First time here and it was pretty good. I met my husband there as a mid-week lunch date. There was a pretty decent amount of people there but we were almost just overwhelmed? Right when you walk in, I knew it was going to be overstimulating. It is LOUD. And not just volume wise. Everything is loud. The walls are covered in football wallpaper, then signed pictures on top of that. Then tv's. Then speakers. Don't get me wrong, some people love that vibe. I just wasn't prepared for that walking into a BBQ place. Secondly, the menu is freaking massive. You stand up front to order, which reminds me of popeyes or arbys, etc. We stood there gaping for a good five minutes just trying to read ALL of the menu. I was thrown off from it because I would rather there be 14 items on the menu and you make sure those 14 items are fresh, hot, cooked perfectly every single time for consistency, rather than there be 44 items and it's just a luck of the draw whether you're going to have a hot or cold meal. I ordered a loaded potato, because yeah, overstimulated. So much at once and my mind just went *nope* so I got a loaded baked potato and their side of the day which was sweet potato casserole. Husband ordered two chili cheese coneys and fries. I told ya, it's alot at once. Both meals were hot, thankfully. Do I think it was $42 worth of lunch? not in the slightest. BUT I wanted (and will try again) to give it a shot. I just feel like its average. There are definitely room for improvements. Overall, worth a shot. read more

This place got me out of a jam in the late evening. I called ahead only 10 minutes before closing. My guy took order over the phone. I got the rib tips appetizer with fries. When I got there, walked right in and got my food which was ready. And the employees seemed nice enough. Food was great. Taste great. Meat fell off the bones. Fries were so hot and there was quite a bit of food for the price I was shocked. They were cleaning up to close but it was a good 1st experience. I'll try them again. Tried this place yesterday while we were in Madison. So-so at best. Girl behind the counter wasn't much help when we told her we had never been there before and was asking questions. Within the last year, it has gone down drastically, with customer service being the #1 issue. As you can see from previous reviews before mine, their customer service is downright terrible. From the minute we walked in the door, no one even made eye contact with us, or said hello/welcome. There were 3-4 people behind the counter doing nothing, and no one was in line, so there's no excuse for that. One lady was on her phone with someone on FaceTime, and the others were standing around talking. As we approached the counter, the lady that took our order didn't even greet us, or say "how may I help you?" She just stared at us. We are accustomed to the sweet ladies, "Ashley" and "Mimi", that used to work at the front, and they ALWAYS greeted us with a smile and made us feel like we were welcomed. I guess they don't work there any more, because I haven't seen either one in a while. :( On to the food: it was very good, it came out hot and tasted delicious. The BBQ chicken was smoked to perfection. My only critique would be to improve the flavor of the baked beans, and cook the steak fries crispier. Soggy fries are never good. If Full Moon could train their staff and improve their service, we'd go back to being regular customers. read more

I purchased the pork rib plate and a pound of brisket. I was disappointed by the meal. The pork ribs were ok but I could tell they were not fresh. The meat was extremely tough around the edges. It was very difficult to chew and difficult to swallow too. The fries were also not fresh. They were cold and tasted stale and rubbery. They didn't have any salt whatsoever on them. There was also no salt or seasoning in the bag. The brisket was disappointing as well. It had no seasoning. Some people may say the meat does not need seasoning as it's all the flavor you need. That might be true if it weren't for the fact the brisket was cold, not fresh, and it tasted like it was prepared some time ago. There was zero seasonings on it and it was tough. I lived in Texas for over a decade and I guess Texas spoiled me because I was introduced to brisket there and all the brisket I've eaten at smokehouses there, in particular Lockhart smoke house in Dallas, TX off of Davis Street, simply melts in your mouth. It's fresh and super tender and seasoned perfectly. This brisket could not even compare. I paid $29.00 for my meal. I will not be returning. Everyone who has said they have good food is lying, their draft beer is flat and I wouldn't feed their brisket or pulled pork to my dogs. Both the brisket and pork tasted like rubber covered in BBQ sauce. The customer service was awful, the people at the front counter barely acknowledged me when I wanted to order or they just don't respond when I asked a question. Im not recommending this place because of the woman with the blonde hair. Every time I go in and she is there she assumes I'm uber eats or doesn't acknowledge my presence opposed to other customers. So I took the second trip today to the new Full Moon in Madison, MS. The first visit I walked out after standing in line for about 45 minutes. The second trip today was not as long but still stood in line about 15 minutes to order and then waited about 30 minutes for my order. All I ordered was two sides of baked beans and a half rack of ribs. I would think the kitchen could be more organized, or perhaps more help, to separate to-go orders from in-house orders. This would eliminate a lot of waiting. Finally get my order and to sure it is correct, I check it and there is no bbq sauce at all. Ask the manager and he actually looks in my bag like I don't know what I am talking about. This manager lacks a lot in personality and attitude (acting as if it were an imposition for him to get bbq sauce). I have worked in restaurants and personality goes a long way. I will say the ladies behind the counters, and those delivering the food, all had pleasant attitudes today. Get home and the ribs are ok but not good. The outside of three (3) of them were so tough I could not eat them at all. The others were almost pure fat. I actually threw three of the ribs in the garbage. The beans were so so to say the least. The place looks great from the outside. The inside was a different story. The staff was less than welcoming. Not a big deal for me but worth mentioning. Ok so I order the brisket plate for $24. When I tell you this was the driest brisket I have ever seen or eaten. It was brisket jerky. They must have cooked it for 2 days and then run it over with a car. Zero moisture. I have to start by saying the service was good. After that I must say - this was a night I'll never forget and it boils down to $73 of BBQ for a family of 4 and a night with an American Standard toilet. The BBQ went down easy. But after 30 mins I felt my stomach churning and I knew I better speed up and get home quick. Before I turned into the neighborhood I was already breaking out into COLD SWEATS. I ran up the stairs to get to a commode no one would be around and then it happened - 55 minutes of nonstop nuclear drone strikes!! At one point I thought I wasn't gonna make it. But as I held on the the back of my ankles in tears gasping for what was left of the oxygen in my small bathroom, I prayed "Lord, if you just get me off this toilet I'll never walk in full-moon again!" Even the dog wouldn't go near that bathroom for 48 hours until we called a professional cleaner and an exorcist out to clear place. Enjoyed a dinner here with friends. This is counter service where you order and pay and they deliver the food to your table. Great chill environment very friendly fast customer service. I had a vegetable plate that included some fantastic Squash casserole - their Wednesday special vegetable. I also had extremely good fried green tomatoes. Try the white barbecue sauce as a dip for those. I ordered fried okra and deviled eggs to take home and they were equally good. It even came with a mini corn bread that's just the way I like it - slightly sweet. They have beer but are waiting on their liquor license to serve wine. This place is great. The food portions are huge. The food tasted awesome. My sister and I went just looking for good bbq food and my daughter and I went on another day. Still awesome food. The service at the counter was amazing. We were greeted upon coming to the counter. Placed our orders and sat down waiting. There are plenty of tvs to watch around and you can eat outside. Got our food and was shocked to see how much food we got. It was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. They have a VERY LARGE SELECTION OF FOOD. You won't be disappointed.
