since it was so hard to accommodate 6 of us. The hostess replied with, "Ok." I am extremely embarrassed for recommending this place to my family after that response and will not be coming here again. What a waste of an hour and a half. We walked over next door to Heritage pizza and let me tell you that has my business from now on. read more

We had heard that the food was good but the service was meh but not today. Tex was our server who was attentive but not annoying. She did an awesome job of checking in and recommending their Bloody Mary. One of the best Bloody Mary's I have ever had was followed by an AMAZING breakfast. I had the Salmon Benedict that was tasty and not over powered with the cream cheese as usually is the case. My wife enjoyed her spinach omelette as well. Good food, better service and best breakfast cocktails. Nothing more to say. read more

Trinity was awesome! We were seated quickly. Food was good. Great atmosphere as well. I definitely suggest this for a brunch place.

I'm a big fan and regular of this place but this morning I was very upset. I ordered the BLAST without bacon as I am a vegetarian and the 15 times before it had been no issue but this morning I was delivered my sandwich as usual. No bacon to eye. First few bites were great, ones following I tasted something crunchy. I took my sandwich apart to find small pieces of bacon. They obviously put bacon on it and then read the ticket and removed but left small pieces on it and didn't remake it. I told my server I was upset and grossed out and she said I'll let my manager know. I was very nice and polite about it and assumed the manager would come and talk to me and at the least apologize. Not looking for much even though I am a devout vegetarian. But nothing. Not an apology nothing. I am not sure I'll be back as it was no big deal to the server and she acted as if I was crazy for being grossed out. I've been vegetarian for 18 years. Most are accommodating she acted as if I was a freak. If I were the server or manager I would have at least acted apologetic or taken the sandwich off the bill since I obviously didn't eat it. read more

Came back today and it was disappointing. Again, it took several minutes to be greeted. Most breakfast places we go to on the weekends around here are right there or a minute away. We ordered the biscuit beignets since my husband loved the free sample from last weekend. Well, it took a while and when they did arrive so did our breakfast just a minute after. Didn't even get a bite swallowed before breakfast arrived. Pet peeve! Both of our breakfast were luke warm. My eggs Benedict had zero flavor. I doused it with salt and pepper and still found it unappetizing and inedible. My dogs enjoyed it though. Service could have made up for it but it just was not there. If anyone had asked or come around to check us or how the food was I could have sent it back. By the time I decided I was done with picking out the edible parts, then I was asked and told them to check the hollandaise sauce. I was told maybe the cook forgot to add something to the "mix". Bagged hollandaise? Maybe that's the lack of flavor is that it is not scratch made. Open bag, add water? Gross and that explains what was poured over my breakfast, at least that explains the way it tasted. No thanks. On the way out, the manager said his goodbyes but the mound of hostesses had more important topics to discuss. I appreciated the $5 off gesture but even if it was 100% comped, it would not have swayed my opinion of Another Broken Egg. Another broken guest. Sorry but won't be back. read more

Apparently when their wifi goes out, so does everything else. Way too long of a wait for food, and couldn't pay with credit card, luckily I had cash. Food was average. Will not be back. read more

The food is wonderful . . . A little pensive for large families. Unfortunately the service people did not smile much and it took us 50 minutes to receive our food after sitting down. This was after a 20 minute wait. If you have a couple of hours to eat this might be a good place. read more

We stopped for a very late Monday breakfast, a great time apparently. We were treated like royalty - complimentary beignets, caring attention from our lovely server Kay, and beautifully presented dishes. It's so nice when the chef, clearly passionate about the dishes, can focus on presentation well as preparation. The food was delicious, fresh and hot, with just enough spice to be interesting. The shrimp and grits were the best we ever ate. Still thinking about those grits. read more

I love those food and the service. My spiked coffee was also very tasty! I had the crab cake egg Benedict and the eggs and crab were both cooked perfectly. Try server was very attentive and was very good at her job read more

