Hmmm, I'm torn by this place. It's not horrible, but it wasn't mind blowing good. Follow me... The Good - Whatever they do to their pancakes, keep it up. it's like butter is melted inside the pancakes. I really enjoyed my little cousins food. Don't judge. He didn't want it, and there was a reason I ate it. Keep going... I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict. This had 2 kinds of onions on, capers, salmon, poached egg over the English muffin with a THIN layer of cream cheese Good enough. However, what's missing from this dish?? NO SAUCE CAME WITH IT.... Which brings me to.... The Bad- My Benedict didn't automatically come with sauce. So, they bring me this plate of a DRY English Muffin with the above. I ordered a side of hollandaise and it comes out. Immediately, I ask our Awesome server, "is this from a package". He says no. However, being the foodie that I am, I KNOW this wasn't really hollandaise. It was separating and looks like it originated from a powder. Furthermore, after sticking my fork in the "sauce" and tasting it, I determined my original assessment was quite accurate. It was pretty nasty. As a result, I wasn't happy with my food because I didn't get that savory flavor I was desiring. This place is OVER PRICED! For the food i ordered and it came with a side of potatoes, it was 15.00 BUCKS! I'm sorry, but for that food and the quality of it, I just don't think this is acceptable. The service was really good. Tried this restaurant on a whim for breakfast and was very impressed by the quality and amounts of the food. Add in extremely freindly staff and it is a place you must try. Prices are comparable to any sit down breakfast place and location is convenient to shopping afterwards. read more

Went here for brunch on the 4th with my mom and sister and we had a great time. We were immediately seated when we walked in, as they were not too busy for the holiday, and our server took our drink orders as we looked over the menu. And since I'm obsessed with pancakes (and grits)... I pretty much knew what I wanted, as did my sister with her choice of waffle, bacon, and sausage. So as my mother continued to read the menu from top to bottom, I asked our server (who was not only cute but fantastic and attentive) to start us off with the Biscuit Beignets. After a couple of minutes, the beignets came to the table piping hot and smothered in powder sugar. My small complaint would be to hold back on the sugar as those fried delights were quite yummy, but the sugar had us all asking our server for Water!!! My mother had finally decided on a shrimp and sausage dish that was changed to come served on some grit cakes, the kitchen was very helpful with the changes to her dish and she enjoyed it. I enjoyed my large buttermilk pancakes (2 are plenty trust me) and the grits were perfect (with a bit of added salt). My sister also enjoyed her waffle and crispy bacon, she'd gotten the patty sausage and the taste was very different for her, probably from being use to eating store bought patty sausage, but she and my mother said it wasn't bad just different and well seasoned. Overall, it was a nice first experience at Another Broken Egg in MS, so I will definitely be trying one here in GA as well. Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but tastes even better in the afternoon with awesome company!!! read more

We were never able to be seated at the restaurant. We checked in via yelp and hour before we left with a 68 minute wait time. When we arrived we had 12 people in front of us. We understood we would be waiting because we were a large party of nine. We reached five people in front of us when we were instructed to see the hostess. When we went to the hostess our reservation was missing. We were told by the manager he had sent us up because the large party at the table in the back was leaving and they were cleaning the table for us. We waited several minutes and nothing happened. We realized that the table the manager was referring to was just getting their food. All together we waited two hours and was unable to eat. We left and went to five guys instead. We will rethink this next time. We are very disappointed. read more

The finest breakfast experience in the metro area. ABE has a full range menu with omelettes and Benedicts, as well as pancakes and waffles. The food is delicious, consistent, and the ingredients are superb. Their Eggs Benedict is the best that I have ever had! A unique offering not to be missed is the sweet potato pancake. It fills your plate with sweet and spicy comfort food goodness. It is topped with candied pecans for a spicy crunch. Wow! Even more remarkable is the waitstaff. Somehow ABE attracts the nicest staff in town, regardless of price point. Jerry, Neil, Keith, and the rest of the crew are the kind of truly good human beings who you want to know. Always has a super long wait, but you might be able to grab a spot at the bar. The wait staff seem a bit unhappy but the food is pretty good. There's not a lot of places to eat breakfast in Jackson so this is a little out of my way, but I go if I'm craving a big breakfast over the weekend. I usually start with the beignets. Although in the past this business has had my high praise-primarily because of their very welcoming treatment of me and my ESA companion a small wire hired dachshund Frank who never has ever had any negative issues, unfortunately today we were turned away and not allowed to even sit outside on the patio with Frank. They actually wanted me to leave Frank tethered outside the patio fence with some water (ooh-well at least that is something). I am terribly disappointed because I brought my mother from Arizona specifically to this restaurant because they were supposed to be pet friendly, to enjoy a peaceful elegant breakfast. We had been looking forward to it since yesterday I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. They embarrassed us, were rude and unreasonable- they could have accommodated us. If you love breakfast this is the place. Don't plan on "in and out" because there's normally quite a crowd especially on Saturday and Sundays but the breakfast selections are wonderful, especially the eggs benedict...and you can even have a mimosa or bloody mary. read more

Food was decent, but the service was absolutely horrible. After a recommendation from a friend, I decided to stop in. The wait was 1 hour+. Decided to walk around the mall while waiting. A lot of nice stores. After being seated, took roughly 10 minutes to even be asked about drinks. Once we got our drinks, we ordered and it took about 30 mins for food. The waitress never stopped back by our table. To be honest, I never saw her again. We had to flag another waitress down to get refills, and to get our ticket. Absolutely HORRIBLE service. The wait went from 20 to 45 minutes and the food took a while, however once we received our order it was fantastic. The food was delicious lunch prepared and the service was good. My husband and I were traveling from New Orleans and decided to revisit this breakfast/ brunch dining table. The server did forget to order my husband pancake and by the time he received it he'd finished the meal coupled with the fact we wanted to get back on the road to St Louis, so we packed it to go. I also ordered the chorizo and it was tasty, but I was picturing sausage when I ordered it, but it's more like a ground meat. It was good, but really salty. We we're ok with the wait time but once seated it took forever to get a simple cup of coffee and then it was full of grounds. I ordered a signature cocktail and after 20 minutes the waitress came back and said they didn't have an ingredient...they have now run out of coffee creamer and can't find a mimosa glass for a....mimosa. Food came out and was good although the sausage gravy was a bit underwhelming the other plates with crab and shrimp and such were tasty. I hope this is an isolated incident but I wasn't impressed.