The service was amazing! Daniel was literally the funniest server I've had in a long time. He was attentive and very respectful to my daughter who has an cochlear implant. Not to mention very charming and well put together Now most people would look to me to ask what she would like to eat but he asked her using sign language!!! Like what? It's was such a cool thing to watch. The food was amazing! My family will definitely be back. Daniel is the way to go!! read more

We have heard amazing things about this place, so we decided to meet up for breakfast this morning to celebrate my birthday with friends. From the beginning our waitress was extremely rude and in a bad mood.(the waitress from the table next to us was great with her table) When we were ordering she could not hear me so she said "can you not say it louder" which I thought it was ridiculously rude! We work in the service industry so we decided to wait on the food, which it took a bit longer than expected but we were talking so we didn't worry. Food was brought out by a different waitress and then the manager came by to let us know the rest was gonna take a bit longer. By then we were out of coffee and water, our waitress gave us cholula but tossed it on the table. Our food had three hairs on the plates.(it wasn't touching the food so we didn't care). The food was also very good and we will give it a second try because we noticed the other waitresses were very good and friendly. read more

The food here is GREAT! The beignets are incredible...better than Cafe DuMonds! I had the Lobster/Brie omelette...and Wow! Super savory and just enough sweetness from the Lobster to make it a perfect bite. What's odd is that the dish came with country potatoes...and they aren't needed, I found them taking away from the dish. This place is a MUST do again. If you are looking at the traditional Bloody Mary or Another Broken Maria....go traditional. I can't wait to try more on the menu....and service was awesome!! read more

What a disappointment. The menu looked awesome and the service was soooooo slow. Our waiter disappeared for a good 25 minutes, food was cold, one entree was wrong, and they were not that busy. It's unfortunate, but don't waste your time. read more

Great food and service...The new pecan praline french toast is awesome...the beignets are not bad either...thanks Kay

A-Mazing!! Open seating at the bar or outside was faster than being on the wait list for us. The lobster and Stan's Mardi Gras omelet and were to die for with City Grits. Prices are reasonable to have regular repeat business. The wow food experience was one for the ages. read more

After my first visit, I found my favorite seat.... at the bar with Tex as my server. She's fantastic. Win me over enough to have come back multiple times. She's always quick to great me with a smile and a fresh cup of coffee. Service from her is spot on. But also spot on is the food. The beignets are a welcome treat. Where else can I get a pancake sampler? Like three kinds of pancakes on one plate. Great for the indecisive like me. Omelets ooze southern charm and lots of cream cheese. I have yet to get a dish I didn't like. Also wonderful is the teamwork, Tex may treat me like a princess but helping her is Manager Jay- he's full of wonderful suggestions, Anna - making sure the food is brought out prompt and hot, Annie- a red head full of charm that makes sure Tex won't let your coffee cup go low and lastly Verdina- a veteran with the company that ensures the consistent quality I've come to expect from this place. Highly highly recommended!!!! read more

My sister and her family were in town for the holiday so we headed here for brunch on New Year's Eve - Eve! Great as usual. I had the sunrise spinach w/ city grits (yum) and of course - my sister and I devoured the pitcher of kiwi-mango mimosa! It was great to see Rachel again and Dena the manager came out greeted us. Thanks again - I promise I will see you soon! read more

Perhaps after reading all the reviews I had higher expectations. Walked in, and were greeted right away by the hostess. We mentioned that it was our first time, and she said great we will get you some beignets as a welcome. Beignets came, and I was expecting them to be hot and soft and warm when eaten. Ours were cold and crunchy. I figured okay, no biggie that's just how theirs are. Waitress comes, and greets us. I ask a few questions she didn't have answers to, but she went and found out. We went ahead and ordered my daughters meal and my mocha no whip! Daughter food and mocha came our reasonably, but once again mocha was half way filled with whip cream. Before I could even say anything she was gone. I just took the whip off and starting drinking. The mocha was cold, and the worst I have ever tasted. At this time she came back, and I mentioned I didn't like the mocha. She just said okay, and nothing else was done. I then asked her what is some specialties, and she said she crawfish omelette was good. I said okay I will take that, but no sausage instead can we do jalepenos. She said no problem, and took my husbands order of huevos rancheros. We waited and waited, and everyone around us for food. When it felt like they were all done eating, and ready to go we got ours. She puts mind down, and no jalepenos. Hubby looked at his, and he said his was okay. I asked her why mine didn't have jalepenos, and she goes you only said for your husband. I then said, no, I said since I am doing no sausage we would instead add jalepenos. She goes, oh okay. Went back and just got me some raw jalepenos. She then asked if I wanted hot sauce. I said yes, please. I went to take my daughter to the bathroom quickly, and when I got back no hot sauce! Our waitress was no where in sight, and finally got some elder lady to stop to ask for hot sauce. She then in a rude voice said you could have asked any of us you didn't have to wait for your waitress. I told her I have tried flagging down a few of y'all, and you were the only one that stopped to ask what I wanted. Finally, got my hot sauce, and hold and behold my egg was a disappointment. It tasted nothin like I know of Louisiana flavor. It was truly bland, and even hot sauce couldn't save it! I think I'll just stick to cafe Mila, eggscelent, breadwinners, or even hash a go go! Customer service and food is always great, and worth the price we pay! I truly felt like this place was over-hyped, and was a $40 disappointment! Sad, I was hoping to have another great breakfast option close by! read more

1st bad impression for me we waited for a while saw tables that needed to be cleaned that were unattended for a long time hostess have bad attitudes in front of guests. And making remarks about the guests when being call upon, very unprofessional in my option, being in the culinary field I wouldn't accept this kind of treatment towards valued customers. Also some staff were using their cell phones and gossiping in front of guests. The hostess need to help out other servers in attending tables to help out the rush of customers, instead of waiting around doing nothing. But overall the food was delicious. read more

Great food! Huge portions! Our waitress, Veronia was super sweet and helped us enjoy our first visit!

We went on a weekday morning and were immediately seated. The menu had plenty to choose from and it all looked great. The server was very nice and professional. The food was delicious. I'll be going back. The staff told us the place is packed on the weekends and to call ahead on weekends to avoid long wait times. This doesn't appear to be an issue during the weekdays. read more

Terrible service!! They suggest you use their app to call ahead, but the estimated wait time is completely inaccurate. I arrived at the time the app suggested, but the hostess said it would be another 20 minutes before I could get a table as I was still 5th in line. When I asked about the app, she rudely responded that it's not a guarantee and lectured me about how I was wrong. They don't sync their waitlist to the app so it's basically useless. Needless to say, I left. I called The Egg and I, another local breakfast spot. Their hostess was very polite and we had a great breakfast. read more

Service was excellent. We had the bananas foster pancakes and the cinnamon roll French toast. These items came with eggs, and one side. My eggs were overcooked. While the food was good, I personally think it's a little overpriced. I would return just for the beignets. They are excellent. read more

My first time eating here and I sat by myself at the bar. I was able to walk in and grab the only seat at the bar at about 11am on a Saturday. There were people waiting for tables. If it's just two or less, I'd suggest the bar. Amazing service. The waitress that's also a bartender (bartress?) never let my water get halfway empty, even though she was extremely busy fielding all of the drink orders by herself for the entire place. I think her name was Sierra. She's great. I ordered the pancake trio with the banana foster, mixed berries, and lemon blueberry. They were good in that order with the berries almost tying for first. The lemon blueberry has goat cheese on/in it, and while I'm a fan of goat cheese, it couldn't match the taste of the other two pancakes. My scrambled eggs and bacon were delicious as well. Food came out quick and hot. Definitely a great brunch place if you want the basics with some fun stuff thrown in. read more

We had a thirty minute wait (which is understandable on a Sunday am). We ordered French toast with one scrambled egg plus an additional one egg scrambled with an English muffin. It took almost 30 mins to get our order. It showed up cool as if it was sitting out waiting to be delivered. We rejected everything and walked out. Get your act together! read more
